We didn't know exactly what we were getting into when we started this podcast. But after a year--and our first season in the books--we're so inspired by the conversations we had with some truly incredible guests. Knowledge was dropped.

The Granny Squibb started brewing her iced tea in the early 1930’s in Saunderstown, Rhode Island. Generations of her family and friends enjoyed the beverage beachside on hot summer days, but in 2009 Robin Squibb-- Granny Squibb's granddaughter, founded The Granny Squibb Company in Providence, Rhode Island. Honoring the original recipes, while remaining a staple in the local community, Kelley McShane, CEO of Granny Squibb's Organic Iced Tea, and her husband and business partner Nick Carr, have taken the reins from Robin (it's a funny story, actually), working to grow the brand by expanding well beyond Rhode Island.

Meghan Grady has shaped much of her career around giving back. After taking on the Executive Director role at Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island in late 2019, she was almost immediately put to the test. When the pandemic hit, Meg and team carefully navigated wildly uncertain times within a sector that relies--and thrives on--community engagement. Meg's steadfast leadership, and adaptability, allowed the organization to operate mindfully, pivot where needed, and continue to grow throughout 2020 and into 2021. When things looked dire, the opposite happened, and Meg connected deeper within the Rhode Island community. For Meg, giving back to her community isn't a nice-to-have bullet point on her resume, it's an achievable mission, and one that keeps people fed and flourishing.
