I am a former Army Officer/Sergeant, former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) for the State of Georgia Contract Management Professional, Manufacturing Operation Management, Quality Management, Plant Engineer and Process Engineer/Management Consultant and Loader/Unloader, and Package Car Driver.  I have worked in management within the private Industry for over 20 years.  Additionally, I am a humble recipient of the coveted 2015 Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award from Strayer University which is located within the City of Stonecrest, GA and Douglasville, GA up to the point where I had a life changing medical challenge.  Strayer University's Board of Directors bestowed this coveted award upon me for my leadership performance within the National Contract Management Profession.  Under my leadership and vision, we were awarded our first of two (2) covet Gold Graalman Industry Awards during my administration.  Under my administration, we expanded and strategically aligned the Atlanta Chapter to be the benchmark for other NCMA chapters to model after within the Contract Management Professions worldwide. Mrs. Jazzmin Cobble was sworn-in as the second Mayor of Stonecrest on June 17, 2022. 

Mrs. Jazzmin Cobble is honored and excited to serve as the Mayor for the City of Stonecrest. As a fellow resident, she has a vested interest in seeing that each generation in the City of Stonecrest has the representation, resources, and services to enjoy a quality of life. Ensuring that the city can directly provide these simple yet necessary elements to its residents is of the utmost importance to her.

During her 5.5 years on City Council, Jazzmin built a reputation for being a strong voice for her constituents while also demanding fiscal responsibility and accountability from the city administration. She dedicated herself to setting up the city government with a foundation of fiduciary integrity and servant leadership. Mayor Cobble led by being vocal about improprieties and vigilant about instituting effective solutions. She worked in partnership with my fellow city council members to implement legislative solutions that have resulted in the unified government you see working today.

In 2019, she created her signature, annual community event, "Screen on the Green and Entrepreneur Expo" featuring both youth and adult entrepreneurs in Stonecrest with free food, live DJ, children’s activities, live performances by resident artists and a family-friendly movie in the park to culminate the evening. Mayor Cobble has also served as the Chairwoman of the Finance Committee of the City of Stonecrest working closely with the city staff to ensure that contracts and purchases were compliant with state laws and city policies.

Mayor Cobble believes that future of the city rests in the critical work that lies ahead in rebuilding and reforming Stonecrest. Continuity between both branches of government is the stronghold that will reinstate confidence throughout her beloved community. Under her leadership, the Mayor’s Office works in lockstep with the City Council to advance one unified agenda that will make the city one that everyone can be proud of. Restoring hope to the residents and resetting the level of expectation for the business community helps move the city forward, together. She believes this is accomplished by bolstering sustainable policies, processes, standards, and principles throughout all the lines of service that the city provides.

Mayor Cobble holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from her beloved alma mater, Albany State University. She also holds a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Government and Nonprofit Management from DeVry University. Additionally, she holds certifications from the State of Georgia in both Procurement and Fiscal Management.

Mayor Cobble has served in state government for over 13 years through various state agencies. Currently, she serves this great State of Georgia as the State Director of Fleet Management. Immediately preceding that position, she served as the Operations Manager for the Department of Audits and Accounts.

Dr. Daniels Adoma is the current owner of Diane Adoma Consulting LLC a professional management woman owned firm who specializes in training, communications, and marketing. She is the former owner of Adoma & Associates DBA H&R Block in Rockdale County and was the first Black American to own franchises in the southeastern united states. She is currently a Public Information and Communications Coordinator subcontractor for the largest project that GDOT has awarded in DeKalb County and this year her firm reached a major milestone in growth.

Her past work experience spans more than 25 years with fortune 500 firms such as CNN, AT&T, and others. Diane Adoma Consulting LLC is currently certified through SBA as a Woman Owned Small Business and is certified as a Minority Woman Owned Business and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise in five (5) states. Dr. Adoma has a doctorate degree with an emphasis in Human Resources Management, a master’s with an emphasis in eCommerce and a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is also a published author and an expert in small business research in Georgia with her writings available in libraries across the nation.

With a passion for small businesses, Dr. Adoma launched the “100 Women 100 Million Dollar Project” to help women become government contractors. Her community involvement spans across not just Georgia but around the world. As Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the largest chamber for people of color in Georgia she is also the membership chair for the Tucker Rotary Club. She has volunteered with Georgia Greater Black Chamber and ATL Airport Chamber and the Conyers Rockdale Chamber. In addition, as a member of National Council of Negro Women she hopes to one day be president to continue to inspire and motivate women that failure is simply a “stepping stone to success”.

Calling Stonecrest home since I was 13, I've watched the community come into its own and grow up alongside it. As an alumni of Miller Grove High School, I've worked as a young leader in my collegiate and political career to fight for a transparent and accountable government. 

During my time as a student leader at Georgia State, I fought to 

  • Create a pilot program for free menstrual products on campus
  • Fought to protect students during COVID-19 by introducing a Pass/Fail Resolution to the USG
  • Mentored young freshmen and guided them through their first years
  • Educated and engaged students on the importance of youth involvement in their community

Since Graduating, I've been blessed to work for the community in Stonecrest and Lithonia by advocating for the passage of two ordinances to decriminalize cannabis under an ounce in city limits to protect citizens from overbearing government.

For the City of Atlanta.

I’ve also worked as a Construction Project Manager and as a liaison for community citizens and in-house stake holders for the SPLOST Program for Construction Renovation and new Facilities for Clayton County. 

 I have a passion for good governance of taxpayer resources.  I believe in Safety, being a good Servant to the public and a good Steward of public resources.

STONECREST, GA – Stonecrest Parks and Recreation has planned another exciting
event for the community to help bring in the holiday and spread some cheer. The Soulful Tree Lighting
Spectacular is set for Saturday, December 11 from 4:00 – 8:00 at the Old Sam’s Club, 2994 Turner Hill
Road. This is the City’s second annual tree lighting, and the festivities have been expanded with live
music, a Stonecrest Santa, hot drinks and treats from local vendors, and more!

Broadway choreographer and well-known local show producer Stepp Stewart will serve as emcee and
he’s bringing along his dance team The Chocolettes. In addition, we will have Atlanta’s Something for
the Soul singing holiday tunes, plus a special Stonecrest Santa and friends.

Holiday characters will be on hand to greet guests as they come into the event space, and the City will
have attendants to direct people to their parking space. Once parked, guests will have the opportunity
to enjoy great music, take selfies with our Stonecrest Santa and his helpers, and enjoy some hot drinks
and treats.

Stepp Stewart kicks off the show at 4:30 with a special opening before bringing up Something for the
Soul. There may even be a surprise musical guest appearance. Once the sun sets, City leadership will
share brief remarks and then start the countdown to lighting the tree.

The community is encouraged to register in advance via Eventbrite to help with headcount and to also
arrive by 4:00 to make sure they have a good spot. Gates will open at 3:30.
Event updates will be posted to City social media, so please follow @StonecrestParksRec and
@stonecrestcity on Facebook for updates.

Vaughn D. Irons is a 25-year capital markets, community empowerment and real estate development executive. He is the CEO of a community-economic development firm, APD Solutions Real Estate Group, that focuses on urban planning and real estate development. He spent decades working in banking, government, nonprofit and corporate sectors including 12 years as National Director of Freddie Mac’s Housing & Community Investment Department. Vaughn has an undergraduate degree in urban policy from Syracuse University, an MBA from the University of Maryland, and an MS in Commercial Real Estate from Georgia State University. He is also a proud graduate of the University of a Southern California Ross Program in Real Estate. Vaughn is an alum of Leadership DeKalb class of 2012, Leadership Atlanta class of 2016 and the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute class of 2017.

Jason Lary, Sr. was elected as Stonecrest, Georgia’s first mayor on March 21, 2017. Since taking office on May 1, 2017, Mayor Lary has led the efforts to staff the city and secure a location for the first city hall. Through a partnership with CH2M, a worldwide consulting firm, Mayor Lary is serving the citizens of Stonecrest by staffing professionals in code enforcement, planning and zoning, parks and recreation, communications, city management and administrative services. During his first few months in office, Mayor Lary also hired a team of staff attorneys, set up short-term financing to address the city’s cash flow needs and led the effort to begin adopting ordinances that will improve the quality of life for Stonecrest residents. 

In September 2017, Mayor Lary took the first steps toward implementing the city’s Economic Development Department. One month later, he began efforts to lure major corporations such as Amazon, a company set to open a second, multi-billion-dollar headquarters. Mayor Lary crafted an idea to develop a corporate brand for Amazon by eponymously naming the 345 acres to be occupied by the retail giant. The mayor’s efforts will continue as he targets companies like Apple, Micro Center, and Costco.


Civic Initiatives
Before Mayor Lary became actively engaged in cityhood initiatives, he was a 2012 graduate of Leadership DeKalb, a prestigious organization designed to advance emerging leaders throughout the county. This organization helps leaders identify ways to improve the quality of life of DeKalb County residents and businesses. Mayor Lary's cityhood experience includes serving as the founder and president of the Stonecrest City Alliance in 2013, and the chairman of Stonecrest Yes from 2015 to 2017. He raised more than $50,000 from individuals, small businesses and corporations to conduct two Carl Vinson Institute studies. A successful CVI study was required by the Georgia General Assembly before the City of Stonecrest, Senate Bill 208, could be allowed on the ballot. The 2013 study failed, and in 2015 the study passed. Mayor Lary is universally recognized as the architect and founding father of the Stonecrest Cityhood movement.

Greetings my name is Ryan Gallagher I am an entrepreneur and a recent two time college graduate with aspirations of becoming a lawyer in the near future.  I have been a resident of Dekalb county, specifically lithonia for over 22 years and I absolutely love my community and I want to see it prosper. I attended Arabia Mountain High school where I was blessed to receive the opportunity of not only obtaining my High School diploma but also an Associates degree in Network Administration. Obtaining a specialized skill and degree at an early age helped me learn the importance of education. 

I continued my studies at the world renowned historically black college Texas Southern University where I majored in Political Science with a dual minor in Spanish and computer science. There I would learn about the building blocks of government and what it means to come together as a society to promote the greater good. Politics has always been a passion of mine as well as helping the community to be the best they can be. Words can not express how happy I am to potentially be in a situation where I can impact and help others that I would not have been able to reach before. 

If I were so fortunate to be elected as a Stonecrest City councilmen I swear to uphold the laws of our city charter and constitution. I want to promote new business moving inside the city to generate more revenue and stimulate growth inside our economy. I will support our local schools and hope to generate new youth programs to enrich our residences' lives.  I will work to ensure that our local government has positive effects on our quality of life and is transparent with the citizens of stonecrest. With your help I hope to make Stonecrest the greatest city in America!

Tammy L. Grimes, a veteran educator, working mother and longtime community leader is the current District 5 councilwoman in the City of Stonecrest. A 34-year resident of DeKalb County, Grimes works in the school system and worships in her community. A faithful member and volunteer at New Life Church, she is also the Co-President of her homeowners’ association, a board member of the Simba Foundation, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Grimes is a firm believer in the knowledge that relationships matter.  She is a true servant leader and is genuinely concerned about people.

Grimes and her husband Reginald will have been married for 32 years as of September 23rd. They were partners in a successful venture that led to the development of The Estates at Trinity Village, a family-oriented community in Stonecrest, where they raised three children: their eldest, Reginald II, and daughters Taylor and Tylar – all of whom attended DeKalb County schools.

Grimes is well-known in her community and beloved by her former students, parents and colleagues. She has served the DeKalb County School System for over 26 years. Grimes received her B.A. degree in Marketing from Clark College and her M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University.

She is seeking re-election on November 2nd for the District 5 Council seat, as she is looking forward to……

“Moving Stonecrest Forward…TOGETHER”.

My name is Herbert Woods I moved to Atlanta in July of 2014 bought a home in Stonecrest District 3 in October of 2018. My mother has lived here for 40 years she is 92 years old with my stepfather. I have a son and daughter who live here in Atlanta, 2 grandchildren - 5 and 14 and two granddogs.
I was born in Chicago Ill., and was raised in a small town called Morgan Park. This was a very unique town and was my vision of a small black community were you had everything there that you needed in a small city. I will explain, the Savings and Loan Bank owned by a black man, Grocery Store owned by a black family, Music Shop owned by black family, Currency Exchange owned by black man, Gas Service Stations owned by black families and
I can go on and on. It was a clean community were you had at least 3 economical group of people living in the same community. My Dad had a business in this community my mother was a Crossing Guard went back to school to become a teacher. This is were I get my drive from never give up.

BIO:
Mrs. Jazzmin Randall Cobble is honored and excited to serve as the District 3 City Councilwoman for the City of Stonecrest. As a fellow resident, she has a vested interest in seeing that each generation in the City of Stonecrest has the representation, resources, and services to enjoy life. Ensuring that the city can directly provide these simple yet necessary elements to its residents is of the utmost importance to her. During her first term on City Council, Councilwoman Cobble has built a reputation for being a strong voice for her constituents while also demanding fiscal responsibility and accountability from the city administration. During her term, Councilwoman Cobble has focused on community clean-ups, District 3 community committees and partnering with the local elementary school. District 3 collaborated with Keep DeKalb Beautiful and adopted the streets that border her council district. Stonecrest Code Enforcement services have been instrumental for District 3 in cultivating a safer and cleaner community. In 2019, she created her signature, annual community event, "D3 Screen on the Green and Entrepreneur Expo" featuring both youth and adult entrepreneurs in Stonecrest with free food, live DJ, children’s activities, live performances by resident artists and a family-friendly movie in the park to culminate the evening. Councilwoman Cobble has also served as the chairwoman of the Finance Committee of the city. She worked closely with the city manager, accounting manager and internal auditor to ensure that contracts and purchases were compliant with state laws and city policies. Jazzmin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from her beloved alma mater, Albany State University. She also holds a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Government and Nonprofit Management from DeVry University. Additionally, she holds certifications from the State Georgia in both Procurement and Fiscal Management. Jazzmin has served in state government for over 10 years through various state agencies. Currently, she serves this great State of Georgia as the State Director of Fleet Management. She and her team are responsible for policy creation, data collection, auditing, education, guidance, and overall program compliance for over 20,000 state assets. Immediately preceding that position, Jazzmin served as the Operations Manager for the Department of Audits and Accounts. Jazzmin is a member of the Albany State University National Alumni Association (also DeKalb Alumni Chapter), DeKalb Chapter of the NAACP, DeKalb County Democratic Party Post Seat Holder HD 91, DeKalb County Young Democrats, as well a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. just to name a few. Professionally, she serves as the President of the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators, WEX, Inc. Advisory Board Member, a member of the National Association of Fleet Administrators and Government Fleet. She and her husband are the proud parents of one son. The Cobbles have been residents of Stonecrest (formerly unincorporated Lithonia) for the past 10+ years.

He studied Plant & Soil Sciences at Tuskegee University and Agricultural Economics at Clemson University, but is a self taught Food Systems Planner. Some of Cubby’s career roles have included serving as the Community Builder for Family Economic Success with the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Atlanta Civic Site, Organizer with the Housing Justice League (formerly Occupy Our Homes Atlanta), AmeriCorps tutor for geometry at Carver High School in Atlanta, representative of The Food Commons in Atlanta, and Chef Instructor at Pine Street Inn. He is the Founder of Atlanta Food & Farm PBC (AF2GA).
“Farmer Citizen” & Politics
Cubby was born in Boston MA within his beloved home neighborhood of Roxbury, but has spent much of his adult life in the cities of Atlanta GA and Houston TX. He expressed his early civic orientation by running for and being elected as Chair of Neighborhood Planning Unit T (NPU-T) in Southwest Atlanta (2008). He went on to run for GA State Representative (District 57) in 2012. Cubby’s current public service goal is to be elected to the District 1 seat of the Stonecrest GA City Council.

“Farmer Citizen” & Politics
Cubby was born in Boston MA within his beloved home neighborhood of Roxbury, but has spent much of his adult life in the cities of Atlanta GA and Houston TX. He expressed his early civic orientation by running for and being elected as Chair of Neighborhood Planning Unit T (NPU-T) in Southwest Atlanta (2008). He went on to run for GA State Representative (District 57) in 2012. Cubby’s current public service goal is to be elected to the District 1 seat of the Stonecrest GA City Council.

Well Angel and Gazza have reimagined the concept and have included audio dramas at the end of every episode starting with their hit series “The Forgiven” – Bible scandals retold in a more modern setting focusing on forgiveness in a cancel culture. Listen to previous episodes to hear the story from  the beginning. Audio Dramas are always towards the end of the episode. After the completion of the Forgiven we will be introducing Stonecrest’s very own audio drama based on a young couple living in the city.
