You become the one taking the brunt of their unhappiness, their insecurities, and their disapproval. In a (hyphenated) word, it's soul-crushing. The highs and lows of dating a narcissist will have you constantly scrambling to figure out WTF is going on and WTF you did wrong (hint: probably nothing). 

The ins and outs of my personal experience + the signs + the way out; we are barely just scratching the surface my friends. Tune in.
