Today, our real challenge is that we cannot abide or continue in His Word if we have not learned His Word. We learn of Yeshua through discipleship. Yeshua told His Disciples to follow Him. They heard what He taught and saw the miracles, signs, and wonders. Then Yeshua sent them out and they performed miracles, signs, and wonders as a result of their discipleship.

We must abide in the truth that we learn through discipleship. To abide is to continue in that truth and to live by that truth. As one lives by the truth of Messiah’s teaching, they will see the manifestation and power of the truth that inspires them to seek more of the truth. As we continue to abide in the truth, the truth makes us freer in every area where truth is applied.

John is trying to communicate to us that the condemnation is because light has come into the world and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Those who refuse to receive Yeshua as the Son of Elohim will die in their sins.

Yeshua, the Word of Elohim, obeyed the Word, spoke the Word, taught the Word, and lived the Word.

While Yeshua was teaching in the Temple Court, the Scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery. They said unto Him, “Master this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the Law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what sayest thou?” They were tempting Him that they might have reason to accuse Him. But Yeshua said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”

Because they only bring the woman and not the man, it is clear that the Scribes and Pharisees are not interested in justice or doing what the Law stipulates. The Law says that the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

This portion of John illustrates that Yeshua is truly the light of the world and those that follow Him shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Exodus: YeHoVaH Disrupts Egypt's Economy - Chapter 9:1-12

Pharaoh's hardened heart caused him to continually refuse to listen to Moses and Aaron's request to let the Children of Israel leave Egypt to serve YeHoVaH. As a consequence of Pharaoh not listening to YeHoVaH's servants, Moses and Aaron, YeHoVaH turns His focus to Egypt's economy.

Pharaoh's repeated rejection of YeHoVaH's single command of letting His people go, and Pharaoh turning a blind eye to the miracles, signs, and wonders, brought the people of Egypt's economy to a standstill.

Tune in as we examine the impact of YeHoVaH's next phase of convincing Pharaoh to let Israel go. This next phase of miracles would not only disrupt Egypt's economy, affect all the animals of the Egyptians, and the lives and livelihood of every Egyptian while preserving the livelihood of the Israelites and their animals from YeHoVaH's wrath.

Yeshua The Prophet- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 7 Part 4

We continue with John's testimony of what he saw and experienced as a follower of Messiah. John introduced us to the Word, tells us that the Word was Elohim, the Word was in the beginning, and then John tells us that the Word manifested itself in the human form of the Messiah Yeshua.

John indicates, by capitalizing the word “Prophet”, that Yeshua is the Prophet that Elohim spoke about to Moses.

In this last portion of Chapter 7, the Pharisees and Chief Priests sent officers to arrest Yeshua. However, the officers made a judgment call not to arrest Him. When questioned by the religious rulers, the officers said, “Never man spake like this man”.

Exodus: A Sign for Pharaoh - Chapter 8:20 - 32

Miracle after miracle performed by Moses and Aaron did little to cause or convince Pharaoh to release the Children of Israel so they could go and serve YeHoVaH. Pharaoh's heart was hardened to the point that he would not listen to the council of those around him. Pharaoh would not relent even when they described the miracles being performed by Moses and Aaron as, "This is the finger of God". Despite being powerless to compete, Pharaoh continued to defy the command of the Most High to, "Let Israel go!"

Join us as YeHoVaH raises the stakes and demonstrates His power in the sight of Pharaoh. The manifestation of YeHoVaH's power caused Pharaoh's household and the households of the Egyptians to suffer. Amongst themselves, the people acknowledged the plot of the religious leaders as Yeshua was speaking at the Feast. Some were perplexed because they knew the rulers’ intents, but Yeshua was speaking openly. Some wondered if the rulers had finally accepted Yeshua to be the Messiah.

Deuteronomy 18:18

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him.

The people also pondered what they believed based on what they had been taught in spite of what was written. For instance, they assumed He was born in Nazareth because He was referred to as Yeshua of Nazareth.

In this teaching, we explore how Yeshua exposes the people’s inability to discern and distinguish the revelation of the Spirit from the information of man that they had been taught by their religious leaders. Through this example, we see that denominational doctrines can impede on the Scriptures and blind men from the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

Exodus: Pharaoh Hardened His Heart - Chapter 7:25 – 8:19

The miracle of turning the waters of Egypt to blood, performed by Moses to demonstrate the power of YeHoVaH to Pharaoh, his magician's, sorcerers, and wise men, does not persuade Pharaoh to let the Children of Israel go. Instead, Pharaoh hardened his heart. The back and forth with Pharaoh and Moses, in actuality, was a back and forth between Pharaoh and YeHoVaH. In some instances, YeHoVaH hardened Pharaoh's heart, but in other instances Pharaoh was unyielding and hardened his own heart.

Yeshua and The Feasts of the LORD- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 7 Part 1

In this portion of John, we see that Yeshua knew the world hated Him and that His brothers were a part of that world that hated Him. At the Feast celebrations, no man spoke openly of Him for fear of the religious leaders. The religious leaders had made open threats about killing Yeshua and they threatened to kick anyone who acknowledged Yeshua out of the synagogue.

Over the course of Yeshua’s lifetime, He would have kept all of the Commanded Feasts in their appointed times. During the course of Yeshua’s Ministry, He gave no indication that the Feasts would cease to be observed after His death, resurrection and ascension.

Egypt was a land where its society and people worshiped many gods and was ruled by a king who surrounded himself with magicians, sorcerers, and wise men. Likewise, Aaron, Moses' spokesperson, was a counterpart to the magicians, sorcerers, and wise men who surrounded Pharaoh.

We pointed out last week that Messiah, the Word, became flesh. When He says eat of my flesh and drink of my blood, He's speaking to them words that are Spirit, but they are hearing His words in the natural. When you eat of His Word, consume His Word, you're eating His body and drinking His blood.

He dwells in you because you are consuming His Word! It's not something you do once a month, or once a quarter, or once a year, it's something you do every single day, all day. But if you're just simply memorizing His Word, learning His Word, and not applying or walking in His Word, then, you're following Him but you're not His Disciple.

Yeshua spent the bulk of His Ministry speaking to people who supposedly had the Word, but were following the traditions they had been taught as the Word.

The people had eyes but could not see and ears but could not hear. They couldn't see the Messiah who was standing in front of them because their religion, their teachings, their traditions, blinded them to the truth of what is actually written!

Looking For The King- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 6 Part 2

When Yeshua found out that the people were planning to try to force Him to be King, He departed and went into the mountain. Sometimes you have to get away from those who have an agenda for you that is contrary to your agenda. It's dangerous if you don't have an agenda from YeHoVaH because you will find yourself being manipulated to fulfill somebody else's agenda.

Yeshua sent His Disciples away by ship. The ensuing events of Yeshua and Peter walking on the water hold life-lessons for us.

No matter how rough things are for you right now, it's important to recognize that YeHoVaH is right there in the midst of it with you. If you don't, you'll find yourself panicking or misinterpreting the things you see.
Don’t let fear consume you to such a degree that fear tells you that you can't, or you shouldn't, or something bad is going to happen.
Never discount the possibilities of what Father can do in your life.
Whenever you're dealing with confidence, doubt is always present and there's the opportunity to become afraid. You have to press on and continue to press on.

Father is not limited to any limitations that you have placed on yourself.

Exodus: Let My People Go - Chapter 5:1-21

The elders of Israel believed, bowed their heads, and worshipped upon hearing the news brought to them by Moses and Aaron. Truly, YeHoVaH had looked upon their afflictions!

Moses and Aaron must now deliver YeHoVaH's message to Pharaoh; a message that will not be well received. This message would create hostility between the Children of Israel, of that generation, and Moses. However, the hostility toward Moses and YeHoVaH would continue long after Israel's deliverance from Egypt and for the rest of Moses' life.

Yeshua Feeds the Multitude- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 6 Part 1

It is evident in Scripture that 5,000 men were fed, but there was also an unnumbered amount of women and children present for this miracle as recorded by John. From the dialog recorded between Yeshua and Andrew, we see that Yeshua knew he was about to perform a miracle amongst His Disciples in the presence of the multitude.

Matthew, Mark, and Luke record Yeshua looking to heaven and giving thanks to His and our Father. The miraculous thing about miracles is that they are unexplainable. Of all the miracles, signs, and wonders that occurred in the Bible, in the Old and New Testaments, not one is explained as to how it happened.

Yeshua is teaching His Disciples and us a lesson: look to Father for our provisions not our resources.

Yeshua spoke of John as a witness, but spoke of His works given to Him by Father as a greater witness than John’s testimony. Our works should bear witness of us just as Yeshua’s works bore witness of Him.

When you are speaking things that are not in alignment with His Word, you are speaking hypocrisy. As a believer, your words, your actions, and your behavior should be one with His Word. That means our lives need to align with His Word. This is why we search the Scriptures and study the Word.

Exodus: Moses Angered YeHoVaH - Chapter 4:1-17

In last week's Teaching, we discussed the implications of Moses asking YeHoVaH to state who He is.

Exodus 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

The conversation between YeHoVaH and Moses on Mt Horeb continues after YeHoVaH revealed His name to Moses and gave specific instructions on what the Children of Israel should call Him. However, Moses' question reveals an internal resistance of not wanting to return to Egypt.

After several attempts by YeHoVaH to show Moses that he has nothing to be concerned about, YeHoVaH's love, patience, and longsuffering with Moses turn to anger. Moses' reluctance to believe YeHoVaH is rooted in a hidden fear and a strong desire not to return to Egypt.

Father, Son and Judgement- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 5 Part 2

In the Bible, there are times when Yeshua is referred to as Son; there are times when Yeshua is looked at as Elohim. In this passage of John Chapter 5, Yeshua mentions Father ten times. Yeshua makes it clear that the work He is doing is not independent of His and our Father YeHoVaH.

There are people today who see the work of Yeshua/Jesus as independent of the work of Father. In fact, there are those who declare, that as a New Testament believer, they only have to keep the Commandments Yeshua gave us, and they can disregard the Commandments of Father. Just as Moses didn't write any Laws independent of YeHoVaH, Yeshua didn't do anything independent of YeHoVaH!

YeHoVaH's Law, Jewish law, and Sin- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 5 Part 1

YeHoVaH’s Laws are given by YeHoVaH; His Laws are in the Bible. Pharisee laws are contained in their writings, such as the Talmud. There are also the laws of the Sadducees, that are contained in their writings. When Yeshua said, “Beware of the leaven …”, He was speaking of the leaven of the teachings.

Yeshua also said, “Beware of the leaven of Herod.” In the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and throughout the Book of Acts, there were four different Herods. Herod represented the Roman government.

It is not a sin to violate man-made laws. The judges do not send people to jail because they commit a sin; judges send people to jail because they commit a crime. Sin is the transgression of YeHoVaH’s Law given by YeHoVaH and written in the Bible.

Exodus: Moses the Murderer - Chapter 2:11-25

As the adopted son of the Egyptian Pharaoh's daughter, Moses was nursed and raised by his Hebrew mother. After Moses was weaned, he was delivered to Pharaoh's daughter's house. Moses grew up knowing he was Hebrew, even though he had an Egyptian name, and was raised in an Egyptian household by an Egyptian woman. Moses' Hebrew brothers and sisters were slaves to the Egyptians and were under harsh bondage as foretold by YeHoVaH to Abraham, the patriarch. When Moses was grown, his Hebrew identity conflicted with his Egyptian upbringing leading him to making a decision that branded him as a murderer. This caused Moses to flee to Midian away from both his Hebrew brothers and sisters and the Egyptians he was raised amongst. A Prophet without Honor- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 4 Part 4

Even though John reveals to us that the people were looking for Messiah, for Elijah, and for the Prophet; Yeshua testified that a prophet had no honor in his own country. Mark Twain aptly said, “Familiarity breeds contempt.” This means when you have a lot of knowledge about a person, you tend to lose respect for that person especially when they move beyond your assigned role for them. This could manifest when others expected something of you that you didn't want to live up to; they made rules that you didn't honor; or they laid down the law and you broke it.

This also manifests with the people around you, even with the people that love you. They may try to discredit you or reduce you to their level if you allow them. They become offended because you are very familiar to them and they think, “Who do you think you are?”

It is clear that our faith cannot force a change in the lives of others who are not ready to receive or accept this faith.

In spite of the backlash, we have to understand that the power of the Almighty is readily available to us and like Yeshua, we must be looking for faith among us to demonstrate this power.

Exodus: The Birth of Moses - Chapter 2:1-10

A Woman, A Testimony, and A Revival- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 4 Part 3

The first revival recorded in the Bible happened in the land of Samaria. After receiving revelations from Yeshua, the woman went into the city and gave her testimony. She told the people to come see a man who told me about myself.

The people came to see Yeshua and besought Him that He would tarry with them. He had a two day Revival! The people said we believe, not because of the woman’s saying, but we have heard Him ourselves and know that this is indeed the Messiah, the Savior of the world.

We must speak the word that has been revealed to us and share our testimony of how Father brought us out of the world into relationship with Him. Our testimony can encourage other people to desire to know Him. Once their connection to Father is made, Father can began to reveal Himself and their relationship in Him is strengthened because of their hearing and doing what He has spoken.

Exodus: The Prophecy Begins - Chapter 1:1-22

The writing of Moses known as Exodus, the second book of the Torah, a.k.a. the Law, a.k.a. the Commandments of God, opens by chronicling the Children of Israel who came into Egypt during the famine. Israel, the deceased father of the Children of Israel, has been carried back into the land of Canaan to be buried in the cave of Machpelah.

Before their sojourn in Egypt, YeHoVaH had sworn prophetically to Abraham to come to the aid of the Children of Israel and deliver them. Therefore, before Joseph died, he reminded the Children of Israel of the promise YeHoVaH made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel and made them swear to carry his bones from Egypt to the land of promise after YeHoVaH came to their aid.

Today we are going to talk about True Worshippers. When Yeshua tells the Samaritan woman her life history, which she hasn’t shared with Him, she perceives that Yeshua is a Prophet and the conversation transitions from a natural to a religious conversation.

When the woman mentioned that the Samaritans did not worship in Jerusalem, the location of the Temple where the religious Jews worshipped, Yeshua explained that the emphasis was never to be on the place. The emphasis was always to be on your relationship with the Almighty. Yeshua said that to worship YeHoVaH in spirit is to worship Him in mind, soul, and body, in accordance to truth.

It is impossible to offer true worship unless you know the truth.

Samaria was located in the center of Israel and was the land given to Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph. Joseph was the son of Jacob whose name was changed to Israel. The Samaritan woman identifies herself as a descendant of Jacob.

In this portion of Chapter 3, we continue with the conversation between Nicodemus and Yeshua. Nicodemus says that no man can do the works and miracles that Yeshua did if YeHoVaH wasn't with Him. Yeshua explains that you must be born again. Nicodemus wants to know how can a man be born when he is old? Yeshua responds by saying, “You are a teacher, and you don't know these things?”

In order to Be Born Again, we must focus on who Yeshua Messiah is. He is the Word, the truth, the way, and the life. We are supposed to proclaim His Word. Why? Because the Word is in us. His Word is alive, it lives and abides forever. The Word transforms us. You cannot have the Word without the Spirit, and you cannot have the Spirit without the Word, they work together in tandem. The Spirit is what enables you to know how to work and operate in the Word.

Apostle John is the only one of the Disciples that mentions Nicodemus. Apostle John is the only one of the Disciples that deals with the subject of being born again that Yeshua discussed with Nicodemus. Being born again means to be born of Elohim or born from above. Being born again is a supernatural occurrence that takes place. There is an internal change that causes an external manifestation.

How do we know when a person is truly born again? First and foremost, they receive Yeshua as the Messiah. Second, being born again is a process of becoming. We began as babes and grow to maturity or perfection in Messiah. Yeshua says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me.” What are we learning? We are learning of Him from His Word; the Word that became flesh. Life is in His Word! If His Word is in you, then life is in you. If life is in you, and His Word is life, then what’s going to come out of you? His Word!

As we went through the Acts of the Apostles, we saw there were miracles, signs, and wonders, that followed the Believers. When we come into relationship with Messiah, we are brought into the household of the Almighty who desires to live His life through us. We become the vessels by which He manifests His glory. The way we manifest the glory of Messiah, the glory of YeHoVaH, is by working the works we have been called to work. So, if you are a Believer, signs should follow you that are a manifestation of the glory of Messiah that has been given to you.

At the time of John Chapter 2, Yeshua had five Disciples following Him that attended the wedding in Cana where Yeshua turned the water into wine. Through this event, we can see clearly how Yeshua taught in two ways. He taught by what He said, and by what He did. John writes that this first miracle manifested Yeshua’s glory and His Disciples believed on Him.

There were disciples following Yeshua and when they saw the miracle, they believed on Him. Did they not believe on Him before? The question is, if they did, why would the author or translator indicate to us that now, they believed on Him. There are many places in the Bible where there are people who believed in Him, but didn't believe on Him.

We Have Found the Messiah: The King of Israel- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 1 Part 4

In the context of this passage, when John the Baptist says, “Behold the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world”; John is speaking of Messiah as our atoning sacrifice. Passover was not a sacrifice for sin; the sacrifice for sin was Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. As our High Priest, after His crucifixion, Yeshua presented His own blood in the Tabernacle, not made with hands, and thereby atoned for the sins of the world.

Unlike the earthly Levitical High Priest, who atoned for the sins of Israel year after year, Messiah did it once and for all. Our High Priest has atoned for the sins of the world whether the world recognizes their sins have been atoned for or not.

Therefore, we can declare with all boldness and confidence that our sins have been atoned for. We are to live like people whose sins have been forgiven. When Messiah returns, He is coming for those who recognize what He has done and are looking to His coming.

Behold The Lamb- The Gospel According to John- Chapter 1 Part 3

Apostle John was a disciple of Yeshua, and he was an eyewitness to the things that occurred with Yeshua. Apostle John also writes about some of the things that took place with John the Immerser/Baptist. John the Immerser was ministering to people who had knowledge of the coming Messiah. Last week we talked about The Messiah, Elijah, and that Prophet.

John the Immerser makes a statement in this passage that clearly reveals Yeshua as the Atonement sacrifice when he says, Behold the Lamb of Elohim which take away the sin of the world. John has a worldview when he says that Father is not just concerned about Israel, He's concerned about the world.

Almost every Passover, the phrase, “Behold the Lamb” or the “Lamb of God” is used in reference to Yeshua as the Passover Lamb. In this passage, John is not referring to Yeshua as the Passover Lamb but as the Atonement Sacrifice for the sins of the world.

The epic showdown between the Savior and satan that began at the birth of Yeshua comes into clearer focus in the closing Chapters of Matthew. When Yeshua was a toddler, satan used King Herod, who committed mass murder, hoping to have Yeshua murdered. This caused His parents to flee to Egypt for His protection.

At the beginning of Yeshua’s earthly Ministry, He was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted of the devil who tried to convince Yeshua to commit suicide by jumping from the pinnacle of the Temple. Throughout His Ministry, satan used the religious leaders who plotted and made several attempts to have Yeshua murdered at the hand of the people.

Yeshua’s illegitimate facade of a trial, at the hands of the religious leaders, concluded with a guilty verdict. The Lamb of God, who came to take away the sins of the world, had been convicted of crimes He did not commit and was condemned to death for blasphemy. The flagrant display of lawlessness, abuse of authority, and inhumane treatment against the Messiah by YeHoVaH’s representatives, their armed guards, and the crowd of people added insult to injury as they assaulted Him with their fists, spat on Him, mocked Him, covered His eyes and demanded that He prophesy who hit Him.

According to the Torah, being condemned to death for blasphemy required the religious leaders to stone Yeshua to death. But instead, they took the matter to the Romans not knowing they were fulfilling the prophecies of Yeshua. The Governor knew the religious leaders were envious of Yeshua. He concluded that Yeshua was an innocent man after receiving words from his wife and asking Yeshua if He was King of the Jews.

All of the abuse levied toward Yeshua during an illegitimate facade of a trial was at the hands of the religious leaders who were supposed to be YeHoVaH’s representatives, their armed guards, and the crowd of people.

We witnessed several of YeHoVaH’s Commandments being violated by the so-called Torah observant Law-abiding religious leaders that disqualified them from operating in their religious capacity.

In this teaching, the illegitimate facade of a trial continues. After a guilty verdict by those overseeing the farce of a trial, Judas recognizes what he has done with devastating results and the trial proceeds to another stage in the conspiracy of the religious leaders.

Yeshua and His disciples had crossed over the Kidron Valley into the Garden of Gethsemane after they had finished all the events that occurred at the Last Supper. Yeshua was deeply troubled about the events that were about to unfold and sought a quiet place in the Garden where He would agonize in prayer for three solid hours.    It was while they were in the Garden of Gethsemane, and after He had agonized in prayer and committed to Father’s will, that Judas brought with him a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the Chief Priests and the Elders of the people to arrest Yeshua.   After a minor scuffle, the disfigurement of a guard, and a healing miracle, Yeshua was apprehended. He was taken into custody to be put on trial just as He had predicted would happen before He came into the vicinity of Jerusalem. The events that followed were a flagrant display of lawlessness, abuse of authority, and inhumane treatment against the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world.

The plan concocted by the sons of Israel was to kill Joseph and then lie to their father. On the surface, it seems all of the brothers were in on the plan. However, if we listen to the rest of the story, we find they were not all on the same page.

Joseph is sold to a caravan of traders, Ishmaelites and Midianites, on their way to Egypt. The Ishmaelite's were descendants of Abraham and Hagar’s son, Ishmael. The Midianites were descendants of Abraham and Keturah’s son, Midian.

Last week in Part 2 of The Last Supper and Passover, we investigated further the conversation, dialogue, and language of the Gospel narrative of Matthew and compared statements made in the Gospel narrative of John to help determine and answer that very important question of whether the last supper Yeshua ate with His disciples was the Passover meal. We established a timeline of events that occurred while Yeshua and His disciples were together and discerned what was said and done as they shared their last supper together. After Yeshua and His disciples had eaten and done all that had to be done, according to prophecy, they went to the Garden of Gethsemane where another prophecy would be fulfilled. Yeshua was deeply troubled about the events that were about to unfold and sought a quiet place in the Garden where He would agonize in prayer for three solid hours. Yeshua’s disciples, whom He had instructed to watch and pray, after a very long day of teaching, eating, and ministry were very tired and struggled to stay awake. We will join Yeshua and His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane as prophecy is being fulfilled in this teaching, Another Prophecy Fulfilled.

This podcast looks at sibling rivalry as played out in the household of Israel.

Genesis 37:3-4 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

In this passage Jacob/Israel makes it abundantly clear who his favorite child is. Although the other sons came from different mothers, they all came together against Joseph, Israel‘s favorite son. That rivalry put Israel‘s favorite son in serious jeopardy, almost got him killed and ultimately got him sold into slavery.

In many ways, Joseph is representative of how Father will take the worst circumstances that have occurred to us in our lives and work them out to our good, if we believe Him and allow it to happen.

Genesis: Esau and the Edomites - Genesis 36

This portion of Scripture implies that Esau and Israel lived in proximity to each other. As we studied last week, they were in communication with each other because they came together to bury their father, Isaac.

Many of the radical sects of the Black Hebrew Israelite groups identify Caucasians or White people as Edomites and much of what they have to say about Edomites is very derogatory and racist. Remember, Esau is the twin brother of Jacob/Israel. The descendants of Esau are called Edomites.

Edomites were not forbidden to become part of the congregation of Israel. They could also worship among the congregation after the third generation. The Edomites are the cousins of the Israelites.

After Israel left Bethel, Rachael went into labor. She brought forth a son, but she died in the process. She named her son Benoni, but Israel called him Benjamin. Rachel was buried in the way to Ephrath which is called Bethlehem.

As the firstborn, Ruben would have inherited his father’s possessions, but by sleeping with his father’s concubine, while his father was still alive, meant that he was taking possession of an inheritance he had not been given. As a result, Reuben lost his place as firstborn.

Israel had 4 firstborn sons by 4 women. When Reuben lost his status as firstborn, Joseph became the next in line and was given the firstborn status.

The last thing Yeshua discussed with His disciples, while with them on the Mt of Olives before returning to Jerusalem, was concerning His return. Throughout His discourses with His disciples, Yeshua gave them glimpses of events surrounding His Second Coming. Yeshua spoke to them in parables and gave them the understandings of their meanings to prepare and stay ready for His return; reminded them of things He had already told them; drew their attention to the words of the Prophets Malachi, Ezekiel, and Isaiah; and spoke to His disciples prophetically as He revealed to them things to come. The disciples had no idea that in two days, their world would be affected in a drastic and dramatic way as Yeshua would be taken from them in a brutal, inhuman, and undeserving manner. In order for Yeshua to fulfill YeHoVaH’s will in Jerusalem, several events had to unfold with several players involved, including His own disciple who would betray Him and set the stage for A Conspiracy, Anointing and Betrayal.

In the mist of the trouble caused by Simeon and Levi, Israel is concerned about the people around him in the land coming against him and his house. Father instructs Israel to go to Bethel where Israel initially met Elohim as he was running from his brother Esau. Once again Israel’s fears were unfounded as the Bible says the terror of God was upon the cities and no one pursued Israel.

While Israel was in Bethel, YeHoVaH appeared and reaffirmed to Israel his name change. YeHoVaH begins to speak to Israel about his future and shared the plans He had for Israel and his posterity.

Alone with His disciples on the Mount of Olives, Yeshua begins to share the events surrounding His Second Coming. His disciples had asked Him to tell them, when shall these things be? What shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world? The questions they asked Him were in response to the teachings He had done and His remarks about the destruction of the Temple. Yeshua had warned them about false messiahs, false prophets, those who would mislead many, and signs to look for that would herald the end of the age. He had informed them that no one knew the day and the hour of His return and commanded them to always be prepared and ready. Yeshua used a parable about virgins and another parable concerning talents to emphasize the importance of His disciples being prepared, watchful, and doing what they had been instructed to do while they waited for His return. Throughout His discourses with His disciples, Yeshua gave them glimpses of events surrounding His Second Coming. In this portion of Matthew, Yeshua reveals more details of the events that will occur at His Second Coming.

In this passage, Dinah, the daughter of Leah and Israel, goes on an adventure and is discovered by the son of the king who according to this passage had sexual relations with her. He was accused of defiling her, but because of his honor, he wanted to marry her. He was willing to do whatever her family requested or pay whatever they asked.

Listen to the unfolding of a plot involving circumcision, a covenant given by YeHoVaH to Abraham and his descendants and those who joined themselves to him. Simeon and Levi’s actions, involving YeHoVaH in their deception, was very disturbing to Israel and he never forgot what they did.

Yeshua spent the final days of His earthly ministry with His disciples alone on the Mount of Olives preparing them for His death that would take place in two days. Prior to leaving the Temple Courts, His disciples had asked Him to tell them, when shall these things be? What shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world? The questions they asked Him were in response to the teachings He had done and His remarks about the destruction of the Temple. After telling them about a parable of wise and foolish virgins, Yeshua uses another parable about talents as a lesson to teach His disciples about the importance of the work ahead of them in advancing the Kingdom. The objective of the parable was to inform them that every person would have to give an account for what they did for the Kingdom with the time and resources they had. Although His disciples did not know that their lives were about to take a drastic and dramatic turn, Yeshua knew what was just a few short days away. Join us in this portion of Matthew as Yeshua, while He was still with His disciples, continued to warn and prepare them of His expectations of them to prepare and stay ready for His return.

Genesis: Israel, Esau, and Grace - Genesis 33

Israel cared for all of his family, however his selection of how he aligned them in preparation to meet Esau showed his preferences toward them. Remember, Israel was afraid of Esau, “Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.”

Israel planned for the worse and expected the worst-case scenario. He expected Esau to attack him and exact revenge on him, possibly even kill some of his family. Esau did not attack Israel, instead Esau embraced Israel, wept with him and offered him protection.

The Gospel According to Matthew: Keep Watch & Stay Ready - Matthew 25:1-13

While leaving the Temple, Yeshua’s disciples pointed out the beauty and elegance of the Temple. In His response to them, Yeshua said, "...See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down” When they arrived at the Mount of Olives, while sitting alone with Yeshua, His disciples asked Him three questions in response to the teachings He had taught while in Jerusalem and pertaining to what He had said concerning the Temple and its destruction. The disciples asked Yeshua, “Tell us, when shall these things be? What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Yeshua did not answer their questions directly or give dates or timelines. Instead, Yeshua began by warning them of being deceived by men that would deceive many and gave them signs to look for. In this parabolic teaching about virgins, Yeshua pressed upon His disciples the importance of watching and staying prepared so that when He returned to redeem His people, we would all be watching for Him, prepared, and ready for His return.

There are several lessons we can learn from the life of Israel or Jacob as we look at what Father has done and said. Men, even to this day, tend to ignore YeHoVaH’s Words and therefore the lessons they contain.

People have referred to Jacob as a deceiver, but as the Scriptures revealed, it was Esau who referred to him as a deceiver. Jacob acquired the birthright honestly and without deceit.

Father changed Jacob‘s name from Jacob to Israel but most still refer to Israel as Jacob. Father confirmed his name change in Genesis 35.

If Father changed his name to Israel, why do we still call him Jacob?

Why do many still say the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?

Messiah Yeshua’s earthly Ministry set the record straight concerning the preeminence of YeHoVaH’s Word in the earth in the lives of the people of Israel and the people of the world. From the very beginning of the New Testament writings, John the Baptist proclaimed Messiah’s coming and Yeshua made clear He did not come to do away with the Law or the Prophets.

Included in the Law was the proclamation of YeHoVaH that He would raise up a Prophet from amongst the brethren liken unto Moses. Yeshua’s Teaching Ministry reaffirmed the Words of YeHoVaH given to Moses and the Prophets, as well as it fulfilled what Moses and the Prophets had said concerning Yeshua.

As a Prophet, Yeshua’s Prophetic Ministry is put on full display in this portion of Matthew as He prophesies concerning future events. Isaac was still alive when Jacob returns to the land. Remember: Jacob had obtained the birthright, but had not taken possession of any of his father’s possessions. The last thing Jacob knew about Esau was that his mother said Esau was planning to kill him. So, Jacob sends messengers ahead of his arrival to inform Esau that he was already very wealthy and was not coming to take possession of anything. He only wants Esau to not take revenge on him.

The messengers returned to Jacob, saying, “We came to thy brother Esau, and he cometh to meet thee, and four hundred men with him.”  Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed. Jacob prays and reminds YeHoVaH of His words and promise of protection.

Last week in the first part of Chapter 31, YeHoVaH calls Jacob out from amongst his kindred in Haran to return to his kindred in Canaan. On the third day after Jacob had fled from Laban and taken his wives, children, all of his livestock and possessions, Laban was told that Jacob had fled.

Laban pursued Jacob for seven days. Laban shows his intent was to hurt Jacob and possibly kill him and take all his possessions that Laban still laid claim to. However, YeHoVaH came to Laban in a dream and warned him to take heed how he spoke to Jacob.

Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways please the LORD, He maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The Gospel According to Matthew: Godly Actors - Matthew 23:1-39

Acting is the art or practice of representing a character on a stage or before cameras. The role of the actor is to convince the audience or on-looker that they are the actual character they are representing.

Merriam Webster’s definition of actor is:

1: one that acts: DOER – one that takes an active part
2a: one who acts in a play, movie, television show, etc.
2b: one who behaves as if acting a part

The Biblical definition of an actor is hypocrite.

After Yeshua responded to those leaders who had joined forces to trap Him, He answered their questions with questions of His own that finally shut them down and ended any further questions from them.

Then, Yeshua proceeded to call out the Scribes and Pharisees, exposing them as actors in the service of God. Instead of leading people to God, they prevented people from entering the Kingdom of God and led the people away from Him.

In this portion of Matthew, Yeshua exposed the religious leaders for what they were and issued strong warnings and rebukes to them for their role of hypocrisy.

Genesis: Called Out - Genesis 31:1-21

In this teaching, Jacob receives instructions to leave and return to the land of his fathers, Isaac and Abraham. Jacob heard the conversations of Laban’s sons and see the countenance of Laban that is now very different than before. Jacob discerned that his welcome has worn thin. Laban realized he had been out witted, not by Jacob but by YeHoVaH.

Elohim spoke to Jacob and told him it was time for him to return to the land of his father and kindred. Father did not tell him to return to his father’s house, but to return to the land of his father, Isaac, and his kindred. Jacob now reveals to his wives the wisdom given to him by God on how to multiply the flock which becomes Jacob’s wealth. 

The Gospel According to Matthew: Marriage, The Law and Messiah - Matthew 22:23-46

Yeshua concluded His series of parables about the Kingdom of God, which exposed the hypocrisy and wickedness of the Chief Priests, elders of the people, Pharisees, and Herodians, only to be confronted with questions from the Sadducees that exposed their lack of knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures.

The Chief Priests, elders of the people, Pharisees, Sadducees and Herodians were some murderous people who would destroy anyone who opposed or resisted their teachings, practices, and commandments. They plotted to destroy Yeshua and attempted to bait and trap Him in public to give them a reason, and convince the people that He deserved to be killed. This is manifest throughout the Gospel narratives. The Chief Priests’ and Pharisees' fear of the multitude delayed their plot to lay hands on Yeshua.

Join us in this portion of Matthew as Yeshua responds to those leaders, who had joined forces to trap Him, and answers their questions with questions of His own that finally shuts them down and ends any further questions from them.

Genesis: YeHoVaH and Wealth - Genesis 30:25-43

YeHoVaH has no problem prospering those who pursue Him. He made Abraham rich; He prospered Isaac during a time of famine; and He prospered Jacob under the harsh treatment from Laban. The passage we are about to study highlights several Scriptural truths about wealth.

Jacob has fathered 12 children, 11 boys and 1 girl by his wives and concubines, and desires to move on from Laban knowing what kind of man Laban was. Laban was a cheat, an idolater, and continued to lay claim to all he had given Jacob.

Jacob knew he could not just leave, so he requested Laban send him away with his wives and children back to his own country. Jacob reminds Laban how he has been a blessing to him increasing his wealth. Jacob has a plan given to Him by YeHoVaH in a dream that he will implement and become wealthy. Jacob does not want Laban to give him anything. Jacob will work for his wages.

The Gospel According to Matthew: Parables and Taxes - Matthew 22:1-22

In a series of parables about the Kingdom of God, Yeshua speaks to the Chief Priests, elders of the people, Pharisees, and Herodians on a variety of topics about a father and his sons; obedience and disobedience; John the Baptist; prostitutes; tax collectors; and then, a land owner and tenants.

The evil and wickedness of the people led Yeshua to speak to them in parables so He could tell them about themselves without having to directly tell them or call them out, but to speak in such a way that they would draw the conclusions about themselves. Yeshua uses local language, events, and scenarios the people would have been familiar with in order for the parables to have their most profound effect.

In this portion of Matthew, Yeshua spoke to those who inquired of Him, in the presence of His disciples, about a wedding banquet and paying taxes to Caesar. Join us in this Teaching as Yeshua exposes the hypocrisy and wickedness of the religious leaders in the message, Parables and Taxes.

Genesis: Love and Hate - Genesis 29:30-35 and 30:1-24

In this Podcast, we will learn the 3 C’s of Haran: Customs, Culture, and Contracts or Covenants. These customs set the foundation for the birth of a nation and the 12 tribes of Jacob or Israel.

Leah not only was the first, but the older sister of Rachel. Jacob never wanted Leah, but was bound by custom to take her as a wife. Jacob loved Rachael, and Leah felt he hated her. YeHoVaH saw how Jacob was treating Leah and intervened by opening her womb to conceive.

Leah gives birth to the first four of Jacob’s eventual 12 sons. Two of Jacob’s sons came through Rachel’s handmaiden Bilhah. Jacob’s seventh and eighth sons came through Leah’s handmaiden Zilpah.

Rachel gives birth to her first son, Joseph. Then Leah gives birth to two more sons and a daughter. At the end of this passage, Jacob has 11 sons and one daughter.

The Gospel According to Matthew: Kingdom Eviction - Matthew 21:33–46

Yeshua’s interactions with His disciples, discourses with the Chief Priests and the elders of the people, and the parable of the man and his sons revealed some powerful and dynamic lessons on faith, fear, and the way of righteousness taught by Messiah Yeshua. Yeshua revealed that the Kingdom, He came to bring, was first offered to the Children of Israel, YeHoVaH’s firstborn, but was inclusive of all people who submitted themselves in service to YeHoVaH. According to Yeshua’s references to certain prophecies, all persons, including the eunuchs and strangers, had a part in the Kingdom.

Yeshua’s lessons on faith, in reference to the fig tree, His challenge to the Chief Priests and the elders of the people about the baptism of the prophet John, and their rejection of His teaching, leads Yeshua to share a parable about a landowner and his tenants.

In this teaching, Yeshua warns, the Chief Priests and the Pharisees in a parable directed at them and others, about what would happen to those who refused to recognize YeHoVaH’s ownership of His creation and their role in His Kingdom.

Genesis: Marriage and Deception - Genesis 29:1-30

Jacob did not understand the culture, customs, and nature of Contracts or Covenants in Haran. From his entrance into the region Jacob was introduced to a different way of life, but maintained his way of doing things.

Jacob makes a covenant or verbal contractual agreement with Laban not fully understanding the firstborn sister marriage-first custom. Laban knew this going into the agreement, but neglected to tell Jacob the small print. Leah was in on the misrepresentation because she would have to lay with Jacob and it was clear for seven years that Jacob was working for Laban in order to marry her sister, Rachel.

We see that in this culture the daughters did what was instructed by their fathers, who chose whom their daughters would marry.  Rachel was in on the plan too. She knew there was a marriage feast and that Jacob would be wed to Leah, but Rachel kept quiet. Jacob had to accept the arrangement for he had no choice if he wanted Rachel.

The joyous occasion of Yeshua’s entrance into the city of Jerusalem, the exploits performed by Him in the Temple Courts, and the prophetic fulfillments of the Prophets spoken hundreds of years prior, presented serious issues for the religious leaders. As Jacob is on the way to Laban’s house, his mother’s brother, YeHoVaH appears to Jacob in a dream and says to Jacob,

“I am YeHoVah Elohim of Abraham thy father, and the Elohim of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed.”

YeHoVaH reiterates the promises made to Abraham and Isaac that culminate in all the families of the earth being blessed.

Jacob called the name of the place Beth-el (House of Elohim). Jacob recognized He was conversing with YeHoVaH and began to strike an agreement with YeHoVaH in the form of a vow.

In this Chapter, Jacob, with the help of his mother, secures the blessing of the birthright. Rebekah remembers the words of YeHoVaH spoken to her which caused her to do what she did. Jacob knew what was being proposed and saw the danger in it, but his mother assumed all responsibilities even the possibility of being cursed because she was operating in what she had heard the Father say to her.

Jacob obeyed his mother and pretended to be Esau in order to secure the blessing of the firstborn. Jacob honestly and legally secured the birthright from Esau and here he obeys his mother to secure the blessing of the birthright from his father Isaac.

Communion, as observed in Churches and in some Messianic Assemblies today, has become a part of service where the congregants participate in a sacrament involving eating a piece of cracker or wafer and sipping a small cup of juice or wine symbolic of the Last Supper of Christ or Messiah.

Webster’s Dictionary defines communion as a Christian sacrament in which consecrated bread and wine are consumed as memorials of Christ's death, or as symbols for the realization of a spiritual union between Christ and the communicant, or as the body and blood of Christ. The sacrament is that which is believed to have been ordained by Christ and that is held to be a means of divine grace or to be a sign or symbol of a spiritual reality.

Is communion, as observed today, what Messiah intended when He shared His last supper with His disciples on the night He was betrayed?
Is the observance of communion today how the disciples understood what Yeshua meant then, and therefore to be practiced until He returns?
What did Yeshua do and how was it understood and practiced by His disciples in their day?

Because of Isaac’s blessings, the Philistines envied Isaac and asked him to move away from them. In the meanwhile, they closed his wells and laid claim to the wells Isaac’s herdsmen dug. Ultimately they wanted to make an alliance with Isaac because it was obvious they could not stop him because YeHoVaH’s favor was on Isaac.

We must endure the persecution in order to enjoy the blessings.

It’s like eating at the table YeHoVaH prepares before us in the presence of our enemies as David wrote in Psalm 23. YeHoVaH does not add sorrow to His blessings, but people will bring sorrow.

Isaac went into the land of Abimelech, king of the Philistines, during the time of the famine and contemplated going down to Egypt to escape the famine, but YeHoVaH appeared to him and told him not to go.

When Father tells us to do something or not to do something, that is a Commandment. When we obey the Commandment Father gives us, we can expect the outcome Father has associated with that Commandment. The mother’s request, seemingly in agreement with the desires of her sons, provoked Yeshua to speak about the requirements of such a request and led to the first discussion of what has evolved into what is now known and practiced as communion.

The first three times the Bible uses the word barren are in reference to the wives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel. To be barren means to not be able to reproduce. Sarah, Rebecca, and Rachel we’re all barren. The miraculous thing about all of these barren women was they were the ones chosen by YeHoVaH to produce the children of the covenant. What is impossible for man is not impossible for YeHoVaH.

Isaac was sixty years old when his twins, Esau and Jacob, were born. The birthright is the right of the firstborn. YeHoVaH would establish the Law pertaining to the birthright later, but here it is believed that the firstborn son would inherit the family property and responsibility of the head of the house when the father dies. After Abraham had secured a wife for Isaac from his kinfolk, Abraham got married again at the age of 140 and had six more sons by Keturah. Abraham lived 175 Years and he died. Although Ishmael had also been sent away, he stayed in touch with Isaac and assisted Isaac in burying Abraham in the cave where Sarah was buried.

The Genesis story now turns to the life of Isaac, the promised son of Abraham and Sarah who lived near the well where YeHoVaH spoke to Hagar when she had ran away pregnant with Ishmael.

Through answered prayer, Eliezer was invited to Abraham’s kindred’s home where he formally asked for Rebekah to wed Isaac. Laban was the spokesperson for the family and Rebekah’s brother. Eliezer testified about his commission and before he ate their food, he had a confirmation that his mission was successful. With her family’s permission, Rebekah agreed to go with Eliezer to marry Isaac. Rebekah and her nurse departed with Abraham's servant, and his men.

Sin is defined by the New Testament writing of 1st John 3:4 - "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the Law: for sin is the transgression of the Law." The Law of YeHoVaH covered every aspect of the Hebrew Israelite’s life from conception to the grave. YeHoVaH gave the Hebrew Israelites the greatest set of instructions and Laws that no other nation had.

These Laws were to govern Israel and teach them the ways of YeHoVaH as a free people. YeHoVaH gave His Laws to a free people to prevent them from ever going into bondage again. Debt was a form of bondage according to Proverbs 22:7 "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."

In this portion of Matthew, Yeshua gives clear, step by step instructions on how to deal with a brother who sins against us based on the Law of YeHoVaH. Yeshua then connects a parable and the Law of YeHoVaH to illustrate the importance of forgiving each other in relation to how we can expect to receive forgiveness from YeHoVaH.

Abraham’s eldest servant is believed to be Eliezer who ruled over all Abraham had, even though Abraham had two sons. Eliezer was Abraham’s chief servant. He was born in Abraham’s house, and he was like a son to Abraham. Eliezer was taught by Abraham to keep the way of YeHoVaH, and Eliezer had been circumcised by Abraham.

Abraham had faith that a wife for his son, Isaac, would come from amongst his kindred. Abraham had Eliezer swear an oath to YeHoVaH, the Elohim of heaven and earth, but released his servant from the oath if no one would come from there. Eliezer, being in charge of all Abraham’s goods, took what he needed and left for Mesopotamia and the city of Nahor.

Yeshua uses this opportunity to teach His disciples, and us, a lesson on humility and pride and shares a parable with them revealing YeHoVaH’s desires for believers and unbelievers alike.

Sarah died at 127 years old. This would have made Isaac around 36 years old when his mother died since she gave birth to him when she was 91. Abraham was not only a righteous man, but he was also a righteous businessman. Abraham did not want to use the cave, he wanted to own the cave and was willing to pay whatever price the cave was worth. He did not want to be in debt to anyone or owe any man anything. This reasoning caused him to refuse to take a gift from the Hittites.

Isaac said to Abraham that they had the fire and the wood, but where was the lamb for a burnt offering? A burnt offering is an offering made by fire and in this case is wholly consumed meaning it is completely burnt up in the fire.

YeHoVaH fulfills His promise by visiting Sarah and blessing her with a son in her old age and Abraham’s old age. Abraham names his son Isaac, (he laughs) the name YeHoVaH gave him in Genesis 17:19 just as He had given Hagar the name for Ishmael (God will hear) in Genesis 16:11. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac at eight days old, as Elohim had commanded him. Ishmael was circumcised at 13 and Abraham at 99. Abraham is honoring the Covenant between YeHoVaH and him. Abraham who had no sons and now has two sons is being asked to send one away by his wife, Sarah. Abraham was grieved and YeHoVaH intervened to give Abraham counsel on what to do.

The story of Jonah is well documented in Scripture in a Book bearing his name. Most who preach about Jonah focus on the three days and three nights that Jonah was in the belly of the fish as Yeshua illustrated in one of His references to Jonah. When Abimelech heard that Abraham had said that Sarah was his sister, Abimelech sent for Sarah and took her. What relation was Sarah to Abraham? The term “sister” in the Hebrew could refer to a relative. YeHoVaH threatens Abimelech’s life in a dream and afflicted him, his wife and his slave girls for unknowingly taking Abraham’s wife. Abimelech declared himself as a man of integrity and his nation as a righteous nation. YeHoVaH agrees with Abimelech as a man of integrity of heart and He kept Abimelech from sinning against Him with Sarah.

Lot was hesitant to leave, so the Angels took Lot, his wife and 2 daughters by the hand and led them out. Lot was spared because of his connection and relationship with Abraham. Lot was instructed to go into the mountains, but Lot negotiated with the Angels to stay in Zoar. However, fear caused Lot to move to the mountain instead of dwelling in Zoar. Lot’s wife was destroyed when she “looked back” in disobedience to the instructions given by the Angels. Lot’s daughters had the desire to preserve Lot’s seed. Because YeHoVaH gave the command to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, preserving seed is, and has always been, a concern of the people of YeHoVaH.

Knowledge of being able to distinguish between clean and unclean animals was revealed to mankind before the days of Noah. The Commandments of YeHoVaH given to Moses to give to the Hebrew Israelites, and those that join themselves to YeHoVaH’s people, expanded clean and unclean things beyond animals to people and to the land. Specific Instructions to follow were given to keep His people from becoming defiled and defiling others. The religious leaders expanded even further YeHoVaH’s Laws pertaining to clean and unclean. They created their own laws on the subjects that they taught which ultimately made the Torah/Law of no effect. By adding to the Torah/Law, the religious leaders were able to subjugate YeHoVaH’s people into bondage to their religious systems. In this teaching, Yeshua and His disciples have a confrontation with some Pharisees and teachers of the law who tried to subject Yeshua and His disciples to their religious laws. Righteousness, Wickedness and Judgement - Genesis 19: 1 - 29

According to 2 Peter, Lot was a righteous man living in the midst of wickedness. Lot had gone from living outside of Sodom to living in Sodom and serving in some counsel capacity by sitting at the gates of the city. When the two Angels arrived at the gate of Sodom, Lot urged them to come to his home instead of sleeping in the streets.

The men of Sodom did not know the men were angels for the Angels appeared to be mortal men. The Sodomites had evil sexual motives and pressed upon Lot with the intent to break down Lot’s door to get at the Angels. The Angels smote the men of Sodom with blindness.

As we read that Lot is gathering his family, Arthur addresses:

Yeshua’s desire had been to get to a solitary place to pray and be alone which He was finally able to accomplish. This is the 3rd time the Scriptures record YeHoVaH appearing to Abraham. YeHoVaH and the men with Him had their feet washed and were served bread, butter, milk and beef. Ironically, consuming meat and dairy products (including cheese) together is forbidden by Kosher dietary laws.

YeHoVaH said that He would certainly return unto them according to the time of life and Sarah would have a son. Sarah’s faith was not in the same place as Abraham’s faith. Sarah had a difficult time, if not impossible time, trusting that YeHoVaH could bring forth a child from her, being beyond childbearing age, and through Abraham who also was old.

YeHoVaH told Abraham to no longer call his wife Sarai, but Sarah. Sarai first heard her new name called by her husband Abraham, not by YeHoVaH. It is clear according to YeHoVaH’s intent, that in order for the Covenant YeHoVaH made with Abraham to come to pass, Sarah had to comply and come in agreement with it. Although Abraham felt it was impossible for him and Sarah to bear children together, he knew it was not impossible for the Most High Elohim to produce a child with them!

After the conversation with YeHoVaH, Abraham took Ishmael and all the men of his house and circumcised them as YeHoVaH had commanded. This Command of Circumcision brought all of the men in Abraham’s house into and under the Covenant YeHoVaH made with Abraham. Abraham was 99, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Our circumcision is based on the Covenant of Abraham; not a Mosaic Covenant or Covenant made with the Jews.

The religious leaders of Israel resisted and fought the ministry of Yeshua and His message of repentance. Assessing her inability to have children, Sarai came up with the idea of having her husband sleep with her servant, Hagar, in order to produce children. Scripture implies that the children Hagar produced would be Sarai’s children since Hagar was Sarai’s maidservant or slave. Abram went in unto Hagar, she conceived, and when Hagar saw that she had conceived, she despised Sarai.

Although Abram did not give Sarai permission to mistreat Hagar, he did give Sarai permission to do with Hagar as she pleased and that permission led to harsh treatment toward Hagar.

Abram was 86 when Ishmael, the son by Hagar, was born. The name Ishmael, was not chosen by Hagar, but by the angel of YeHoVaH and given to Hagar to name the child.

Abram and Sarai were married before they left Ur. Now that Abram has gone to Canaan, he faces a famine there. So, they decide to go to Egypt. Abram was concerned for his own life and had Sarai say that she was his sister for his protection. Here it is obvious that Abram is relying on his own wit for protection instead of YeHoVaH. Was Sarai Abram’s sister, half-sister or was she his niece?

Pharaoh showed Abram great favor in exchange for Sarai by bestowing great wealth unto Abram. In spite of Abram’s misrepresentation, YeHoVaH rescues Sarai from Pharaoh.

As we continue in Genesis and through the Scriptures, we will see that Egypt played a continual role in the lives of the Israelites even in the life of Yeshua.

ALL human beings trace our roots back to Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah and his wife. All Nations came from these 3 men. Genesis: An Everlasting Covenant - Genesis 9:1-19

YeHoVaH blessed Noah and his sons, and told them to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth. YeHoVaH also gave Noah and his sons permission to eat animal flesh. On the surface it appears man can eat all beasts, but YeHoVaH had already made the distinction with Noah and his sons between the clean and the unclean animals. Noah demonstrated this knowledge during his sacrifice to YeHoVaH by not offering any of the unclean animals as a sacrifice.

Father establishes an everlasting Covenant with Creation that all flesh will not be cut off anymore by waters of a flood and that never again shall a flood destroy the earth. The covenant promise by YeHoVaH did not require anything from man. The rainbow is a sign from YeHoVaH reminding Him and us of this everlasting Covenant made in the days of Noah.

It had rained for 40 days and 40 nights; the water prevailed on the earth 150 days. And God remembered Noah and every living thing that was with him in the Ark. Approximately 1 year and 10 days from the time that Noah and the other inhabitants went in the Ark, they came out of the Ark. Noah trusted YeHoVaH who told him to go into the Ark and Noah was not leaving the Ark until YeHoVaH said so. Noah’s sacrifice to YeHoVaH moved Him to make a vow that is still in effect to this day.

Some believe the sons of God were fallen angels, but Arthur doesn’t believe or teach that. The sons of God were the godly men born to Seth and his descendants. The daughters of men were the daughters of Cain. Remember, Cain went out from the presence of God, was evil, and was of the wicked one.

Cain was not included in the generations of Adam or recognized as a son of God/YeHoVaH.

Cain began to populate and built a city which he named after his firstborn Enoch. Cain’s descendant Lamech broke the protocol of the one man-one wife example practiced by 6 generations established by YeHoVaH. Lamech married two wives and was the first to engage in polygamy.

Several hundred years before the Savior was born, YeHoVaH spoke to His servant Isaiah, the prophet, to warn the people to repent and to foretell of the Redeemer who would come and save Israel from their sins, themselves, and their enemies. Isaiah prophesied that before the Savior came, there would be a voice of one crying in the wilderness saying, "Prepare the way for YeHoVaH".

Listen as Arthur tells us that John the Baptist was that voice warning the inhabitants of Israel (the priests, the teachers, the rabbis, and the people) that the time had come for them to repent and receive the Kingdom of Heaven that was at hand. The people were perplexed because they believed that they were already the people of God, the children of Abraham. Nevertheless, many came forth repenting of their sins.

YeHoVaH, through a dream, informed the wise men, who had come to worship the King, to return to their country another way. YeHoVaH revealed to Joseph in a dream about the plans of Herod to kill Yeshua. YeHoVaH then instructs Joseph to take his wife and son to Egypt and await further instructions.

Listen as Arthur explains that Egypt, the land of Mizraim, the son of Ham, the son of Noah, has played a key role in the lives of the Hebrew people throughout Scripture. Now, once again, Egypt becomes a sanctuary of safety used in YeHoVaH's Master Plan.
