Bringing Vision to Life

Jefry is a young boy standing next to an airstrip in a village high in the West Papuan mountains. West Papua is occupied by the Indonesians and life is tough. When this young boy turns 15 - mum and dad want a better life for him and his little brother - that is their vision. After a year working through the wilds of West Papua, building a dug canoe and eventually getting on a boat, Jefry Yikwa arrived in Australia. 15 years later Jefry now has a critical role working as an engineer working for Boeing.
Amazing how powerful a vision can be to transform lives and communities. He shares his story with Wayne Dyson who works with business helping them unpack how a vision can drive business forward.

Jefry Yikwa is a refugee from West Papua. His incredible journey as a teenager with his younger brother through jungles mountains and eventually on a broken-down boat dump them on the shores of the lucky country - Australia. Wayne Dyson throughout his professional life has used experiential learning (learning by doing) to embed in people how they can be better leaders, including how to build professional teams from teams of professionals. Their paths crossed and one world was created.
