Recently-declassified papers have revealed an extraordinary plan to provoke the Nazis into declaring war on America.

It is September 1939, and Adolf Hitler has just invaded Poland. A group of American generals gather in the Pentagon to discuss the perilous situation faced by the United States. With the world teetering on the brink of war, the US risks being plunged into peace. A way must be found to harass the Germans into declaring war on America, and General Studbucker has just the man for the job – Sergeant Grit Grinder.

“Sgt Grit Grinder’s Suicide Squad” was a legendary 1980s comic strip from Macquarie University’s student newspaper Arena. It was conceived and written by Ken Enderby and Greg Rickards; illustrated by Greg Rickards.
