He is diagnosed with AIDS and is very cautious about preventing his blood from coming into contact with anyone else’s. Having grown up as a devoted catholic, Spencer now finds himself hating the idea of god and religion as it ruined his relationship with his loved ones.

Ed is the Director of "The Princess" which can currently be seen on HBO MAX.

The HBO Original documentary film The Princess is an intimate an immersive look at the life of Princess Diana, directed by Academy Award nominee Ed Perkins (Black Sheep, Tell Me Who I Am) and produced by Lightbox, Academy Award-winner Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and Emmy-winner Jonathan Chinn (LA92, HBO’s Tina).

The relationship of Diana and Charles, the Prince and Princess of Wales, was tabloid fodder for nearly two decades, the subject of almost daily headlines in the 24-hour news cycle. The Princess draws solely from contemporaneous archival audio and video footage to take audiences back to key events in Diana’s life as they happened, including their seemingly fairy-tale public courtship and wedding, the birth of their two sons, their bitter divorce, and Diana’s tragic and untimely death on August 31, 1997.

Intensely emotional, The Princess is a visceral submersion into Diana’s life in the constant and often intrusive glare of the media spotlight. The film unfolds as if it were in the present, allowing viewers to experience the overwhelming adoration, but also intense scrutiny of Diana’s every move and the constant judgement of her character. Through archival material, the film is also a reflection of society at the time, revealing the public’s own preoccupations, fears, aspirations, and desires. The film debut coincides with the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s tragic death.

HBO Documentary Films presents The Princess, in association with SKY, produced by Lightbox. Dara Taylor is a Sundance Institute alumna and HMMA-Winning composer for film and television based in Los Angeles. She has composed music for a wide variety of Independent thrillers, dramas, comedies such as the Karen Allen starred Colewell and Turner Risk, and has contributed additional music and score production for large studio productions like A Bad Mom's Christmas, Shaft, Amazon's The Boys, Netflix's Lost in Space, and more.

In 2015, she was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award for her score on the film Undetectable. In 2016, she was one of the composers asked to take part in Women in Film's Women Composers in Media concert. In 2018, Dara was chosen as a fellow for the Sundance Institute Composers Lab. In 2019, Dara was chosen as one the BMI Conducting for Composers Fellows and won a Hollywood Music in Media Award for her score for Colewell.

Dara, born in Poughkeepsie, NY and raised in Lockport, NY, spent most of her formative years in gospel church choirs as well as school choruses, bands, and musicals. Primarily a vocalist, she studied classical voice as a Mezzo-Soprano under Judith Kellock at Cornell University. Throughout college Dara became increasingly drawn towards composition and studied independently with Zachary Wadsworth and Pulitzer Prize winner Steven Stucky. After graduating cum laude in Music and Psychology from Cornell in 2009, Dara went on to study Film Music Composition under Mark Suozzo at New York University where she received a Masters of Music in 2011.

Dara is a member of the Television Academy, Society of Composers and Lyricists, Composers Diversity Collective, Alliance of Women Film Composers, Women in Media, and BMI.

John Matysiak Born of third generation Polish immigrants and raised in Houston, Texas. John Matysiak graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA with a B.A. in film production.

In addition to his study at Emerson, he was selected to study at the Czech National Film School, FAMU, in Prague.

His work has been shown in over 50 film festivals around the world including; Festvial de Cannes and the Berlin International Film Festival. John was recognized for his achievements in cinematography at the 25th Los Angeles Asian-Pacific Film Festival where he was awarded "Best Cinematography" for his work on the feature films, TWO SHADOWS and MODEL MINORITY

Giles lensed David Mackenzie’s Hell or High Water, which premiered in Un Certain Regard at 2016’s Cannes Film Festival to critical acclaim. Starring Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine and Ben Foster, Nuttgens earned a 2017 BAFTA Film Award nomination for Best Cinematography for his work. In 2016 Nuttgens also worked on The Fundamentals of Caring, which first screened at Sundance.

With his latest release, Montana Story, earning the 2021 Platform Prize at Toronto International Film Festival, Giles Nuttgens, BSC is an award-winning cinematographer with 25 years of experience.

Shot on 35mm, the film marks Nuttgens’ reunion with directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel, with whom he shot, among others, his first U.S. feature The Deep End (2000), earned the Best Photography award at Sundance Film Festival. Another long standing collaboration links Nuttgens with prolific British director, Michael Winterbottom, for whom he photographed Greed with Steve Coogan and The Wedding Guest starring Dev Patel. Nuttgens and Winterbottom are preparing another film, set in 1930’s Palestine under British colonial rule. Nuttgens shares other titles with director David Mackenzie, from Young Adam, starring Ewan McGregor and Tilda Swinton, to the critically acclaimed Hell or High Water – BAFTA nominated for Best Cinematography and Oscar nominated for Best Picture.

Since completing Montana Story, Nuttgens photographed Enola Holmes 2, a new film following upon the blockbuster success of the first Legendary Pictures movie, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter, about Sherlock Holmes' inquiring little sister. Nuttgens' career has seen him filming all over the world, from his start in the industry shooting documentaries in 16mm for the BBC to the transition to feature films, working for Lucasfilm as 2nd Unit DP on Episodes 1,2 and 3 of Star Wars.

He has shot multiple projects set in India, including Deepa Mehta's Oscar nominated Water, which also won Nuttgens a Canadian Genie Academy Award for Best Cinematography. In 2018, he spent six months in Anatolia and Detroit, filming the dystopian feature Grain for acclaimed Turkish director Semih Kaplanoğlu, one of the last films to be shot on 35mm Black and White Kodak stock.

His upcoming project, 'The Friend' is once again with David Siegel and Scott McGehee, set in New York and scheduled to start shooting early summer.

One of the first African-American women to make the cover of Glamour magazine and one of television history’s most beloved sitcom moms, Reid now balances her acting gigs with her work as a photographic artist, clothing designer, and education activist, demonstrating that it’s never too late to pursue new passions and find new opportunities.

When she attended Northwestern University a half-century ago, Daphne Maxwell became the prestigious school’s first African-American homecoming queen; but that was just the first of many barriers that Maxwell broke in her career, arriving into the industry at just the right moment as a new perspective on race was emerging in the wake of the

BAFTA nominated composer Anthony Willis has taken a running leap into the Neverland of film scoring. A protege of Oscar nominated composer John Powell, Willis has become a sought after talent, contributing additional music to many of Hollywood’s major franchises including: How to Train your Dragon, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jason Bourne, Wreck it Ralph, Rio, The Smurfs & Despicable Me.

Working alongside Henry Jackman, Anthony composed additional music for Nate Parker’s 2016 Sundance winner, The Birth of a Nation, and contributed additional arrangements to Harry Gregson-Williams’ acclaimed score for The Martian. His additional music credits also include How To Train Your Dragon 3 and Pan & Ferdinand (for John Powell), Wreck it Ralph 2: Ralph breaks the Internet (for Henry Jackman), The Elephant Queen (for Alex Heffes), Paramount’s sci-fi adventure film Monster Trucks (for David Sardy), and Papa: Hemingway in Cuba (for Mark Isham). Up and coming projects include Jumanji: The Next Level (for Henry Jackman) and My Spy (for Dominic Lewis).

Willis grew up in London, and began his musical training as a chorister of St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, England. He went on to study Composition at Marlborough College, Wilshire and the University of Bristol, before earning his graduate degree from the University of Southern California. He currently resides in Venice Beach

Matthew Margeson is a composer of film, television, and video game music best known for his diverse action and adventure film work that bridges orchestral and electronic music. He got his start as an assistant to composers on video games and film shorts, and worked as a technical score advisor, arranger, and synth programmer, among other roles, for Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions. His first main composer credits in film arrived in 2010 with Lunatics, Lovers & Poets and Burning Palms. A year later, Margeson scored the animated TV series Transformers Prime and the video game Carnival Island. In the meantime, his additional music for other composers could be heard in blockbusters such as X-Men: First Class and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. In 2013, Margeson co-wrote the score for the franchise sequel Kick-Ass 2 with Henry Jackman. It incorporated rock elements into a symphonic base. That led to more action films, such as 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service, also with Jackman. His work in other genres around that time included the 2016 biopic Eddie the Eagle and Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (with Michael Higham). He and Jackman teamed up again for 2017's Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and Margeson received sole credit for his music to the 2018 horror film Truth or Dare.

The King’s Man score is co-composed by Matthew Margerson and Dominic Lewis and can be heard in theaters now!

Dominic Lewis is a British-born film composer living in Los Angeles. Born into a family of talented, working musicians, Dominic was exposed to music from his very first days- and as such music became an inherent and intrinsic part of his life from early childhood until today.

He gained entrance to the Royal Academy of Music in London where he received classical training in cello and music composition, overseen by revered teachers such as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, as well as world-renowned film composers such as Craig Armstrong and David Arnold.

At the fledgling age of 22, Lewis was given the opportunity to co-compose the score of his first feature film, ‘The Poet’, directed by ‘Ski-School’s’ Damien Lee.

Throughout his time at the Royal Academy, Lewis was mentored by Rupert Gregson-Williams, who was instantly impressed by his potential and engaged Dominic to contribute both vocal performances and additional arrangements to scores such as ‘Bee Movie’, ‘Bedtime Stories’ and ‘The Prisoner’.

His credits to date include the films ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, ‘Clash of the Titans’, ‘Puss in Boots’, ‘Wreck it Ralph’, the remake of ‘Red Dawn’, ‘Rango’, ‘Rio’, ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’, ‘X-Men 1st Class’ the most recent ‘Medal of Honor’ video game, ‘Sherlock Holmes :A Game of Shadows’ Sony’s 3D annual presentation, and an ‘Everlast’ sporting equipment commercial. He is recently worked with Henry Jackman on ‘Captain Phillips’ and ‘The End of the World’.

Lucie Guest is a Canadian born actress, director, and writer who was named one of the Top Ten Filmmakers to Watch in 2017 by Independent Magazine. This Fall she can be seen in the anticipated Netflix film HYPNOTIC with Kate Siegel, Jason O’mara and Dule Hill.
Lucie has had an affinity for the arts for as long as she can remember. Early in her career she studied improv and trained with the acclaimed Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Groundlings in LA and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program. Lucie has had roles in countless projects for film and television, including The CW’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, and “Supernatural”, NBC’s “Timeless”, ABC’s “Dead of Summer” and “Beyond” as well as BBC America’s “Orphan Black.” Most recently she appeared in the films “THE MAIN EVENT” for WWE and “BUDDY GAMES” Josh Duhamel’s directorial debut. Her latest film “THE ADAM PROJECT’ alongside Catherine Keener, Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, just wrapped filming.

Her most recent writing and directing credits include the adventure romance JOURNEY OF MY HEART which premiered on Hallmark’s Summer Nights, feature-length romance which she co-wrote called LOVE AT FIRST FLIGHT and a rom-com entitled MADE FOR YOU, WITH LOVE. As well as A VINEYARD ROMANCE for UPtv and LOVE ON HARBOR ISLAND for The Hallmark Channel. Past credits include writing and directing the short film NEVER BETTER – A CLOSURE COMEDY as well as an off-beat comedic short film entitled BE RIGHT BACK. Lucie also created and directed CHARLIE AND YONI #LIFE AFTER 30 which was optioned by CBC’s Comedy Coup. Diane Franklin is an iconic 80s American film actress, known for her dark curly hair, and dialects. Beginning her acting career at the age of ten, Diane started with modeling, theater, commercials, and soap opera work. Tim Rose is an actor and puppeteer, best known for playing the role of Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and upcoming in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Rose puppeteered the characters of Sy Snootles and Salacious Crumb in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and has been involved with other Lucasfilm and Jim Henson Studios movies, including The Dark Crystal, Howard the Duck, Labyrinth, and The Great Muppet Caper. Tim recently performed as Nekross King in Wizards vs. Aliens, and did animatronic work for Doctor Who, and Muppets Most Wanted. Tim worked as a designer on the original The Muppet Show, and helped in puppeteering the character of Tik-Tok in Disney's Return to Oz.

At the age of five, Dimiter believed that the classical violin would be his future. Since the age of 11, he became first violin in a youth symphony orchestra and traveled all over Europe, the US and Central America. In 1979, Mr. Marinov performed at the United Nations Circle Hall in New York conducted by maestro Lenard Bernstein. Following the completion of an Associate Degree, he discovered his passion for acting. At the age of 18, Dimiter was drafted into the Bulgarian Army which was mandatory during the Communist era. He was assigned to an Artillery Intelligence Unit. Within a year of his service, Dimiter was detained by the Peoples' Military Tribunal. He was accused of conspiring against the Peoples' Republic and trying to escape to the West. The verdict was three years political imprisonment. Regardless of the difficulties that followed after his prison term, Dimiter graduated with a Master's Degree from the Bulgarian National Academy for Theatre and Film in Sofia. In 1990, Dimiter traveled throughout Europe, Canada and the United States as an actor-singer in a Bulgarian folk-jazz stage anthology entitled - Mystery Voices. Following the last performance in the United States, Dimiter defected as a political refugee in Knoxville, Tennessee. This new-found emigrant's life would challenge Dimiter for a number of years. Without money, friends and relatives, he struggled to support himself while learning the language he never knew and trying to fit in. He took on various jobs including dishwasher, air-brush artist and a handyman. In 1993, Dimiter drove across country in his Volkswagen Bug to San Diego, California. The diverse environment helped Dimiter to find new venues to grow and establish himself as a "new American". Playing his violin and singing in a vast number of restaurants while working as a coffee barista, he managed in 1996 to become an owner of a coffee shop, a restaurant and expend it into a catering business. Dimiter began his US acting career on the stage at the San Diego Repertory Theatre in 1999. In addition, he venture into another passion of his: educating children and teens. Dimiter created, developed and taught numerous children educational programs for the YMCA and the San Diego Zoo. In 2009, Dimiter decided to expand his acting career in commercials, television and film. In the Bandito Brothers production Act of Valor (2012), which was his very first US film audition (2009), Dimiter made his big screen debut as the diabolical Kerimov: the Russian scientist and smuggler. Dimiter's "big break" was in "Green Book" (2018), a Universal Pictures/DreamWorks/Participant production directed by Peter Farrelly. Ranked fifth in the principle cast, Dimiter co-stars with Viggo Mortensen and Mahershela Ali. The film has won "People's Choice Award" at TIFF 2018 in Canada, 3 "Golden Globe" awards and 3 Academy Awards including the "Oscar" for Best Picture in 2019.

Peter Rock was born and raised in Salt Lake City. His most recent novel, The Night Swimmers, was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner award; it involves open water swimming, fatherhood, psychic photography and the use of isolation tanks as a means to inhabit the past. He is also the author of the novels SPELLS, Klickitat, The Shelter Cycle, My Abandonment, The Bewildered, The Ambidextrist, Carnival Wolves and This Is the Place, as well as a story collection, The Unsettling. Rock attended Deep Springs College, received a BA in English from Yale University, and held a Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University. He has taught fiction at the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, Deep Springs College, and in the MFA program at San Francisco State University. His stories and freelance writing have both appeared and been anthologized widely, and his books published in various countries and languages. The recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, an Alex Award and others, he currently lives in Portland, Oregon, where he is a Professor in the English Department of Reed College. Leave No Trace, the film adaptation of My Abandonment, directed by Debra Granik, premiered at Sundance and Cannes and was released to critical acclaim in 2018.

Jason McMaster is a heavy metal vocalist from Austin, Texas. He gained fame singing for influential progressive metal band Watchtower from 1982-1987.

In late 1987, he joined the southern sleaze rock act Dangerous Toys, who achieved moderate success. Dangerous Toys, their self-titled debut in 1989, spawned the hits Scared and Teas'N Pleas'N , helping the record go gold and receiving airplay on rock radio and MTV. They would go on to release three more studio albums (giving them an additional gold record) and one live album. Although no longer writing new material, Dangerous Toys regroups for live performances several times a year.

In 1999, McMaster and Dangerous Toys guitarist Paul Lidel formed Broken Teeth, an Austin-based hard rock band (Lidel parted ways in 2006). Broken Teeth tours consistently and has released five albums, the most recent being the critically well-received Viva La Rock, Fantastico! in January 2010.

In 2011, Jason joined the thrash metal act Evil United, which also features members of Pitbull Daycare, SA Slayer, Riot, and Murderdolls.

Lynne Ashe is a Georgia-born character actress known for playing quirky characters with big personalities. Classically trained in Shakespearean and British Restoration theatre, Lynne was primarily a stage actress until 2011, when she was approached by a stage director she’d formerly worked with asking her to audition for a film he’d written. She landed a supporting role in “Crackerjack” and thus began her screen career.

Lynne was one of the first two graduates of the nationally acclaimed theatre program known as the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a joint program between UNG and Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Her graduate studies (in Theatre) were at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, where she studied under the tutelage of James Dodding and thereby fell in love with Shakespeare and Restoration Theatre. Through Wake Forest, she obtained a grant to study for a summer in Stratford-upon-Avon with the Shakespeare Institute and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Lynne is also a writer (poet, playwright and screenwriter) and jewelry artisan, selling her hand-make jewelry under the name “Ashelyn Designs” on Etsy.

Lynne finds it ironic that the southern dialect she strove so hard to overcome/neutralize during her high school and college theatre training was the very thing that helped land her first few screen roles. She had to re-train an accent she’d formerly tried to restrain.

Lynne is an advocate for raising awareness about an adipose-tissue and lymphatic disorder known as Lipedema, which primarily affects women, a condition which causes the body to create a type of fat on the lower half of the body which cannot be metabolized.

Lachlan’s work has premiered at Toronto, Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, SxSW, Sydney and Melbourne Film Festivals. He was the cinematographer for New Zealand auteur Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople which premiered at Sundance in 2016 and remains the highest grossing New Zealand film of all time. In 2018 he shot 4 episodes of the Netflix giant Stranger Things, which went on to become the most streamed TV show in Netflix history. Shortly after that Lachlan worked again with Academy Award nominated production company 21 Laps on Monster Problems for Paramount Studios. In 2019 he filmed Minari for Un Certain Regard nominated director Lee Isaac Chung alongside A24 and Plan B. Later the same year he again teamed up with Taika for Next Goal Wins, a film about the American Samoa soccer team starring Michael Fassbender and Elizabeth Moss. Minari won both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, a Golden Globe, BAFTA and was nominated for 6 Academy Awards. Lachlan recently completed his work as show running cinematographer for Season 4 of Stranger Things and is re teaming with A24 for another project in the summer of 2021.

Somewhat of a late bloomer, Duvall got his first acting job in 1991 on an episode of the Andy Griffith legal drama "Matlock," in a small role as a desk clerk. Throughout the 1990s, Duvall kept busy with bit parts in several films and TV shows, including "Apollo 13," "ER," and "Chicago Hope." In 2000 he was cast in arguably his most prominent film role when he appeared as Homer Stokes, a blowhard gubernatorial candidate in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?," Joel and Ethan Coen's loose interpretation of Homer's "Odyssey." That same year he joined the cast of the lighthearted legal drama "The District" as Sgt. Phil Brander, a Washington, D.C., police officer, and appeared throughout the show's four-year run. After its cancellation in 2004, Duvall bounced around as a guest star on such shows as "CSI: NY" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" before being cast in Paul Haggis's Iraq War film, "In the Valley of Elah," in 2007 as a police detective. Christine Leunens was born in Hartford, Connecticut to an Italian mother and a Belgian father. As a teenager she moved to Paris, where she had a close relationship with her grand-father, Guillaume Leunens, the Flemish painter and sculptor. She funded her study and early writing by modelling in Europe, becoming the face of Givenchy, Paco Rabanne, Nina Ricci, Pierre Balmain and Sonia Rykiel, acting in TV ads such as Mercedes Benz, Suzuki and House of Fraser. She went on to earn a Master of Liberal Arts in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University in 2005, and a PhD at Victoria University of Wellington in 2012.

Since its first publication in 2004, Caging Skies has become an international bestseller, translated into over twenty languages. In 2007 the French translation was nominated for the Prix Médicis Étranger and the Prix du Roman FNAC.

Over time, Caging Skies was adapted to stage and film. The play adaptation, written by Desirée Gezentzvey and directed by Andrew Foster, had its world premiere at the Circa Theatre, Wellington in 2017. Taika Waititi’s film adaptation, Jojo Rabbit, won the People's Choice Award at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, was nominated in 2020 for two Golden Globes, six Baftas, and six Oscars, including Best Picture. It won the WGA Award, the BAFTA Award as well as the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. It also won the Humanitas Prize for writing intended to promote human dignity, meaning and freedom. Both the film and the book were nominated for the USC Scripter Award 2020 and won AFI Awards for their contribution to America's Cultural Legacy.

Christine currently lives with her family in New Zealand. Her new novel , In Amber's Wake, is to be published in early 2022 and her film adaptation of the same title has been taken for production.

Two-time Grammy nominee and Emmy-winning composer Jeff Russo is at the top of his field, scoring varied and compelling music for television, film and video games. Russo won the Emmy and received two additional Emmy nominations for his thrilling and angst-producing score on FX’s Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series “Fargo.” He currently scores two Peabody Award-nominated shows: CBS’s reimagining of the iconic cult-classic series “Star Trek: Discovery;” and FX’s “Legion,” starring Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza; as well as Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy,” starring Ellen Page, Tom Hopper and Mary J. Russo began his music career in 1990, after founding his rock band TONIC. The group quickly achieved great success and in 2003, received two Grammy nominations, one for "Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" for "Take Me As I Am," and one for "Best Rock Album.” The band was a great showcase for Russo’s guitar work and songwriting that allowed him to branch out and begin his solo career in producing and composing.

According to Variety Magazine, “Jeff Russo understands how music can affect an audience. When music is employed, he sees it as an enhancement to character development, and is careful to create music that subtly flows with the action and visuals of the scene.”

Actor Han Soto is a native of New Orleans whose work spans across the lines of genre. Beyond acting in blockbuster films (e.g. Ender’s Game, Logan) and hit television shows (e.g. MacGyver, The Purge), Soto brings his blend of business sense, he produces films via Kamikaze Dogfight which distributes cutting-edge horror and thriller feature films. Stuart Dryburgh is a British born, New York based cinematographer.

His credits include ‘The Great Wall’, ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’, ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’, ‘The Piano’ (AAN 1994), ‘An Angel at my Table’ and the amazing "Gifted" starring Chris Evans.

Stuart Dryburgh was born in the UK in 1952, and migrated with his family to New Zealand in 1961, where he spent most of his childhood and young adult life. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Auckland University in 1977.

Stuart started out working on early NZ films such as ‘Middle Age Spread’ and ‘Good-Bye Pork Pie’ and ‘Smash Palace’.

He was employed as a gaffer from 1979 – 1985, working on many NZ and international feature films and commercials. From 1985 on he has worked only as a cinematographer, at first shooting short films, music videos, and tv commercials.

In 1989 he shot the 3 part TV mini series ‘An Angel at my Table’ for director Jane Campion. This led to another Dryburgh/ Campion collaboration, ‘The Piano’. For this film he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography in 1994.

His next project, ultimately his last in New Zealand for many years, was ‘Once Were Warriors’ with New Zealand director Lee Tamahori.

In 1994 Dryburgh shot his first US feature film, the ‘Peres Family’, for director Mira Nair,and moved permanently to the US in 1996.

Stephen Tobolowsky is one of the leading character actors today. He has appeared in over 200 movies and television shows.

He has played everything from Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day to Sandy Ryerson in Glee and has worn the same suit for seven years as Principal Earl Ball on The Goldbergs. Stephen most currently appeared as Dr. Leslie Berkowitz in the new generation remake of Norman Lear's One Day at a Time.

In addition he has also appeared in Spaceballs, Mississippi Burning, Momento, Thelma and Louise and the list goes on and on.

Stephen has always been a storyteller. In sixth grade he won his school’s storytelling contest and over that summer won the award as best storyteller in the City of Dallas (13 years old and under division.)

Chuk Iwuji was born in Nigeria in 1975. When he was ten his parents began working for the United Nations Organization and moved to Ethiopia, sending their son to a boarding school in England. He got in to Yale University to major in Economics but was interested in acting and joined the university's drama society. Whilst he was appearing in their production of 'Murder in the Cathedral' he was offered an acting scholarship. He went to a drama school in Wisconsin then moved back to the United Kingdom, successfully auditioning for the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he has joined the ever-growing number of black actors, including David Oyelowo and Adrian Lester, who have played leading roles with no reference to their colour, replacing David Oyelowo in the role of Henry VI as well as playing Buckingham to Kevin Spacey's Richard III at the Old Vic.

Paul Raci is an American actor best known for his role as Joe in the Sound of Metal (2020) directed by Darius Marder, starring opposite Riz Ahmed and Olivia Cooke. Paul can also be seen in many TV shows including Baskets opposite Zach Galifinakis, Goliath opposite Billy Bob Thornton and Parks and Recreations opposite Amy Poehler.Paul was born and raised in Chicago by Deaf parents and is fluent in American Sign Language. While in Chicago, he honed his acting chops at the local theaters and was a founding member of The Immediate Theater Company, where he was nominated for a Jefferson Award for their production of Children of a Lesser God. He also trained at Second City and has worked with several improvisation companies.In Los Angeles, he has performed in over 12 productions with the locally acclaimed, Deaf West Theater including Of Mice and Men, Medea, Equus, A Christmas Carol, and most recently the acclaimed, award winning production of David Mamet's American Buffalo in ASL.A Vietnam veteran, Paul is also a musician and singer with the band Hands of Doom an ASL rock, Black Sabbath Tribute band where Paul dazzles his audience with his outstanding, raw vocals and outrageously artful ASL. Paul has been married for years to Liz Hanley Raci. They have one daughter, Britta, who is also a singer, songwriter with the Indie Band It's Butter.

Kenny Anderson was selected by the New Jersey Nets with the second pick in the 1991 NBA Draft. He was the youngest player in the league at that time. He averaged seven points, two rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. In Anderson’s second season he nearly doubled his point, rebound, and assist averages. In his third season, he averaged 18.8 ppg and 9.6 apg. Anderson and teammate Derrick Coleman represented the East squad in the 1994 NBA All-Star Game. He was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in 1996.

Anderson has played for the Nets, Hornets (including both Charlotte and New Orleans franchises), Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics and the Indiana Pacers, and split a season for the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers.

In 1998, Portland traded Anderson to the Toronto Raptors for Damon Stoudamire, but he refused to report to the team because he did not want to play in Canada. The Raptors traded him to the Celtics for Chauncey Billups.

ALAR KIVILO lensed the box office hit “The Blind Side,” which was nominated for an Oscar® for Best Picture and won the Best Actress award for Sandra Bullock.

A native of Montreal, Kivilo began his cinematography career shooting documentaries and short films, including “Boys and Girls,” which won an Academy Award® for Best Live Action Short in 1984. Kivilo next began shooting music videos, which eventually led to commercials and the formation of his own company, Propeller. For the next ten years, he directed and shot many Bessie, Clio and Cannes Award-winning commercials. In recent years he has been directing and shooting the award winning Newfoundland and Labrador tourism commercials. “Ancient Land” won a Gold Lion at Cannes for cinematography.

In 1987, Kivilo lensed his first feature, “Da,” followed by Sam Raimi’s “A Simple Plan.” He has since served as the director of photography on such films as “Frequency,” “The Glass House,” “Hart’s War,” “Aurora Borealis,” “The Ice Harvest,” “The Lake House,” “The Lookout,” “Year One,” “The Blindside,” “Bad Teacher,” “The Lucky One,” “Fallen,” and “The Choice.”

For his work on the small screen, he received an American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in Motion Picture/Mini-Series Television for the acclaimed HBO movie “Taking Chance,” starring Kevin Bacon. Kivilo previously earned Emmy and ASC Award nominations for the HBO biopic “Gotti,” and an ASC Award nomination for the miniseries “The Invaders.” His other television credits include the HBO movies “Normal,” “Weapons of Mass Distraction” and “Rebound.”

Kivilo is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the American Society of Cinematographers, the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and the Estonian Society of Cinematographers.

Jim Morris always dreamed of being a major league baseball player. When he got drafted in the first round in 1984, that dream felt close to becoming a reality. Unfortunately, a series of injuries forced him into early retirement. Instead, Morris got married, started a family, and got his college degree. Shortly after, he became a high school science teacher and baseball coach in West Texas.

One day, while giving a speech to his high school team about pursuing their dreams, a player challenged Jim to go after his own. So they made a bet, if the team won the District Championship, he would try out for the majors.

The team did their job. Now it was time for him to do his.

The 35-year-old Morris wasn’t very sure of himself at the try-out. When he saw the scout shaking the radar gun, he was worried his fastball didn’t even register. But soon he learned the truth. He was bringing it. Hard. 98 miles-per-hour to be exact.

Three months later, Jim Morris was toeing the rubber for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, finally living his major league dream.

Disney quickly turned Jim’s incredible story into a feature film, The Rookie, starring Dennis Quaid. And the rest is history.

Today, Jim Morris is a renowned motivational speaker, sharing his journey with audiences across the globe.

Marcus LaVoi is best known for his roles on shows like Gone, Touch (TV Series) and as well as in Den of Thieves and Maternal Instinct TV Movie as Police Officer. He has also portrayed the role of “Commander Porter” in the Power Rangers Time Force. In his early years, he has worked as security guard on film sets.

He started his career as a security guard. He made his movie debut with movie “The Expendables” (TV Movie) in 2000. In 2002, he appeared in movie “Outta Time” as Riker. He also portrayed “Luka” on the series “The Young and the Restless” (TV Series) in 2005.

LaVoi's 14 years with the San Diego Sheriff's Department and his experience as a maximum-security prison officer for the California Department of Corrections made his role as a bodyguard in Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh's Behind the Candelabra a natural fit. With an expert-level command of a wide range of firearms, including handguns, assault and sniper rifles, and a certified side-handle Baton, LaVoi has worked with Hollywood's top stunt coordinators. He has also put to work his experience as a weaponless self-defense instructor by helping choreograph hand-to-hand combat and tactical fight scenes.

Fortunately for the acting profession, he decided to concentrate his energies on writing music. Since scoring his first TV drama, Eureka Street, in 2002, he has won 2 BAFTAs & 5 Ivor Novello Awards, and gone on to write music for many of the most interesting series of recent years, including the BBC and Weinstein Company’s War and Peace, Hugo Blick’s Black Earth Rising, Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror. Martin is currently scoring season 4 of the Leftbank Pictures/Netflix series, The Crown.

Edu has shot movies and commercials around the world with very unique directors, developing a beautiful eye, an honest smile and a very personal style.

Born in Barcelona in 1981, Edu Grau studied filmmaking in ESCAC (Spain) and the NFTS (UK) specializing early as a Director of Photography.

At 23, when he was not ready for that, and after the Sundance winning short "LA RUTA NATURAL", Edu shot his first feature, Albert Serra's "HONOR DE CAVALLERIA", which premiered at Cannes'06 and 40 other festivals. Then he paired up with Tom Ford for his debut feature in Hollywood, "A SINGLE MAN", that was acclaimed as one of the most cinematically beautiful films of 2009 and got Colin Firth a Bafta and an Oscar Nom. Vice magazine included it in the ¨30 most beautiful movies of all time¨.

In 2009, Edu filmed "BURIED" with Rodrigo Cortés, and starring Ryan Reynolds. The film won Edu the Bronze Frog for Best Cinematography at Camerimage'10 and a Goya nomination. "FINISTERRAE" won the main award in Rotterdam'11, while his return to the Uk was with Nick Murphy's "THE AWAKENING", with Rebecca Hall and Dominic West. Shortly after came a special movie by his talented old friend Marçal Forés,"ANIMALS", pretty much in the vein of the shorts that they used to do together.

Edu was then given the opportunity to work with Lady Gaga at the peak of her career, "BORN THIS WAY" was the result. In 2012, Edu premiered in Toronto Dante Ariola's "ARTHUR NEWMAN" with Emily Blunt and Colin Firth. "A SINGLE SHOT" with Sam Rockwell and Bill H Macy was just before "SUITE FRANÇAISE" by Saul Dibb, with Michelle WiIliams, Kristin Scott Thomas, Mathias Schoenaerts and Sam Riley.

"SUFFRAGETTE", directed by Sarah Gavron and with Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep was Edu's next step modernizing a period film. "THE GIFT" by Joel Edgerton and starring Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall was one of the surprise film of 2015. "TRESPASS AGAINST US" by Adam Smith featuring Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson was a gypsie chase movie. His new 25M budget movie, "GRINGO" by Nash Edgerton with Charlize Theron, David Oyelowo and Joel Edgerton is a dark action comedy.

In 2017, he shot "QUIÉN TE CANTARÁ" directed by the cult auteur Carlos Vermut. He was nominated for a Goya, a Gaudí and a CEC for Best Cinematography. Later on, Edu reteamed with the one and only Joel Edgerton to do "BOY ERASED" with Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Xavier Dolan and Flea. The movie got two Golden Globes nominations.

Edu recently shot Gavin O'Connor's latest movie at Warner Bros "THE WAY BACK" starring Ben Affleck. The movie will be released March 6th 2020. After an amazing run with some top commercial directors, Edu has just wrapped Rebecca Hall's debut feature "PASSING", with Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negra, Andre Holland, Alex Skarsgard and Bill Camp. It is Edu's first film in glorious B&W and 4:3. The movie will be released in the festival and awards season of 2020.

Adam Kownacki is a Polish professional boxer.

As of February 2020, Kownacki is ranked as a top ten heavyweight boxer by The Ring magazine.

He is currently 20-0.

Kownacki draws a big, largely-Polish contingent to Barclays Center in his hometown of Brooklyn. In September 2018, he won a unanimous decision over former world champion Charles Martin (25-2-1, 23 KOs) in an all-out brawl that left his boisterous Polish fans giddy.

On January 26, 2019, Kownacki took another major step toward a world title shot with a second-round TKO of former world title challenger Gerald Washington (19-2-1, 12 KOs).

“It’s time to continue my goal of getting a title shot,” said Kownacki. “I'm a man on a mission to become the first Polish, Polish-American heavyweight champion of the world. No one will stop me.”

Kownacki returned to the ring on August 3 versus former world title challenger Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola at Barclays. The two warriors produced a classic heavyweight brawl, landing a combined 667 punches and throwing 2,172, both CompuBox heavyweight records. In the end, Kownacki's skill and firepower were too much as he won a 12-round unanimous decision by scores of 118-110, 117-111, 117-111.

Dustin O’Halloran is a composer based in Los Angeles.

He founded indie rock band Devics with singer Sara Lov, who he met while studying art at Santa Monica College.

In 2004, he released his first record as a solo artist, Piano Solos. He has since released three more solo records, the latest of which is Lumiere (2011), which featured contributions by Peter Broderick and Adam Wiltzie (Stars of the Lid), and was mixed by the late Jóhann Jóhannsson. With A Winged Victory for the Sullen, his project with Adam Wiltzie, Dustin O’Halloran has released two albums, A Winged Victory for the Sullen (2011) and Atomos (2014).

He has gone on to score a number of films and TV shows, including Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette (2006), Drake Doremus’ Like Crazy (2011) and Jill Soloway’s Transparent (2014–). He was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for his original Transparent theme.

Dustin O’Halloran collaborated with Hauschka (Volker Bertelmann) to score Lion (2017), and they won an AACTA Award for their score and were nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA.

Dustin has also composed music used in Nike commercials and worked with Katy Perry.

In July 2014, 18-year-old Conrad Roy died by suicide in his car at a parking lot in Fairhaven, Mass. Police soon discovered a series of alarming text messages from his girlfriend, 17-year-old Michelle Carter, that seemed to encourage him to kill himself. This discovery sparked sensational headlines nationwide, leading to a trial that raised difficult questions about technology, social media and mental health, while asking if one person can be held responsible for the suicide of another.

In 2012, teens Michelle Carter and Conrad Roy fell in love. They lived hours apart and met in person no more than five times, but exchanged thousands of texts over a two-year period. After Roy was found dead in his car in July 2014, what appeared to be a standard case of suicide by carbon-monoxide intoxication took a shocking turn when investigators discovered alarming text messages on his phone. Carter, 17 at the time, had urged Roy to kill himself, even after he had second thoughts and removed himself from his car.

Directed by Erin Lee Carr (HBO’s At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal and Mommy Dead and Dearest) I Love You, Now Die explores the complicated relationship between Carter and Roy, drawing on some of the thousands of texts they exchanged over two years to chronicle their courtship and its tragic consequences. Featuring unprecedented access to the families, friends and communities that were forever changed by this unusual case, the documentary explores the changing nature of the justice system today, following a story that has wider implications for society at large, both online and in real life. The film presents a well-rounded look at a bizarre tale that was a deadly convergence of mental illness, loneliness, pop culture and technology.

In July 2017, Michelle Carter was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the suicide of Roy. In August 2017, she was found guilty and began her 15-month prison sentence in February 2019, following a failed appeal.

I Love You, Now Die includes footage from Michelle Carter’s trial, where the filmmakers had the only camera allowed in court and supplied the pool camera for this historic case. It also features interviews with key individuals in the story, including: Conrad Roy’s immediate family; Joseph Cataldo, Michelle Carter’s defense attorney; Dr. Peter Breggin, an expert witness for the defense; police detectives; and journalists who covered the case extensively.

The documentary premiered at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival.

Author of recently released... "Deep Water Blues"....Fred Waitzkin was born in Cambridge Massachusetts. His father was a salesman, and his mother, an abstract expressionist painter and sculptor. To the best that he can recall, Abe and Stella never shared a warm moment. Early on Fred considered careers in sales, big game fishing, and Afro Cuban drumming but by the age of thirteen decided he would be a writer. Both of his parents were strong literary influences along with Ernest Hemingway: “His little sentences thrilling me with descriptions of men pulling in huge sharks and marlin.”

Waitzkin was an English major at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. During the summer vacation following his junior year, he met Bonnie on a sword fishing trip, and a year later they were married. He received a master’s at New York University and for a time considered pursuing a career as a scholar of seventeenth century poetry. He taught English at The College of the Virgin Islands on St. Thomas, but admits that it wasn’t love of teaching poetry that intrigued him about St. Thomas, but rather the rumors of thousand-pound blue marlin that were said to graze twelve or fifteen miles north of the island on a patch of ocean called “the saddle.”

Following the St. Thomas years Fred and Bonnie settled in New York City. After collecting a great many magazine rejections for his short stories, Waitzkin began writing feature journalism, personal essays and reviews for numerous magazines including Esquire, Forbes, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, New York Magazine, Outside Magazine, and Sports Illustrated.

In 1984, Waitzkin published Searching for Bobby Fischer, the story of three years in the lives of Fred and his chess prodigy son, Josh Waitzkin. The book became an internationally acclaimed best seller. In 1993 the movie version was released by Paramount and that same year was nominated for an academy award.

In 1993, Waitzkin published, Mortal Games, a biography of world chess champion, Garry Kasparov. It has been described as, “a remarkable look inside the world of genius—a brilliant exploration of obsession, risk and triumph.”

In 2000 he published, The Last Marlin, a memoir that was selected by The New York Times as “a best book of the year.”

In the spring of 2013 St. Martin’s Press published The Dream Merchant, Waitzkin’s first novel. In a starred review Kirkus wrote, “Waitzkin offers a singular and haunting morality tale, sophisticated, literary, and intelligent. Thoroughly entertaining. Deeply imaginative. Highly recommended.” A second novel, Deep Water Blues, published in 2019 by Open Road Media, is set on a remote a sparsely populated Bahamian island where a peaceful marina becomes a battleground.

Fred Waitzkin lives in Manhattan with his wife Bonnie. He has two children, Josh and Katya, and two cherished grandsons, Jack and Charlie. Fred spends as much time as possible on the bridge of his old boat Ebb Tide trolling baits off distant islands with family and friends.

One of the toughest, most rugged competitors ever to come down the pike, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine more than carried on the tradition first established by his legendary father, the late Johnny Valentine. A top-ranked Superstar during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, his career saw him earn a slew of singles and tag team championships in different eras of sports-entertainment history in the NWA, WCW and WWE.

In the late 70s and early 80s, Valentine bounced between the NWA and WWE. "The Hammer" held the NWA Mid-Atlantic (every territory had their own tag team champions) World Tag Team Title with Ric Flair. Valentine also held the WWE World Team Title with Brutus Beefcake. As a singles competitor, Valentine won the United States Championship in the NWA and the Intercontinental Championship in WWE. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that Valentine is one of the few Superstars who can lay claim to competing on the NWA's first Starrcade (he defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a Dog Collar Match to win the United States Championship) as well as the first WrestleMania (he successfully defended the Intercontinetal Championship against Junkyard Dog).

After leaving WWE, "The Hammer" made frequent appearances on WCW Monday Nitro as late as 1997 and returned to compete on WWE Monday Night Raw in 2005, 35 years after his debut match! Adam Kownacki emigrated from Poland with his family to America at the age of 7, settling in the predominantly Polish neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Adam’s parents worked long shifts trying to make ends meet so their three children could have a better future. To pass idle time, Adam joined a karate program, but it wasn’t until 1999, when Polish star Andrew Golota fought Michael Grant, that Adam fell in love with boxing. Adam started boxing to stay in shape (by the age of 15, he weighed a whopping 270 pounds).

Adam eventually joined the legendary Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn, winning the super heavyweight New York Daily News Golden Gloves in 2006 and 2009. AKBABYFACE turned pro in October of 2009, knocking out his first opponent in just 22 seconds of the first round. After winning his first 4 bouts AKBABYFACE suffered an accident in which he fractured his left hand and put his career on hold for 2 years. Ready to keep advancing, AKBABYFACE went to camp with Wladimir Klitschko as a sparring partner but after tearing his left bicep, he was sidelined for another year.

At 6'9", Zdeno Chara is the tallest person ever to play in the NHL. Chara was born and raised in Trencin, Slovakia. At the age of 17 he played Junior B hockey with Dukla Trencin. The following year he was picked up by Piestany of Division II in Slovakia while also spending some of his playing time with the national junior team and HC Sparta Praha.

At the age of 19, Chara decided to move to North America, where he still had one year of major junior eligibility remaining. He suited up for the Prince George Cougars of the WHL. In 49 contests, he had three goals and 22 points. Chara wanted to familiarize himself with the North American game and to adjust to the smaller ice surface, having been selected 56th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.

In 1997-98, Chara played 25 games with the New York Islanders, picking up one assist. He followed that with a 59-game effort the next year, scoring two goals and eight points. Chara played two more years on Long Island before being sent to the Ottawa Senators for the start of the 2001-02 season.

Chara credits several of his junior coaches in Slovakia and Stan Butler in Prince George as being the people who were most influential in his development as a player, which has seen him rise all the way to a regular performer in the NHL and to his first NHL All-Star performance in 2003.

In 2003-04, Chara established himself as one of the premier defensemen in the league while setting career highs in goals with 16 and points with 41 and was named runner-up for the Norris Trophy as league's top defenseman. As the following season ended, so did Chara's contract and tenure with the Sens.

July 1, 2006 Zdeno Chara was signed as a free agent by the Boston Bruins and named captain of the club. In his first full season as a Bruin, Chara matched his career-high in points (43) and helped establish a rugged blueline corps in Beantown. The following season he established new career season-highs in goals, assists and points with 17-34-51 totals and was voted a finalist for the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenseman.

In 2009, not only did Zdeno Chara break Nicklas Lidstrom's strangle-hold on the Norris Trophy, but he joined exclusive company by becoming just the third Bruin, along with Hall of Famers Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque to win the prestigious award as the NHL's top defenseman. The Bruins captain anchored a defense corps that allowed the fewest goals against (2.32) in the league and led his club to a first place finish in the Eastern Conference with 116 points, the third best total in franchise history. Jeff Kober, a native of Billings, Montana, was born on December 18, 1953. Not satisfied with being a rancher, Kober relocated to the L.A. area in his twenties with the desire to become an actor. His first appearance on the small screen was a non-billed role in the 1980s series V (1984). Kober went on to supporting roles in the highly acclaimed Vietnam War drama China Beach (1988) and the short-lived, but now-cult horror series Kindred: The Embraced (1996). Following these series, Kober has guested on some of the most popular television series of the day. They include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), ER (1994), 24 (2001), The Closer (2005) and Criminal Minds (2005). Kober's big screen career began with the film Out of Bounds (1986), in which he played the first of his signature nefarious characters - "Roy Gaddis", a small-time drug dealer with murderous inclinations. This role led to more film opportunities in The First Power (1990), Tank Girl (1995) (a comedic turn), Defining Maggie (2002), World Without Waves (2004), and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes II (2007), among others. Joseph has given seminars on Film music at Heartland Film Festival, Nashville Composers Association, Club Cubase at Belmont University. He is an honors graduate of film composition from Berklee College of Music. His primary instrument is trumpet with a dual emphasis in classical and jazz performance. "While working on the Mars Pathfinder mission at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, I came to a fork in the road. It was a moment when I had to decide whether to move out of my comfort zone and take a risk.

NASA was putting together a 25-person launch team that would temporarily move from California to Florida near the Kennedy Space Center. All of my best buddies were going to be on this team. I knew it was going to be a “work hard, play hard” scenario, and I really wanted to go.

Up until that point I had been working as the lead for the simulation software that was used to prepare for the mission. At one point, a colleague and I were tasked with fixing the flight simulation code, including the star scanner—the eyeball of the spacecraft. The flight simulation code fakes out the spacecraft so it thinks it’s flying to Mars when it’s really sitting in the lab in Pasadena. The work had fallen nine months behind schedule, and my teammate Miguel and I had been given eight weeks to complete the code. Neither of us had ever written this kind of code before, but failure was not an option.

In one way, the entire Pathfinder mission was a risk—it was an attempt to reinvent space travel, an experiment to see just how cheap and how fast we could put a spacecraft on another planet. And we didn’t want to disappoint America.

Working night and day, we got the code written and meeting performance targets, and then it was time for some folks to head to Florida to prep for the launch. I really wanted to go. But, I wasn’t on the list because my role was not critical to the Florida operations.

My coworker was the UNIX system administrator, and he was on the list. But, he and his wife were having a baby, and he didn’t want to go.

In one moment, I had to make a critical decision: would I take a risk? I had no idea how to do the job. But I love a challenge, and I really wanted to go to Florida.

I raised my hand and said, “I’ll do it, just teach me how to be the UNIX system administrator.” As if it’s so easy.

So my coworker trained me, and I was just writing everything in a notebook, scribbling down as much as I could. Those notes were all I would have to help me do the job."

Gary Stevens was born in Caldwell, Idaho, on March 6, 1963. He began working for his horse trainer father, Ron, as a groom at age 8. By the time he was 14, Stevens was riding American Quarter Horses.

Stevens began his career as a thoroughbred rider in 1979 at Les Bois Park in Boise, Idaho, winning on his first mount. From there, he soon became a leading rider in Washington and then California. By 1985, Stevens had made a name for himself at the larger tracks and was riding primarily in Southern California.

Stevens burst upon the national scene by winning the Kentucky Derby in 1988 with Hall of Famer Winning Colors He won the Derby again in 1995 with Thunder Gulch and also in 1997 with Hall of Famer Silver Charm.

Along with his three victories in the Kentucky Derby, Stevens won the Preakness Stakes three times (with Silver Charm in 1997, with Hall of Famer Point Given in 2001 and with Oxbow in 2013), the Belmont Stakes three times (with Thunder Gulch in 1995, Victory Gallop in 1998 and Point Given in 2001) and eight Breeders’ Cup races.

Stevens has also won a record nine runnings of the Santa Anita Derby and in 1993 became the youngest jockey to surpass $100 million in career earnings. He won the George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award in 1996, the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey in 1998 and the Mike Venezia Award in 1999.

Other notable races won by Stevens include the Travers Stakes (2), Kentucky Oaks (2), Santa Anita Handicap (4), Arlington Million (2), Pacific Classic (2), Jockey Club Gold Cup, Eddie Read Handicap (2), Del Mar Debutante Stakes (4), Japan Cup, Canadian International Stakes (2) and the Dubai World Cup.

Lennie James was born in Nottingham to Trinidadian parents, and grew up in South London. His mother, Phyllis Mary James, died when he was 12. Lennie and his older brother went into a council children's home. When he was 16 he was fostered with a social worker who had two older children, and they remain very close. Within a year Lennie began writing plays (Storm Damage was broadcast by the BBC in 2000 and won a Royal Television Society (RTS) award in 2001). Lennie received his training at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama from which he graduated in 1988.

Lennie has an amazing and lengthy filmography and his portrayal of Morgan Jones on The Walking Dead remains one of the best performances of a character in Television History.

David Lee is a household name in South Africa where he worked predominantly in theatre and television. His outstanding performances on stage garnered him multiple nominations all around Southern Africa. In 1995, David completed a post graduate drama course at Drama Studio London, where he was nominated as Actor of the Year for his powerful and moving performance of "Othello". His first film, "Paljas", was an official selection for the Academy Awards in 1998. His last film before departing for the United States, "Final Solution", produced by Messenger Films (USA), was an official selection at 11 film festivals and has earned 6 awards, including the I.C.V.M Award for best film. 2017 saw David join the Marvel family with his contribution of the villainous character, "Limbani", in Marvels latest super hero installation, the 2018 record setting "Black Panther", working alongside Michael B. Jordan(Eric Killmonger) and Andy Serkis(Ulysses Klaue). Prior to that, David returned from a long stay in New Orleans, where he reunited with Warner Brothers and director/writer/producer, Dean Devlin ("Independence Day", "Godzilla", "Leverage") working alongside Gerard Butler, Academy Award nominee, Andy Garcia and Academy Award winner, Ed Harris in Dean Devlin's much anticipated upcoming blockbuster, "Geostorm". After creating the recurring role as the sinister and somewhat charming villain 'Phillip Jones' in season 2 of "Nikita", David is now "bringing the funny". Going back to his comedic roots and doing what he loves most, he can be seen starring as a recurring guest star alongside Melissa Peterman, and Jean-Luc Bilodeau in ABC Family's hit sitcom, 'Baby Daddy'. Nathaniel Philbrick was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he attended Linden Elementary School and Taylor Allderdice High School. He earned a BA in English from Brown University and an MA in America Literature from Duke University, where he was a James B. Duke Fellow. He was Brown University’s first Intercollegiate All-American sailor in 1978, the same year he won the Sunfish North Americans in Barrington, RI.

In 2000, Philbrick published the New York Times bestseller, In the Heart of the Sea, which won the National Book Award for nonfiction. The book was the basis of the 2015 movie of the same title directed by Ron Howard. The book also inspired a 2001 Dateline special on NBC as well as the 2010 PBS American Experience film “Into the Deep” by Ric Burns.

Philbrick’s writing has appeared in Vanity Fair, The New York Times Book Review, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and The Boston Globe. He has appeared on the Today Show, the Morning Show, Dateline, PBS’s American Experience, C-SPAN, and NPR. He and his wife Melissa still live on Nantucket.

John David Washington, the son of Denzel Washington and co-star in HBO's Ballers, is in talks to star as Ron Stallworth, the Colorado Springs, Colorado detective who penetrated the KKK in 1978 after responding to an ad for new members, Even though Stallworth was black, he managed to become head of his local KKK chapter by pretending to be a white supremacist via phone or written correspondence; when his presence was needed, Stallworth recruited a white officer to take his place.
