"I started spending more time in the mountains where all I did was ride". We all want to spend more time riding. To go out to the park, track, lake, or mountains and spend most of our time doing what we love. As often as we can, we make it happen, that is just what we do! 

Brandon spends his hard earned time in the mountains when the ground is frozen and work is slow. He has figured out like so many others to work hard when he can, put money aside and use it for what he loves to do. He's also found a career that will give him the time he needs to be out in the mountains progressing on his sled. Though not all of us are as fortunate with our careers, however there are enough backcountry athletes that make it happen, we see that it is possible to make it a reality.

I believe one of the most overlooked opportunities in an Action Sports career is relationship building. I have fallen short so many times in my career with relationships. From missed opportunities because I didn't believe (at the time) there was value in spending my time with individuals to completely leaving a door wide open and not stepping through because I didn't know how to overcome a personal challenge.

Today my hope is that this episode will help move the needle in your life. I KNOW if it wasn't for building a relationship with certain individuals, my career would look very different today. It's because of others in my life and me taking action, I have built some amazing relationships that will be lifetime long and continue to serve me in the coming decade and further. The flip side is true too, I KNOW if I mess it up, my career could be over quickly. Fortunately I have a good feeling about the future.

"Someone recommended I try riding a Snowbike in 2011 and I laughed in their face!" It's funny to see what happens when we say one thing and then later in our life it ends up happening anyways! If we could just short cut the journey, I think we'd find ourselves more successful quicker! However, without learning how to pivot and make changes I don't believe we'd learn and grow. So watching JT's life continue to unfold and change each year has been awesome. Becoming friends with the once Timbersled Ambassador and now a Fox Rep and MTN.Top Snowbike Ambassador was a great idea. I've seen what happens when I leave a door closed, I usually miss an opportunity. But when I leave it slightly open, the world is my opportunity. And today we learn more about JT leaving the door open slightly and getting to reach his goals he's set for himself.

"I ride pit bikes more than I ride big bikes".  It's awesome to learn more about a rider and their background. So many things that otherwise are left unknown to a majority and yet they may be local legends. Quinn is one of those guys. On today's episode we get a better look at Quinn's life and how it began. Some funny stuff has gone on in that dude's life and it's still in the beginning. He has been influenced like most of us, from a sibling or parent to push ourselves and reach goals we set. Some of the best feelings in the world come from crushing it in your life and then helping others do that same. Quinn is a stellar dude and can't wait to have him back on the podcast in the future.

"I did wheelie a Harley". Now that is not something most have ever seen let alone done in their lifetime! Greg though is not the typical MX rider either. A drive of passion and love for the industry has helped Greg shape his current career. Today you can see him blowing it up on social media with his content around bike builds, primarily 2-strokes. A bunch of us older guys and gals remember when 2-strokes were the only bikes you would consider buying. However, with demand in our economy and certain advantages, 4-strokes are now the bike to buy and race on the MX or SX track. There are tons of two strokes out there and Greg has found a passion picking them up, restorings them back to the way we saw them on the big screen, racing around the track, bringing back some nostalgia for each one of us and why we started riding in the first place. I'm stoked to hang with Greg and learn more about his lifestyle and career in the industry and cannot wait to see what comes next for this awesome dude.

His drive to pursue a career inside the action sports industry is very transparent. This guy eat, sleeps, breathes all things action sports. From deep ruts climbing up hills to crushing it at the bmx park or jamming at the skatepark, Josh isn't one to sit around for long! He admits though that life isn't always blue skies and perfect weather. You've got to do your best with what you have and make up the rest when you can. He's the dude that can make things happen when he puts his mind to it and won't stop till he's happy with his results.

I've been paying attention to our industry more and more each year. Though I still might not know everything about the community, I can tell you that one thing is for sure. Nothing is guaranteed. So how do we prepare for seasons like that? Jim Rohn taught that "winter always comes after fall and spring always comes after winter, it's been that way for at least the last 6,000 years!" So preparing for the winters (metaphorically) are always necessary in business. Just make sure it's the right thing for you.

I'm stoked to discuss some awesome changes in the podcast. It's been an awesome run for the last almost 150 episodes in the span of a couple years. The time has flown by and so many things have developed and changed. Change in my opinion is a great thing as more doors will open up for each of us that embrace the change. In this episode I break down what are the changes that are to be expected and where the podcast is heading. I'm stoked to be sharing this episode with all of you, and can't wait to see what is next!

How often are you proud of something you've built?

When WAS the last time you built something you've been proud of?

I really enjoyed having the owner of MotoProHQ on the podcast today. He was a fantastic guest and I learned so much more than I anticipated about their products that they provide for the motorcycle and bicycle community. There are ideas that we have each day but it's not common to be like Jim and put those thoughts on paper then make them come to life. Jim had a problem that was driving him crazy and so finally he put it down on paper and made it happen. And thanks to him, we have another great product that meets our needs!

Filling a need in our industry is what keeps our industry alive and progressing forward. That is why bikes, sleds, boards, boards, etc. are refined with new "updated" models each year. OR you will see variations that fit a particular style of riding. We must progress in our industry and continue to innovate or we may find ourselves fed up and bored with the same old same old. Fortunately as humans we love to make things easier and more convenient which drives more innovation for inventions and new products that we can use that really do make our lives better and easier. What a profound thought by today's guest. Marten Devlieger is a guest unlike any other guest I've had on the podcast to date. This guy truly lives every single day as if tomorrow he won't be around. In reality, it very may well be true! None of us truly know. However, Marten lives with this pressing on his mind day in and day out and I can assure you, it is exhausting but this dude does not let it stop him or slow him down. He crushes it every single day!

I'm stoked to find special guests like Marten. He gives us a perspective that most think about once in a while but not often enough to push ourselves to our fullest potential. Life is so short. If you ask anyone in their 80's, not a single one will tell you it took too long to get there. But rather life came and went like the blink of an eye. You might be surprised to learn how the top athletes look at racing. Jake Versey has an amazing mindset when it comes to building his brand. He is laser focused on what he wants to achieve and he is willing to grind and go through some major growth pains to get there. He's been crushing it on the track which takes time and effort but also a certain mindset to keep you at the top. Jake Versey is making sure he doesn't lose that edge.

Racing has so vast spectrum of riders that participate. A majority of individuals you see out on the track are amatuer riders, unless you are watching the main event. Then of course it's all professionals. But those pros started in the amatuer class and moved their way up. Some can do it faster than others, but once you are up competing with world class individuals, then it comes down to the differences in how each athlete sets himself up to be #1.

Chris Johnson has not always been a backcountry sledder. Did you know, he actually cut his teeth on the mountains on a board! Such a cool background he brings into this story. There are so many twists and turns that we take during our lives and Chris has found himself like so many others, loving his riding lifestyle in the backcountry! You'll be surprised the line of work he is in that allows him to spend so much time in the backcountry. 

We choose what we want in our lives. I strongly believe there are few that have those choices taken from each of us. Typically we rob ourselves on what we can truly achieve in our industry. If you apply yourself, get out and do the work, you will find out quickly that you can achieve your goals and dreams. Don't rob yourself of pushing yourself, getting out of your comfort zone and get out there and ride!

Stoked to have Grant Whitaker, a dude that is "making waves" on the show. Grant's story is not A typical and he drops some mega fun things talking about this particular sport most others don't know much about. He is finding himself on the podium more and more each year. When he sees an opportunity, he is sure to jump after it. Plus he has some mega support that is always with him racing. Grant is the first of to be more in the future watercross pros. His start in racing is interesting but so relatable and most will find it similar to their own lives. 

We love the diversity of our industry. It's basically a industry "if you can think it, you can do it" set up. So when you see snowmobiles out on the water, you know somebody somewhere at some time said "hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin", though that was not Grant! I am sure glad we have more people that love this industry enough to think outside the box and make it more enjoyable for all.

So many times I've talked with an athlete that has shared his/her experience landing a dream position with a company they admire. One of many shared advice from these individuals "don't quit till you get it". That's powerful. It could mean you are one conversation away from talking to a person that can help you land that perfect position, or land that dream sponsor, or become part of the dream team. It's crazy that we are just one step away from tremendous success. It's amazing!

Hanging out with Chase Yach was super fun. Learning about his past and honestly, getting confused for a minute made this episode a good one. Chase literally gave it his all and did what it takes to get that opportunity so many dream of. It came from saying "Yes" to something he wasn't even sure he knew he could do, but he was willing to give it his all and do it. This attitude is what brought him success with Freshies Built.

With a strong background in the industry and a drive to ride as often as possible, Chase is literally chasing his dreams! Or maybe you could say riding his dreams. Though if you ask him if it's easy, he will likely say "No, but it's worth it". These are words coming from somebody that truly loves what he does. We get to hear some fun stories and some surprising acquaintances of his that help us get closer to our goals and ambitions we have for our own growth. This is a good one.

How soon do dreams come true?

I constantly wonder about athletes and their dreams and goals in life. So many find themselves in positions of notoriety and fame but that is not typically what they were wanting to achieve. Most are like everyone else. Just want to ride each day and enjoy their lives. I believe what separates these athletes from the rest is being relentlessly pushing for what they want, never entertaining a Plan B.

Ryder is absolutely crushing it in the Hard Enduro world. At 20 years old, this guy has his heart set on being #1, and he pushes hard every single year to get there. The difference between Ryder and most others is that he KNOWS he can win. He has won many times and he knows he can continue doing it. Once you know, you know. Ya know? It's the same rule with everything else in life. 

For a young racer like Ryder to step on the podium multiple times a year is not unheard of. But typically the background of most other riders is vastly different from his. We get to dive into some details about his life that most don't see or expect, but once you understand some of the key facts to life as a racer, you too can compete at a level he does, and maybe one day step on the podium with him.

What are your strategies with social media?

There are so many ways to get attention, have you found the ones that work for you?

I mean everybody has some type of strategy that works, right?

When it comes to social media, there seems to be a variety thoughts and ideas that go around. Some seem to find a great strategy that works really well for them, others seem to really struggle. However, there are proven strategies that work and have been proven over and over with great results! So it's up to each of us to decide what our goals are and what we want to gain from the social platforms. 

Landon Pavan has a fascinating approach he has adopted over the years, and it has worked for him. It's awesome to hear that he is stoked with the success he has seen but he has also noticed that there is still more improvement that he would like to see on his channels. This is the case for the majority as well. But Landon is stoked each year to gather as much content as possible so he can continue to share the stoke of riding sleds.

In this episode I'm stoked Landon took time out of his life to chat about his current lifestyle. There are some very unique things going on in his life I did not anticipate to learn and some knowledge I walked away with that is better for me. I don't believe this guy is planning on slowing down either. He has some great goals that he wants to accomplish and I'm stoked to see him do it!

Our industry without a doubt is more accessible when you become part of a network. But what have you been doing to connect with others that work at big companies? Or those businesses that you love but are still too afraid to approach? I strongly believe that anyone can network and build relationships with the big companies or the big name athletes if you stick with it. Most guests on the show tell you how to do it. 

So hanging with some of the crew over at 509, primarily a snowmobile company but creating more products in the dirt industry, we get to hear more about their perspective, especially from a big business perspective. Ty Hennessy, the International Sales Manager, and David McKinney, the Creative Marketing Manager, hanging out on the podcast today and diving into their lives working at 509. 

This episode could have lasted soo much longer, however we dived into some great details about these two “regular” people and really how they got their start at a big company. Now if you know them, you might not actually know their stories completely. There were some things they didn’t know about each other which made this episode fun and I am stoked to share their stories with each of you. At the end of the day, don’t stop making connections and stepping closer and closer to getting your foot in the door, you never know where you will end up.

Why do dealerships have race teams?

Is it because race teams are rad? (YES THEY ARE!)

Or is it to just give free stuff out to racers?

I've wondered for years on the topic of race teams or sponsorships. Why they would give gear and machines to these individuals and watch them race in a completely different location. I didn't see how that would make sense or why anybody would travel miles or kilometers to get to a dealership. And then some dealerships would create race teams and dump thousands of dollars traveling and machines built for those races. It just bewildered me.

Until I met Aaron at The Action Sports Club. Then it made sense. 

So with some knowledge and understanding, having a guest like Alex Parker with Cobequid Mountain Sports on as a guest, I was pumped to have the opportunity to chat with him about his perspectives. He's had a few big name individuals as sponsors for his race teams. And when I asked him why he did it... Well I was a little surprised to hear his answer.

We get into some great conversations during this episode. Like I mentioned, he is a dealership owner for starters! Oh, and he's only 29! Dreams do come true you know. We had a great time talking about sponsorships, his lifestyle, and off camera we talked about some of the issues he is currently dealing with as a business owner. (Check out the dealership's IG account around when this episode is released to know what happened) I'm stoked to have the time to sit down and learn from someone that is killing it in the industry.

Have you ever had an idea that would fix a need in the industry?

You know it's a great idea, and you have the tools and knowledge to get it done.

So what stops you from going for it?

Risk Racing was born with a fix to a need in the dirt bike industry. We've all had ideas and thoughts that could fix an issue that we come across on a regular basis. But maybe we get too afraid that it might have already been created, or that somebody will tell us that that our idea is dumb or not practical. So many negativity has destroyed ideas and dreams in this world. I'm stoked though that our guest today didn't let that negative thinking stop him from creating products that fixes needs in the industry. 

James Burry is for sure an entrepreneur in our industry making amazing products have have seen at the track or in the back of a truck. But there is way more to James than just creating the Lock-N-Load that secures your bike by clamping onto the foot pegs. He has more than one business he is currently running! And his desire to keep innovating is because of his passion for our industry.

James shares so many fun thoughts about his products but also about innovating and creating new products that help make our lives better. The best thing about having James on is that he is completely real about the opportunities that come to everybody but so many don't take advantage of the opportunities when they are knocking at your door. He shows each of us listening to this episode, it's worth the hard work, long nights, and headaches to do something others appreciate and enjoy having in their lives.

Have you ever had doors open to you when you least expect it?

Each one of us have our limits and expectations right? So many people will stay in their comfort zones and do their best to stay in there. It's hard to move individuals out of that zone too! It's where the comfy couches are, nice soft bean bags, and there is an awesome movie on that you've always wanted to watch! Of course it would be hard to leave that.

Now if you stay there, is it worth missing out on opportunities and go places you dream about? That's the question we all ask ourselves at some point. So making the decision to either stay comfortable or get out of your comfort zone can be life changing. And that is why Lindsay is crushing it in the industry, and even voted President of VIDRA!

With purchasing a bike later in her teens, Lindsay has been ambitious about learning how to race and enjoy all aspects of the industry. She even created a race team which has really been leading the industry for women. She is an awesome example showing others that you can be stretched, pulled here and there, and still manage to put your head down, do your work, and even get on the podium. Stoked to share this episode with you today!

What has been a passion of yours?

Most of us are passionate about one thing or another. 

Some look at our industry as only a hobby. 

So what's the difference between the two? I find this definition interesting: "A hobby can become a passion. And similarly, a passion can become a hobby. The ultimate difference is that a passion is something you can’t live without while a hobby is just to fill your free time." - Kayla Matthews. So many individuals that I meet are hungry for more time on their machines and so they are willing to do almost anything to spend more time riding. But not many actually do.

Zach is an awesome example of pursuing your passion. He does have a life outside of riding, but he loves the industry so much he spends a ton of time making videos about riding, both off-road and enduro, hill climbs, and does some reviews in the dirt bike world. Because of his passion, he is creating content that gets attention and continues to grow bigger and bigger. 

I was stoked to come across Zach and learn more about what he does to grow his accounts. His thoughts and strategies have been working well for him and he doesn't mind expressing his thoughts about riding places left unknown to the majority. But he is a nice guy and willing to help just about anyone out if they have questions and want to learn something new. 

Having Zach on the podcast was a good time and I'm stoked to see where his content goes from here. Things are always changing and opportunities are always coming up, so it's good to keep on track and learn as much as fast as possible, so you are not left behind!

Have you ever met somebody that makes life more enjoyable?

We all have that friend we want to be around because of their energy.

Maybe you are that friend that is the life of the party!

No matter where you go, there is always a friend you can find that is like that! Always a good time to be around. Helps you when you feel down and builds you up when you are already doing great! Could be anyone really in your life too. So I'm stoked to sit down with an individual that is completely like that.

Stoked Victoria Poohachoff sat down to record a podcast. It was a great time sitting down with her and learning more about her life and place in the industry. Before she even came on the show, she was a pure delight to chat with. So when she came on, I knew it would be a good time. 

In this episode we get to learn more about being an ambassador for a company like Timbersled. But also learn more about working with others companies. There are so many opportunities out there and some don't work out as you expected. It's still a good learning experience and you can grow so much after you have spent time building yourself into a great ambassador of a company. 

Victoria is a blast and I am sure out on the snow she is even more fun. But on the show she has a great energy that I believe others will enjoy. It's people like her that help so many others enjoy the industry in a completely different way.

What is it like to compete on a world stage?

Not everybody in their lifetime will have this opportunity.

However, there are many that have the goal to compete against so many in the world.

I believe each one of us have dreams about being famous at some point in our lives. For the majority, that dream comes at an early age. Especially when we gather around the tv and have the opportunity to watch our respective countries are competing on the world stage for the gold medal and really, bragging rights for that year, and there's nothing wrong with that!

Chris Lillis is part of the United States Ski Team. He has busted his butt for so many years to become an olympian. From an early age, he has taken on the challenge to dedicate so many years to learn the discipline of competing and doing it on a world level. Such a great opportunity that does not come to every person. 

Talking about competing on a world stage, it was awesome that Chris has competed well enough that he has found himself on the podium in 2022. What an accomplishment this is for any athlete! During his time of competing, Chris has found a passion for the industry and isn't ready to stop pursuing more gold medals. 

When you are ready to take on your dreams, know that it takes time and effort. Any worthwhile goal takes dedication and effort on your part and support from others. It's ok if you don't have it figured out right away, but if you begin working on your goal early on, you will find that it's worth the effort when you finally make it, and that you have that many more years to enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Have you tried cross training?

You might be like me, "What the heck is cross training"?

Or you are a seasoned pro and have been cross training your entire life!

No matter what stage you are at, cross training has its advantages. Let's focus on one discipline. Hard Enduro and Trials. Two different sports and yet they both can benefit each other. One can benefit the other quite a bit, but they are both useful to each other when one is wanting to increase their riding skills on a bike. 

It was cool to hang with Tim Coleman, a Trials Bike Pro that has been riding trials since a young age on a compound. (The same compound he met his significant other!) So to learn more about the discipline advantages of riding trials and how to convert them over to Hard Enduro was fascinating to hear. 

Tim has also been working in the industry putting on clinics and shows for fans of riding. At one time, you could find Tim chilling with another guest I've had on the podcast! His passion for riding has taken him many places including over here in the United States. Oh I didn't mention before, he's from Australia! There are some amazing riders that come out of that country. 

Anyways the cross training piece is important for athletes when they are wanting to hone in their skills on a bike. Tim knows the discipline learned on a trials bike and how they are applicable to the Hard Enduro world. That is why he teaches so many the skills necessary to do better each time they get on a bike. Hanging with Tim was a great opportunity I'm excited to share with all the listeners.

What would it be like to go pro quickly?

From a young age we all have watched the professionals on TV, Films, YouTube, or Radio. 

And we know that going pro can happen as early as 16, at least down in the U.S.

When Spenser Wilton came on to the show, I expected the guy to be at least 27 or 28 years old with the way he presents himself and the hard work he puts into his career. I mean the conversation we had was fantastic around racing, business, and sponsorships. Then he dropped that he was still in his early 20's! Wow that was a shocker.

Spenser went pro not long after he began his age eligibility. After going pro, he has climbed his way to be one of the best riders in Hard Enduro and Endurocross. But most people don't know him from his racing career. In fact most people know him from his Vlogging.

Once he discovered the opportunity to fill a need in the industry, Spenser jumped on documenting his racing through the Hard Enduro series. This has brought him recognition online and more people are enjoying his content he's creating. He believes that there has been so much left on the table when it comes to working with companies, he knew he could create a brand and pursue his passion on a different level.

What does delayed gratification look like?

Seems most of us are part of the "I want it now" lifestyle.

But what could happen if you began delaying the instant gratification for something bigger?

With cell phones in our pockets, credit cards in our wallets, instant millionaires from crypto, or over night social media superstars, it's no wonder so many are programmed to be satisfied right here, right now. I know I am guilty of this. It's easier to be instantly gratified than wait and work for something I can't have in the moment. Cameron Beck though is a man that learned quickly what he wants in his life. Today this awesome dude is surfing every day in the summer and riding sleds almost every day in the winter. He has delayed his gratification long enough to open up opportunities at a young age that most won't see until they are in their 70's. So let's figure out how he did it, and how we can do it too.

What would that community look like?

Some of the best days are spent with others that are similar in beliefs and actions. So many want to belong to a community or group, and feel that they can identify and feel accepted. That is why we love our industry so much. It is a large community of passionate individuals. Darcy with Full Throttle Nation came into a community that has really helped him find his passion. He has been part of the action sports lifestyle for a bit but when he finally picked up a 4X4 Can-Am he felt right at home. The next thing to do was find others that enjoy attending events and putting on fun entertainment for others attending. That's exactly what Full Throttle Nation and others do for their communities, and it looks like a good time!

We make daily decisions that can make huge impacts in our lives, or course correct just a tiny bit. Each one of us has a decision to make when we wake up each morning. Are you pursuing your dreams, or building somebody else's? I can't say I'm perfect and living the perfect dream, but I know with course corrections, I'm continually making it towards my goals! DJ Osborne is the same way. He is crushing it in his life and really pushing to reach his dreams. It's been a long time coming, but he is ready for the adventure, creating as much content as possible each and every day, so he can live the lifestyle he was born to live.

Are you in “race shape”?

I mean are you at your peak level to operate as an athlete.

Or have you been lacking in an area that you know you could do more growth?

It’s interesting to know that the top performers in any industry are not at the top by themselves, meaning they didn’t get there all alone. The great thing about these individuals though, they had 100% desire to get there and needed to figure out how to get there. So all of the top performers you’ve seen or met have coaches of some shape or form. Jeremy Keech is a top performing coach. He has been working with athletes for a little bit now helping them get where they want physically, dialing in that “race shape” body. Because of his time and dedication to the industry, he helps many individuals overcome hurdles in their lives, being an athlete himself, he knows what to expect.

There are some athletes in our industry that are “world class”. Meaning they perform against athletes around the world to prove that they can make it to the top or battle long and hard enough to be a worthy opponent. So even if you are at the top, you will always be battling others wanting to take your place, depends on how hungry you are. Stoke Quinn Wentzel came on the show. This guy is for sure always reaching for the top, and he’s gotten extremely close to grabbing onto it. With a strong background riding bikes and racing since the age of 3, Quinn is pushing each year to be the best in the world, and he’s not backing down any time soon.

It’s been awesome to find individuals that are way cooler when they actually tell you their story than presumptions you might make only looking on the outside of the person. So today we have the opportunity to hear more about an editor for Hi-Torque Publications, Nick Claire. His story is fascinating and unexpected. From a lifestyle of living in the fast lane to connecting with others which helped him get into the position he is in now. Networking is huge in our industry and Nick would tell you first hand that he wouldn’t be in his current position if it wasn’t for connecting more with others.

Does failure stop you from trying?

Doors stay closed when we think this way. Opportunities never seem to come to us and only the “lucky” ones are able to get all of the success. But that is simply not true! Today’s guest is a great example of overcoming obstacles no matter how many times you fall. Tamara Goodridge continues regularly to overcome obstacles and challenges while on her dirtbike and in life. She hears those voices we all hear and she knows how strong they can be. She also knows how strong her own voice is and she doesn’t let the doubter inside win. You will see her fall down but know for a surety she keeps standing back up, wiping away the dust and moves forward towards her goal.

I hear that if you don't race from a young age, you won't be successful.

I've also heard that someone might be "too old" to land sponsorships.

Are these facts of life though?

Absolutely not! Your age is for sure limited by your lifestyle. If you eat, drink, and party, then you are probably a great person to hangout with when it's night time party time. But if you are 40 years old and spend as much time on the bike as the 20 year olds do, you are likely going to see amazing results most dream about but don't chase.  Frank Atwell found that he loves racing Hard Enduro in his late 30's and he didn't let his age stop him. There are limitations in this world but the ones we can control, we can learn to dominate and get amazing results that we seek. It really comes down to how hungry we are, and Frank is an amazing example of what is possible.

Sure we can all come up with more excuses for not living our dreams, but in the case of Brett, he's happy where he's at and wouldn't change it.

Can you imagine hosting an event?

So when we found out Greg Peterson is hosting the Grassroots Enduro in Australia, it wasn't a hard decision to make having him as a guest on the podcast. This episode is unique because we don't get to talk with individuals that host events and are on the front lines pushing to grow a certain action sport. Logan Stanfield has faced his share of challenges with peers but has not let that stop him from pursuing his passion. Logan pushes himself on and off the track so he can compete and make his dreams come true. ATV MX can be a truly brutal sport and you never know what's around the next corner, but that never slows down Logan as he continues to crush it on the track.

We believed it then so what’s stopping us from believing today? Jess Pettis is still dreaming and laser focused on his goals. Injuries are part of the job. Success is part of the job. Crazy schedules are part of the job. When life gives us lemons, we find a way to get out and ride!

Even when you don’t grow up riding or even racing, you still can get the results that you want. It really comes down to your commitment level and what you want to achieve in the industry. Our guest today did not speak english from birth but rather we have the opportunity to hear from someone from more Eastern Canada. But that is not a barrier for Kevin Dupuis. Though there are always excuses, Kevin is so focused on how he can live the lifestyle of his choosing and race as often as possible, he has opened up doors for himself and is in a better situation than most. What risks are you willing to take to ride more often?

It takes effort and a certain level of risk to live a perfect lifestyle.

What are you giving up if you don’t live your dream lifestyle?

We all know that life has certain risks. Just driving down the road is a risk of life and death in certain circumstances. We don’t normally think about the risk though when we travel and focus on the risk of injury or death when we are out riding and enjoying our passion. There is also a level of risk with occupation as well. And somewhat recently, we’ve learned that most jobs aren’t secure… so what’s stopping you from living your perfect lifestyle?

Today we sat down with an awesome sledder out of Canada. Ontario to be more specific. He’s been mentioned on the podcast before and it was awesome to get an opportunity to sit down and chat about his lifestyle. Jason McMurray is a talented rider that has pushed himself to figure out how he can manage sledding for 40 or more days a year with a strong career and balance a family. He’s making it work. The lifestyle we all want takes risks but the rewards are high as well. Stoked to see where Jason is taking his journey next.

What challenges keep you from riding?

When you get injured, do you quit?

Honestly, this is a tough discussion to have..

There are many ways to get injured, right? Some are simple falls but can have devastating results. Others are crazy instance crashes and you might walk away with a minor damage. Then there are those crashes that happen for you and your life is turned upside down… that is truly the time you can decide to quit and be done completely or decide to become somebody different and push yourself to another level. The choice is completely up to you.

So many surprises came from today’s podcast. There is so much information to talk about in such a short amount of time. Marcel Michitsch is always pushing himself to find his limits which keeps him extremely busy in his life! He’s decided to push himself more and not let his life challenges slow him down. From many podium wins to great social media content, Marcel is a fantastic guy and we are stoked to share his story with you. OH and you might know him as One Legged Racer.

Social media can be so time consuming, right?

It seems that if we are thinking we are watching a video for a min or two..

We find ourselves hours later still scrolling through stories and reels!

There are some individuals out there that make great content or are extremely talented and their content is hard to pull away from. Seems as though that is the mission of these platforms.. Right? But seriously there are some extremely talented athletes and they can captivate audiences with their talents. So it’s hard to pull away in person or online.

When I originally chatted with Dusty Phares, he told me he was talented but I was skeptical for sure. “You should see me ride dude. I’m FAST!” is a statement I hear regularly. So when I hopped on Dusty’s instagram account, he showed his talent in just a few videos! He is stupid fast and talented and has been racing for a really long time. From his young years racing to his track training, Dusty is a great athlete and works really hard on himself and what he wants to achieve in the industry.

Who doesn’t like a two part episode?

I suppose it depends on the content.

And let's face it, sometimes we don’t know what we don’t know. 

It’s fascinating to think about the phenomenon of not knowing what we don’t know. When you learn a new skill and you believe you have mastered it, knowing everything you can about that particular skill, you still can learn something new about that skill. That is the part of growth that we don’t really consider. I mean look at the pro athletes that seem untouchable on a track, at a park, on the slopes, or on the water, there is always something new for them to learn. So you don’t know what you don’t know. 

It’s awesome to have Nic hang around and stay interested in recording a second episode. I really felt that Nic has way more value to share and he was very open to sharing. So I wasn’t going to let the opportunity pass me by and after a few attempts we sat back down and knocked it out. We are stoked to share this episode and know there are some sick nuggets that you will get out of this episode like you did on the first.

We love seeing the passion of the Action Sports industry.

There are so many women and men that live, breathe, eat, and sleep in action sports.

Each one of them has their own unique story.

A friend once said “You are a unique snowflake!” Apparently that saying means something different in the US than it does in Canada. But get past the jargon and think about his point, it makes sense. Each person is different and has a unique background. Every action sports enthusiast, athlete or not, came from a unique background and lifestyle. So when you look around today and meet new individuals that are part of the industry, appreciate the differences we each bring to the table!

Luke Youngberg gave us some of his time so we can learn more about his unique lifestyle. What makes Luke different? Well during the summer he is growing christmas trees so in the fall he can harvest them, shipping them nationwide! That’s pretty unique in my opinion. The other uniqueness of Luke is that he lives in Oregon and the closest RMSHA Circuit race is about 10 hours away, yet he does his best to make it to every race, even travels out to Colorado! We all have drive and passion, and I’d argue that you won’t find the same level of passion for others sports like you will find within the Action Sports community.

What is the ultimate goal you want to accomplish inside the industry?

There is still so much to explore and create, it’s hard to choose.

So if you had to pick one thing, what gets you moving out of bed in the morning?

Every single person has a goal bigger than himself/herself in this life. Though we might not know exactly what that is right away, we can find it as we pursue our passions. Some want to change the world, others want to help the younger generation, and some want to grow the industry. No matter what your goal is, that one thing that gets you up out of bed in the morning, that is what you can focus the rest of your life on and make a fantastic career out of it… So why not give it a shot?

We find more and more women in the industry that have deep passion for Action Sports. Chrisma Wortley is one of those individuals that has big ambitions and wants to push the envelope in her life. Her journey is just starting and we are stoked that she has included The Action Sports Club to be part of that journey. When you have as big of goals as Chrisma does, you can’t help to support her. We all know the phrase “When your hooked, your hooked”.

Especially when it comes to Action Sports.

There aren’t many of you out there that would rather work than get out and ride!

So it’s no surprise that many enthusiasts turn athletes after just one race. That phrase fits their lifestyle to a T! And the best part, they want to share that feeling with everyone else! That is why we love this industry so much. It’s way more than just riding, it’s the freedom, the laughs, the tears (mostly because of a fail) and ultimately enjoying the sport with others. At the end of a ride, when it's time to return home, we are already planning our next adventure.

It took one race to hook today’s guest. Riley Sprunger is a long time snowmobile rider and enthusiast turned professional athlete fairly quickly after his first race. With the opportunity in his area to attend the Rocky Mountain States Hill Climb Association events he has excelled extremely quickly in that series. So much so he had the opportunity to land with a few relationships that have backed him up each year with no end in sight. There are many career choices inside action sports.

Some are conventional like sales, parts, apparel, or repair.

There are a few that are less common but sometimes overlooked, and hard to come by

Let’s be honest. If you want to find a job inside the action sports industry, it’s not that difficult to find one. It might require you to move to a new area or city at times, however you local shops seem to always need some help one way or another. However, there are a few careers that are not thought of very often, and if you try to pursue one, typically its a networking style of landing those types of jobs. Today we had an opportunity to sit down with one of those types of people.

Jan (pronounced Y-ANN) Welkerling is a professional snowmobile guide out of Golden British Columbia. For some reason or another, Golden seems to be an awesome place for most action sports. For Jan, it’s the ultimate place that satisfies his passion for the industry. From snowboarding to snowmobiling and all of the sports during the summer, Jan is super active enjoying every single day. So what does Jan do? In the winter he is guiding for a snowmobile company, and in the summer he works at an entertainment park. Both fuel his passion for having a good time with friends and clients every single day.

We all have those dreams of riding every single day.

We sit at work, look out the window and think “Wow. Today would be amazing to go riding."

Then we go back to work and push it out of our minds…

And that is where most people stop pursuing their dreams! If you don’t push for riding 60 days a year but you dream about doing it, then you are smothering your chances of actually doing it. Who told you to dream small? When did you begin telling yourself you aren’t a dreamer? Why did you begin listening to your negative thoughts or better yet “Reality” (HUGE AIR QUOTES HERE PEOPLE). You have the potential to ride 60, 70, 80, or 100 days out of the year if you want to! The only person holding you back is… Yup you guessed it (or maybe not and blamed the weatherman) is YOU!

Today is a treat. Dropping important matters in his life to sit down and record a podcast was nothing but special and we are deeply grateful. Aaron Bernasconi (don’t ask how I pronounced it) looked out that window and decided to do something more with his life than just dream about riding. HE WENT OUT RIDING! More days than most too in the beginning. How often do you set yourself up for success in Action Sports?

Are you one of those that has natural talent?

Or do you have to fight for every inch of progress?

We live in such a diverse world that some people have a natural talent that they are born with. It seems unfair especially to those that have to work so hard just to progress one inch in their life. But at the end of the day, if you are progressing, it doesn’t matter if it’s from natural talent or from pushing yourself to your limits, progress is progress. So it doesn’t make sense to compare yourself with others, because everyone has a starting place and an ending. Focus on yourself and the goals you have set.

At this recording, Sebastien is 16 years old and is making his dreams come true, way earlier than he ever imagined. The neat thing about Sebastien is he was born with natural riding talent. Though he still falls off his bike and breaks bones, he doesn’t let that stop him from pushing himself to the limits. When it comes to a life on social media there are a few “types” of people. 1. You might absolutely love posting all about your lifestyle and blast it to the world to see. 2. Social media is not about posting and sharing your life, but more about consuming others content and viewing the world through your personal device. 3. You want to share you social media but don’t want to post content that will portray you as “fake” or “post because you have to” and so you consume more than you post and critic those that do post more than you. 4. How long do you stick with a sponsor?

Should you sponsor hop to the best deal possible?

Or should you stick with the company you believe in?

It’s a sticky situation when it comes to changing brands. It can be a challenge and a blessing depending on how you look at it. But at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself “Does this company fit with what I am wanting to accomplish inside my career”. That is a tough answer to swallow but for the right reasons, you might find that changing companies isn’t as bad as you originally thought. However, one of the worst things you can do is sponsor hop… Just keep that in mind.

Our guest Riley Suhan is a fantastic role model when it comes to working with companies you believe in. Even if you don’t land the very best deal with that company, you can still show them that you strongly believe in their products that will pay dividends in the long run. Riley comes from a background of down hill mountain bike racing and when he transitioned to more full time snowmobile riding, he was stoked to network with some idols of his. His hard work for so many years has paid off multiple times over, and he is stoked to share his story with us on this podcast.

That is probably one of the hardest things to accomplish in this life, delaying your gratification, but David has the magic solution that helped him get where he is today.

What’s the difference between sponsorship and marketing?

Should we be asking, “What are sponsorships?”

Maybe we should know “What is marketing”.

At the end of the day what is the difference between the two? You may not like our answer to this question. As kids we dreamed of being sponsored by big companies and riding the rest of our lives as sponsored athletes. As adults we believe that sponsorships are only for the top athletes. Maybe our guest today can answer the question “What’s the difference between sponsorship and marketing?”

Kyle Smaine is the first Professional Skier that graced us with his presence to date. Sort of out of the norm but in reality he fits perfectly in with all of our other guests. He has crushed it in ski competitions and has pushed himself to raise the bar while taking home some bling from the events. I was blown away with what Kyle had to bring to the table when it comes to landing sponsors and building the best relationships inside action sports.

Do you have to be fit to ride?

Does it even matter how you fuel your body

What goes in must go out, right?

These are actual thoughts I’ve had floating between my ears. Really trying to figure out if nutrition is necessary to excel inside a respective action sport. But at the end of the day, if you feel like crap, can’t sleep right, and have twinkies sitting on your night stand, probably should look at changing a few habits that you’ve developed. (Just hide the twinkies under the bed next time!)

Stoked to have Mitch Robinson on the podcast. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the health side of the industry. I was not ready to unpack what was unpacked in this episode but we are sure glad we did! We learned more than we expected about nutrition especially how it directly impacts our passion of riding. Mitch has been in the fitness industry for many years and he is built like a tank! But don’t let the muscles fool you, this guy can lap even some of the most advanced riders on the track.

Colby shares some awesome stories about what life is like on a professional race team and how it differs between the two respective sports.

Do we idolize others in our industry?

We put some people on pedestals almost like Greek Gods.

But should we be doing this?

During our upbringing we are always looking upwards. It might have to do with the fact that everybody is bigger than we are at such young ages. Even if that may be the case, we continue to look up to specific individuals all the way into our adulthood. Some people will begin idolizing others as well. You might know somebody that does this. Open up their garage and find a shrine dedicated to that person. But the reality is, these people we idolize are just like you and me. They need to eat, sleep, breathe, and other functions of a normal person. So then why should we idolize other individuals?

We had the opportunity to sit down with Kris “Smasher” Kaltenbacher once again and learn more about his recent experience. He was stoked to share it and we were pumped he wanted to bring the news to us. So Kris gave us the first opportunity to share his experience on the podcast when he visited his home town in Alaska and shared his life experiences with others that will likely impact one if not more people. Though Kris does not like to be idolized, he is on the path to helping others change their lives, and if we idolize people that help others change their lives, maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

Have you looked around at the crew you ride with?

Do these individuals build you up? 

Or are they tearing you down.

When you find a group of friends, like the saying goes “You become like the five people you spend the most time with” (Jim Rohn) it's important to realize if this group of buddies is building you up or tearing you down. The best group of friends will always be with you pushing you to succeed. When you face hardships, they are there to support you. When you are high and crushing it, they are there celebrating your success with you. But remember that if you want to push yourself, always surround yourself with people that are better than you.

Steve Mini with Nitro Circus is a great example of pushing yourself to the next level and never giving up, no matter how many bones you break! If it isn’t apparent in the films or at the live events, Nitro Circus is a big family. Some members have been riding together for 10 years before they joined, and others are new members to the group. No matter what, you are part of a big family. So when Steve sat down and talked about his life as a Pro FMX rider and described his shift in life, it sounded very familiar to many other guests on the show.

We all have a dream career. You know, that one thing or those two things you think you could do for the rest of your life even if you don’t get paid, but you do get paid because it’s your dream career and it’s something you’ve always dreamed about doing. Now a days we hear the mantra “Land your dream job”. I believe most people don’t know what that even looks like until they are actually living it. And today’s guest, though he may be younger than you think, is living his dream career.

Taylar Anderson Davies, spends his winters at Grizzly Lodge in B.C. and his winters in the Yukon. Both are guiding careers. Both are dream careers that he worked hard to make a reality even at a young age. We love hearing stories like Taylars. The grit and grind that it takes and the “Never say die” attitude is what helped him land these positions. Today’s podcast is a good lesson everybody can take notes on and get stoked for what they can accomplish if we dedicate our energy to make it a reality.

 The success in the industry when it comes to landing sponsors is a two way street. Though we can sign up on an awesome deal that gets us discounts on gear or parts, the relationships need to be built so you can help the companies grow and ultimately help the industry grow. It is important to give back to those that are supporting you because you never know what doors can open up.

Our guest today has figured this out years ago and now works with a company that was once a sponsor is now an employer. Logan Huff, a pro ATV Racer is crushing it on the track and also when it comes to building relationships. In his words, “Moving the needle” is not easy but it can be done when you focus your attention to building that relationship with your sponsors. From wrenching to selling, Logan moved his career from a shop at a dealership to a manufacturer, FASST Company to be exact. And he has never been happier.

How do you go on when you are dealt with a big blow?

Your audience on your social media is a key source to aid you when you are looking to land sponsorship deals. The types of audiences you have and what you do with them is always watched by others learning more about you and your brand. But more than that, if you want to be sponsored, you will be representing more than yourself, you will be representing those that trust you as the face of the brand. This is why brands have ambassadors and athletes. So it seems to matter how you interact with your audience on a regular basis. 

When we found Shredder Dad, or Andy Messner as many know him, we were stoked to hear he was willing to be a guest on the podcast. With a good following on his social media, Andy has learned that connections are key to be successful. But beyond making the initial connection, he found himself relatable to those that are reaching out. It gives any individual the sense of accomplishment when you make an impact on another person's life. What kind of people are you surrounded by?
 

Do you choose your friends carefully?

Jim Rohn said “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”
 

So the question comes down to if this is really important or not. Surrounding yourself with like minded people, or people that make you feel slightly uncomfortable because they seem to be on another level. Hopefully you use discretion and make sure that level is above the level at which you are currently residing. If you have never attempted a backflip but you hang out with people that back flip regularly, do you think that you will eventually learn how to backflip?
 

Liam Dhillon comes on the podcast with some great insight when it comes to choosing your friends. Liam is very “calculated” when it comes to his riding skills. He seems to know how to hit every jump, climb every hill, drop every cliff effortlessly, and he shares how he does it! And when it comes to his friends or those that he keeps in his circle, he is very calculated in that regard as well. If you are striving to succeed in Action Sports like Liam has and desires, you will find out quickly that you can achieve faster success when you surround yourself with individuals that are similar to you.

Do we write our own destiny?

Some people seem to have more advantages than others, so do we choose who we are?

And he has made it a big part of his life!

The roads we travel will always have pot holes, speed bumps, cliffs on one side or the other, snowy conditions, high winds, or slow moving traffic in front of you. Depending on where you are in your life will determine how you let these obstacles you face control you. Choosing how you will react to these obstacles speak volumes to the type of person you currently are, but do not dictate the person you will become.

There are thousands of companies inside Action Sports. All have their own uniqueness to them and each one wants to have the most exposure so at the end of the day, they convert more people to their products or brand. 

When it comes to the larger companies, like Skidoo, they have a budget large enough to seek out individuals to help them push and promote their products and ultimately their brand. Tony Jenkins is a Skidoo Ambassador for the last 8 years as of this episode. The journey to become an ambassador wasn't typical. Though in Tony's case, it was unique and makes total sense of why he was selected.

From a young age, Tony was passionate about riding snowmobiles and dirt bikes. When it comes to training and fitness, where do you stand? Sometimes it seems that we focus on only one part of training in our lives and forget that when we do crash and burn, we need to recover, and recover quickly to get back up and keep going. When it comes to your body, you cannot afford to skip out on the opportunity to better yourself. Putting the time in the gym or at a fitness facility, or even in your basement if you have the right equipment is crucial to your well being. Too often we see people injure themselves and do not properly recover to their fullest and end their careers. Some injuries are not fixable, but for the majority, we can work hard and do our best both outside training and inside the gym.

We all know brands that started out small, maybe in somebody's garage or a grandmother's basement and today are a monster of a company that you see in every dealership or mom and pop shop. Andy White joins us on the podcast to share more insight of his life. This man is fueled by passion for racing on 2 wheels, primarily dirt bikes. From racing to managing KTM, marketing, consulting, business owner, and brand manager for FXR, Andy is the first to tell you that it takes a lot of hard work to land in all of those positions. To do anything right takes time and effort, especially if you want to make it a career.

We are stoked to have a legend like Brett on the podcast today. With a background of racing basically Brett's entire life, he had so much to share about his life's lessons. We are more than thrilled to share some of them in this episode!

Brett is a Canadian hailing from British Columbia. Like so many athletes in the Motorsports Industry, he started out on a dirtbike and progressed from there. Canada is known for it's long winters and it was clear that Brett would be passionate about riding snowmobiles. A cool little fact about Brett Turcotte, while racing SnoCross, he actually raced against The Action Sports Club founder Aaron Fraser. Years later, Brett is here on the podcast to tell us more about his relationships he built because of racing and competing on a snowmobile.

When it comes to landing sponsors, Brett has shown what it takes. When the question is asked to most people "What is the #1 company you want to be sponsored by?", Monster Energy is always on the list multiple times! Brett's story about how he landed that sponsor is not typical by any means. But you will have to listen to the podcast to find out how it happened!

Social media has become one of, if not the number one source companies use when they are searching for talent in Action Sports. Not only do they consume social media, but they are watching how enthusiasts and athletes alike present themselves when they are not in the spotlight. This can be challenging for many individuals, and you may feel that posting pictures or videos may not be your true authentic self. 

Max Gerston is a great example we can all follow after. With his authentic self, and pushing for progression, Max does well to make sure his sponsors know he is grateful on and off the podium. Social media has consumed our lives. So when you have the opportunity like Max does to create awesome videos of racing, training, and having a good time with fellow racers, it's not a surprise to see his social media account doing so well.

Though Max is doing well, finding himself on the podium and creating a great following, he still believes he can do more. Recently he has teamed up with a few companies taking on new careers to increase his knowledge and push himself even further. Surrounding yourself with like minded people can either get you into some serious trouble, or wild success. It's like the saying goes, "You are the company you keep". So if you surround yourself with other athletes and compete and push themselves to break boundaries and push the limitations on what we believe to be reality, it's likely your skills will increase as a result. 

Jadian Pfaff didn't grow up racing, but she had family that did race and loved the racing lifestyle! Spending so many winter seasons on the slopes of Jackson Hole, watching gutsy people rip up the mountain as fast as possible, it's not surprising that Jadian had to try it out herself.

Today we seem to push ourselves to our limits in Action Sports. From bigger drops in the backcountry, to breaking speed records on the salt flats. It seems that within the last few centuries, we are striving to go bigger and go farther. 

Our guest today has pushed himself to the limits, and he has been recognized as one of the best backcountry snowmobile freerider. Geoff Kyle kicked off his career and passion for the backcountry 30 years ago! Through his own determination, resilience, and many injuries, Geoff keeps pushing himself so he can enjoy what mother nature has to offer.

I sat down with Geoff to learn more about his journey inside Action Sports. In this episode, I expect many individuals to be surprised when they hear about his story teaming up with Slednecks, a snowmobile film company. But I wasn't surprised of how much fun it was to sit down with Geoff and have a good time. He has the knowledge of working with a number of companies, which has aided him when he created MTN MOTO, his guide company in Whistler B.C.

One sport that has always caught my eye is Endurocross. The terrain and obstacles are so challenging plus there is the feeling of Arenacross mixed in to give it a little flare. The sport is just so fascinating to watch!

Nick Thompson has competed in Motocross and transitioned over to Endurocross to continue his progression and passion for riding on two wheels. Raised in a small town in Utah, Nick has pushed himself to compete in every fashion. When talking with Nick you can sense his fire towards getting better and better each time he swings his leg over the seat.

After my interview with Rich Larson, I really wanted to chat with Nick for the very reason he shares on the podcast. In my opinion, he is one of the top riders in Endurocross here in the United States. The guy is an animal! I mean he wakes up early enough that while everybody else is at the gym, he is riding his dirt bike, always pushing himself to become better.

Dreams do come true! But they don't come true unless you set yourself up for them to come true! You know the story of Pinocchio, an old man wanted a son, he made a puppet, wished and dreamed for it to become real, then POOF! A magic fairy turns the wooden puppet into a live creature! Wow what a dream come true!

The point is, you have to take the steps towards your dreams and do whatever it takes to obtain your dreams. Our guest had a dream, but what came true wasn't quite what she had expected! Stef is a great example that dreams come true when you are doing everything right and you are persistent. 

We've mentioned how some people seem to be overnight success stories but in reality their journey is long and strenuous! From the outside, it looks like Stef just magically became an Ambassador for one of the largest snowmobile companies, but that couldn't be farther from the truth! Stef's story is not typical, and no she was not raised riding sleds, in fact she shares how that happened! She is a great guest and we are excited to share her story with all of you!

Today's guest, Bridger LaBau is a newly sponsored backcountry Athlete for Castle X Snow gear. With his love of the outdoors, it was easy for Bridger to realize he needed support to continue fueling his passion for riding his snowmobile. We all know that our hobbies can get expensive, so why not get as much help as possible? At least that is what Bridger believes.

We have all seen films that are 10 minutes long or even longer, not realizing how much time and effort went into the actual filming of those segments. We miss the bloopers, the mistakes, the crashes, the burns, and the "Oh crap my battery died!" moments. But in the end, we are grateful somebody took the time, energy, and somebody put forth the effort to make these films come to life.

Finding himself in a dilemma, his family began working on their own suspension for their snowmobiles, only for it to turn into a lifelong passion and career.

We all love watching extreme sports. It is captivating to watch somebody fly through the air performing some amazing tricks that, let's be honest, a majority of the spectators do not know the name of the trick. But we still love to watch those performers do their best and keep pushing themselves.

Today's guest is a top athlete that pushes himself each winter on his snowmobile. Andy Thomas works and trains during the spring, summer, and fall time so when winter comes, he is ready to beat his own personal accomplishments. Snowmobile hill climbs are intense races that an individual starts at the bottom of the hill, most of the time on a ski slope, then races against the clock to make it to the top as quickly as possible. A weekend long competition, and it doesn't get any easier as others try to accomplish the same task.

Many know his name and have given him the nickname The GOAT! Cody Webb is a true legend when it comes to the world of Extreme Enduro!

Raised in a home where riding was a normal and regular activity, Cody was raised to ride motorcycles first, bicycles second. He still keeps that rule in effect 30 years later! Mom and Dad raised Cody to love the sport. When it was time for Dad to step back and focus on his son, that is when you really see things to change in the Webb family.

Cody is also very traditional when it comes to landing sponsorships. The good reliable results really help land many deals, turning passions into careers. We are back with part 2 of this episode!

We split up this episode because Cody has so much insight when it comes to sponsorships and making deals happen. In episode 1 we learn more about Cody's character and how he holds himself to certain standards. In part 2 Cody breaks down more about the actual sponsorships and some fun stories about landing sponsorship deals.

Sponsorships are not always easy to land. Plus when you do land a sponsorship, you have just taken on an obligation to help that company grow and expand. To be the best-sponsored individual in all of Action Sports, you must understand that partnership and consistently cultivate that relationship, while helping sell more products or services as a trade for the sponsorship deal. 

Here at the Action Sports Club, we have been through working closely with companies, inside and outside, and we strive to create the best program to help anybody looking to become sponsored, grow their sponsorship deals, or become the ultimate sponsored athlete.
