Kristina Brummer and I introduce our Grow Mastermind for Women Entrepreneurs. This recording came about after a pause in recordings at the end of the year, it started off as a conversation with my friend, collaborator, and co-host, Kristina Brummer, and it became one of my most favorite episodes that have been recorded.

Kristina must have sensed that it would be special, and she told me to hit record during our conversation.

What if we used these winter months to call forward what we want? To not go blazing into the year like a lean, mean action machine? As my husband likes to say, mornings are for coffee and contemplation (thank you, Stranger Things). January should be our contemplative month.

We talk about grief, process, growth, and acknowledging that we want some new things. We are not going to should all over ourselves with resolutions, but we will proclaim what we want with our reflection and intentions.

Amy M. Le is a Vietnam War survivor and CHD warrior. She was born in Vietnam nine months before the fall of Saigon and immigrated to the United States in 1980 at the age of five with her mother and cousin. Her family was among the hundreds of thousands of boat people who fled Vietnam after the Vietnam War. They were sponsored to Seattle, WA and made a life for themselves in the Pacific Northwest. Amy graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in
Sociology and worked in the technology and telecommunications sector for twenty years. After her mother's death in February 2017, Amy left her corporate career to write her debut novel SNOW IN VIETNAM as a tribute to her mother's heroic decision to flee their homeland. Her Snow trilogy are historical and women’s fiction novels based on her family’s life and are available through independent bookstores and online retailers. Today, Amy is a full-time writer living in Oklahoma with
her husband and son. She owns Quill Hawk Publishing and helps emerging authors indie-publish their work. She is also co-founder of The Heart Community Collection, a resource for the Congenital Heart Defect community.

Her latest writing project was as one of the authors in the book, Asian Women Trailblazers Who Boss Up book, which profiles 16 Asian women who have broken the bamboo ceiling to blaze a trail for themselves. My Life Changed When I Found My Family - Karen Huck

During that time she searched for her biological family for 16 years without internet. She found them at the age of 40 and found 4 siblings and her father. How to Build A Community by Sharing Your Work - Pamela Bates

She has a pivot tale to tell. At 49 she found her passion, and she didn't know it was missing. She walked into the Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, and saw the painting, El Jaleo by John Singer Sargent and she could feel it in her soul. The calling of the paint and the brush were already inside, she just hadn't heard it until that day.

Since that moment Pam has been painting, painting, painting, she can't get enough and it lights her up. She shares her painting magic on Instagram and her authenticity shines through. Stacey Birch is the founder of the travel blog "Hot Flashes and Boarding Passes" as well as the Instagram account of the same name. She is a travel blogger that has loved to travel. She turned that passion into her creative pivot and started of the year in Bali at the Institute of Code to learn all about how to code and create her own website. As Stacey says on her site, "I'm a witty, mid lifer, who is here to help you ladies discover that it's never too late to grab a hold of those boarding passes and get out there - hot flashes and all! I'm absolutely travel obsessed, with a passion for all things Mexico. I am here to guide and inspire you, whether you'd like to travel solo, or come away with ME on one of my epic midlife retreat's."

Stacey shows up in the most authentic way on social media and is currently living her best life in Tulum, MEXICO, where she is helping rescue dogs, assisting with photo sessions, coaching on social media, and planning a retreat for some time in 2021.

In addition to being a NAPO trained professional organizer she holds an MBA in Sustainability from Northeastern University. Angie is a Calligraphy & Lettering Artist based in Ontario, Canada. At the age of 12, she taught herself Calligraphy using a Speedball Calligraphy kit that her sisters bought her as a birthday gift. She practiced & enjoyed calligraphy for many years. Eventually, her life got busy with a demanding nursing career and a busy young family. In 2017 she set out on a creative healing journey, & after putting her practice on the back burner, picked up her pen again & has been lettering on anything & everything since. She spends her time, when not working her day job, enthusiastically teaching calligraphy & lettering to others.

Oswald and I met as many do these days online. We were both fans of Don’t Keep Your Day Job, and took on the challenge of the Made To Do This 12 week course in early 2020.

Oswald has grown so much as a person and as a writer this year, stepping out of his comfort zone and taking on this challenging year, we discuss his emotional journey.

Today, October 27, he is releasing his e-book called, A Poetic Journey, Staying at Home, that documents this journey. His poetry touches on how Covid has impacted his life this year, as well as his life with Cerebral Palsy, and memories from his childhood. After experiencing burnout, dealing with a traumatic family event and seeing the pandemic wreak havoc on her family, friends, coworkers and students' families she started Self Care Commune to help heal herself and help all those around her to focus on adding more self-care to their daily lives. Her goal is to put more positivity out into the world.
