This podcast will focus on encouraging as many people as I can to begin or continue to pursue lifelong health and total body wellness. We will shift our focus away from treating our pursuit of health like a get rich quick scheme, and put serious forethought into crafting a personalized plan that will work in our unique situations (the "RE-Build"). By treating lifelong health as an ongoing project and not an end itself, we will encourage each other to constantly revisit successes and evaluate our progress, even when we think we've "made it" based on previously stated goals. The fact of the matter is that we all are capable of stretching our comfort zones much farther than we think we can, especially at the beginning of a journey as daunting as one whose goal is to reclaim our health. We will also encourage each other to stride forward on our own paths, rather than cajoling each other to pursue some strategy that happens to have worked for us. This podcast sprung from my attempt to lose half of my highest bodyweight of 340 pounds (reached - if you can call it that - in August of 2019). I hope people are supportive of my successes and encouraged by my transparency when I fall short of my goals. Time to get out our grease pencils and sketch pads and build our dream lives - together!
