Prevalence:

UTIs are one of the most common types of bacterial infections, and they affect millions of people worldwide each year.
Women are more prone to UTIs because their urethra is shorter, allowing bacteria to reach the bladder more easily. Sexual activity, pregnancy, and menopause can also increase the risk.
UTIs are less common in men, but they can occur, especially in older men or those with urinary tract abnormalities or catheters.

Symptoms:
