Hiii my friends, sorry these episodes are always dropped so spastically, but so is life. When I say I'm in the THICK of it I mean it. With a 7 year old, a 1.5 year old and a new puppy life is crazy these days. IN this episode I express my gratitude for each and every one of you who is sticking by my side and listening when you get the chance. I also chat about the difficulties of our new puppy and the unexpected health issues that came with it, I also talk about throwing out all my "strict" rules I had as a parent from when Sawyer was little and that I go with the flow more with Sasha. Oh HI, I went a couple months without recording, Sorry about that! But Im happy to be back today, Im happy to tell you I plan to be back more often...Hopefully! having two kids is hard, going through postpartum is hard, shit I've had a hard year so far, but Im  making progress and thats all that matters. If your up for it this week I get real vulnerable and tell you about how motherhood is getting to me emotionally, Im overstimulated every day, I don't feel like myself and on the off chance I do feel ok, I then look in the mirror and I get reminded of what I look like and its not what I thought. Motherhood is hard, don't get that mistaken for me being ungrateful, Im very happy to be a mom I don't regret that at all but I can still think its hard and I can still complain about it! Well I meant to be back more consistently but here I am back after another long break. Life is wild with two kids, I never feel like I can think straight, all I want is some peace and quiet or like just to watch a movie in peace, but thats not my phase of life at the moment. But honestly things are good, we are finding our new normal. I do think my mental health has taken a little bit of a hit, Im not experiencing PPD but I feel more emotional and a little bit of rage this time around. Im a work in progress and I have a lot to work on!

Im back after having my second baby, I tell my birth story of how it went this time around. It was completely different and not what I had imagined but it ended up perfectly! Sawyer is beyond happy to finally be a big sister and we are all adjusting to the new addition. I know it isnt fun to hear some day these things about themselves but its the reality of what happens when you are on a journey of trying to stick with something new. Its been 5 months of adding in consistent exercise and I've been feeling pretty down lately that im not seeing the changes I wish I would see. Then I tell a fun story how my toddler didnt help situation while I was trying on a bathing suit, now I know she didn't mean to do it but it doesn't mean it didn't hurt any less. But someone told me once "when it rains its pours but then you have to look for the rainbow" so thats what I'm doing, Im looking for the rainbow! I hope if you are feeling anything similar you can look for the rainbow as well!

This week I talk about how I went to a completely rejuvenating GONG bath, it was like a meditative sound bath that gets you in the most relaxed mood and just helps you to clear your mind, which lead me to my 30 day self challenge! I am going to be waking up everyday for 30 days and going to the gym before my husband goes to work, I am making time for me and for what I need, it wont be easy its going to be a challenge, its going to be one of the harder things I've done and Im excited to see how I feel at the end! this week I catch you up on whats felt like a whirlwind of a couple weeks. Ive been an emotional wreck for a while, so dealing with new feelings and stages of infertility is always rough, but im getting through it one day at a time. Then Luis hit a string of bad luck which they say " when it rains it pours" but for us it's felt like a constant drizzle of stuff. Luis had to take some time off work because of en injury so we got a week of having dad home and we had a lot of fun, I really appreciated our week of family time. We also went to the Great Wolf Lodge for the first and let me tell you its basically little Vegas for kiddos, its a WILD time!

This is one of those weeks where you look forward to something and your like great Im prepared for this and then somehow you over sleep and your rushing to get your shit together, ya this is one of those weeks. I showed up late to a very important drs appointment and it sent me into some I couldn't help it. I went to see my dr. to get my referral to an infertility specialist, so hopefully we are on the right path to knowing more about what is going on. The Sawyer plays with the some boys at a park and ends up falling off a tired swing, sooo yeah great day for all us, obviously.

Because she really wants us to have cabin in the woods one day she wants to make money, so I asked her to start feeding the dogs twice daily and ill give her 50 cents, now lets seeee how long this will last. I also confess a mom fail I've been having with trying to get Sawyer into a Sport, I just can't seem to get my self together to sign her up or sign up on time.

On this weeks episode I vent about an argument Luis and I had, Im not venting to complain about him, Im more complaining about myself and how I cant get my words out how I think they should come out, so that the words are a conversation and not an argument. I want to be understanding but I also need to ask for help but Im not voicing properly the type of help I need. I come to the conclusion I might be projecting some insecurities. Hello!! On this weeks episode i talk all about our road trip and how well sawyer did and how we ran into a little hiccup but we recovered and made it to our destinations. Sawyer and I made fun memories and it also gave me a new perspective on how it feels to be the sole protector, I didn't realize how much i depended on my husband to do that and on this trip I was solo and I had to do it. It felt like reaching a new level in my parenting. I also was pretty jealous Luis got to have some much needed alone time, I know he deserved it but i was jealous it wasn't me! In other news my birthday is Friday and I'm feeling kind if blah about it all, i think it'll be fun but for some reason I'm not feeling my normal excitement.

Hello!! On this weeks episode I chat about our camping trip, it was sooo good for the soul for us all to be out with nature. Hello!! On this weeks episode I am extremely emotional, it took me a week longer than normal to get my thoughts together for this episode and I still ended up crying almost the whole time. Luis and I have been struggling to get pregnant for the second time and its coming up on two years and I just can't believe we haven't gotten pregnant and I cant understand why my body isn't working the way its supposed to. Its the hardest thing I've had to go through emotionally and I don't know how to talk about it and I've been pushing it down for a long time. Infertility is no joke, its such an emotional tole. This is definitely one of my most vulnerable episodes yet, it isn't for the faint of heart.

We did do some fun activities like swim in a pool every day and go to a petting zoo and to some really cool caves. I also got some toasty red shoulders. Our trip was an experience I'll never forget.

But we headed to the ER on memorial day weekend because sawyer had a form of pink eye. She was so irritated and uncomfortable I had to get her some help and the ER was what we choose to do for our situation. But let me tell you the ER is not a fun place to be and I hope we do not have to go there anytime soon again! She's all better now and back to her old happy self.

Hello!! In this weeks episode I chat about how our weekend didn't quite go as planned but then it ended up being fate for the way it turned out. I met a completely random mom at the park and she mentioned to me that she gives her kid melatonin to help him sleep and let me tell you I could have hugged her hearing that! I do that with Sawyer and I felt guilty about it but this mom has no idea how much that made me feel joy knowing I was NOT alone in doing that!! Its nice to hear your not alone even if the other person has no idea.  This stage of Sawyer wanting to sleep in our bed is rough, its a complete love hate thing. One day it'll be over and I'm sure ill miss it- at least thats what they tell me.

Hello!! In this weeks episode I talk about whats its like when you as the parent get sick and your kid just cant understand because they are a kid and they need taken care of. I got the 24 hour flu and it was terrible, luckily I asked for help from my husband and dad; and that was a big deal for me because I NEVER ask for help. Then the next day Sawyer got the 24 hour flu and it was so sad, kids being sick is also the worst, so we had a weeeeeek.

This year was different because we had just gone through something a little traumatic and i was a little more on edge but it was different from the past years I was putting a strong face for sawyer and accepting her extra cuddles, but by the end of it I was completely touched out! I was happy to be there for sawyer but I needed some ME time by the end of it.

This week I talk about sawyers first day at preschool, it was the sweetest thing and also a little heart wrenching as a momma, she walked in with so much confidence (proud mama) and didnt even look back she said see ya later and she was gone (sad mama). The teacher told us she fit in perfectly, it was the sweetest thing! But whoa I have a kid in school now, like where did the time go?!?!

He is so ambitious and does a really good job at staying focused when he wants to be and he encourages me to more efficient. He also gave me some wise words once "the sun comes up for everyone, it only matters to you what you do with it".
