• Education, advertising or content? Know the difference. Promoting healthcare products and services is regulated, and that includes content someone else created for you.
• Running a full-scope clinic? Promote the service, not the product. Talk about the consultation or the condition you're treating, not the medicine used to treat it.
• Launching something new? Understand what can actually be advertised. The rules for health claims differ across foods, cosmetics and therapeutic goods.

 “Any media is advertising. A poster on your wall, a post on your Facebook page, the same rules apply to both.”

Sarah is a registered pharmacist and Program Convenor of the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacist Prescribing at the University of Newcastle and has led the prescribing trials across NSW and ACT. Marissa is actively involved in the Older Persons Medication Management Pilot Project, a collaboration between Northern Queensland Primary Health Network and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, aimed at enhancing medication safety for older Australians. She is also engaged in research initiatives like the ACTMED trial, focusing on medication safety improvements in primary care.

Kenneth began his career as a community pharmacist, working at a busy metropolitan pharmacy before his interest in technology led him to building new clinical systems for a large pharmacy chain in Australia. From there, Kenneth has worked across multiple products ranging from digital health mobile apps, eCommerce marketplaces, booking systems and SaaS clinical workflow tools for health professionals.

Kenneth is a keen innovator with an interest in the start-up and entrepreneur network of Australia. He attended PharmHack, Australia's first ever pharmacy hackathon at Fishburners, Sydney, where he recruited a team with an original idea and emerged as a finalist amongst 11 teams, presenting in front of healthtech industry leaders.

Deni holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) from the University of Newcastle and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Pharmacy Practice from the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA). She has also completed specialised training in inclusive care, including “Supporting the Trans & Gender Diverse Community” by Minus18 and PSA’s “Deadly Pharmacist Training” to support culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Her professional mission is clear: to ensure that every patient - regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural background - feels seen, respected, and supported within the healthcare system.

In 2024, Deni co-founded Queer Pharmacists of Australia, a national Facebook group that provides a safe and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ pharmacy professionals to connect, collaborate, and advocate for better healthcare outcomes. She graduated with a B.Pharm in 2009 from La Trobe University in Bendigo and in her final year of study was awarded the Pharmacy Student of the Year for Victoria. Most recently she was a Finalist in the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Allied Health.

Over the past 4 years, Brooke has been privileged to play her role as the medication expert at Ontario Medical Clinic as their GP Pharmacist.
