Before coming to Wake Forest, he worked at the University of Kansas and Oklahoma State University. In addition to his collegiate work, Murphy has worked with professional sports teams, the Navy SEALS, the Biggest Loser television show, and several Orthopedic and Physical Therapy clinics around the country.  With his vast knowledge in sports medicine, sports performance, and aquatic therapy, he has been a lecturer at several medical, performance, and aquatic-based seminars.
