From there, we discuss why the more our world rejects Christianity, the more it risks losing some of the very things that have brought hope, dignity and goodness to society.

We also revisit Sonia's story and have an honest conversation about sleep deprivation, mental health struggles, and Laura's own experience with insomnia. We talk about the reality that Christians are not immune to seasons of exhaustion, anxiety, or suffering, and why biblical lament is such an important practice during those times.

Throughout this episode, we keep coming back to one simple truth: there is no self-sufficiency in Christianity. In fact, nothing in all of creation was designed to sustain itself. The only way we can be spiritually sustained is by remaining close to God.

Even though Rebekah always knew she was adopted, loved and cherished by her adopted parents, she shares how she quietly wrestled with feelings of rejection and a deep curiosity about her birth parents. Eventually, she decided to search for them, hoping it might bring some of the answers she had been looking for. But, finding her birth mother didn't fix everything.

We talk about the reality of navigating that relationship, the season where she lost her way, searching for answers through a psychic, and how God radically changed her life. Chantelle grew up in New Zealand, came to know and love Jesus from a young age, and genuinely wanted to honour Him with her life. In Part 1, Stacy shares what it was like growing up with drug-dealing parents - but still in a loving home. Despite that, her teenage years quickly spiralled into rebellion. At just fifteen, she found herself pregnant and facing a decision she never imagined she would have to make. Stacy talks about telling her parents, seeing her baby on the ultrasound, and the circumstances that led her to believe abortion was her only option.

Fast forward to recent years, when Stacy - now grown, married, and a Mum of four - was unexpectedly present at a family member’s abortion, revisiting the trauma she experienced at 15 and witnessing the heartbreaking reality of abortion again.

For two years, one team member devoted himself to searching through Google Maps and walking the streets until he finally found her and was able to orchestrate her rescue from her abusers.

I’ll share a bit of my own story too (including nightmares and sleep paralysis), unpack what this movie is really saying about demons, and look at how we can answer the big questions kids might ask: Can demons love? Do they have powers? Could a Christian be possessed?
