HEAVENLY WIT MONDAY | BROKENNESS OVERTAKEN BY WHOLENESS

On today's Heavenly Wit Monday, there are so many things that distract us. Even as we pray for freedom for others, we forget we need freedom ourselves. The triggers of life are not meant for us to just be triggered and attempt to keep going broken and bitter; this will never allow a life of forwardness in Christ.

Instead it's allowing the triggers of this life to notify us of what we get to surrender to Jesus. The One who causes us to be radiant with joy as revealed in Psalm 34:5.

These times when things surface in us, those are the precursors to freedom and breakthrough from slavery to the bondages and breakthrough to Jesus Who is our Freedom! We get to surrender the fractures; the broken places to see God minister His peace that makes every broken place become made whole; makes every crooked place straight in Him; and causes the dry places to flourish with living waters of Who He is.

He's not scared of our weaknesses for one bit...he loves to take our weaknesses; our inabilities; and those things we aren't good at so that HE can perhaps says something like, "I know...but be a witness of what I do through you!"

I received this amazing, incredible, fantastic, magnificent revelation today and let's just say I'm in awe of GOD.

So whenever we are creating things, when creativity is flowing through us, whether it seems significant or not; how often can we become critical of ourselves and what has been created? In that, I know this thought came from the LORD as I was led back to the beginning, in Genesis. After everything GOD created, HE said, "It is GOOD."

With that reminder, HE shared with me, every time you finish a painting, every time you finish an illustration, or a literary work - I want you to look at it and tell it, "It is good!"

This is another expression of how to love GOD with our everything so we can love ourselves and in turn love others as ourselves. Once we see the value of GOD in us; we can then value others as well.

Also on today's episode, I share about a U.S. Veteran and his family who are in great need of GOD and HIS miraculous power and presence as Erik Benson suffers from TBI and PTSD after being hit by a roadside IUD and as he was in the vehicle, he suffered major brain injury.

That's how it all started; a few weeks later I receive a generous package with tons of earrings; then the next thing we know is that Jessica is making plans to come out to Austin from North Carolina for "Happy Hour Live" with Jamie Ivey.

With all that said, today it was our first time meeting one another in person and there was that Holy Spirit connection like we've known each other all of our lives. To hear the redemptive story of GOD's faithfulness in the midst of unfaithfulness is nothing short of powerful.

However, here is where people like us can go wrong really fast. We end up living a life not being offended for ourselves; but for others. It’s a life lived with SECOND offenses. It’s yet again another trap of distraction. This is something that we must be so intentional with GOD over as we tend to see all perspectives, but so often to a fault.

Have you seen a satellite view of a map from space? From that view you can zoom in so close to where you can see the physical building of the address you entered on the search. It's so close that now you can see the actual house or building.

The same goes with prayer. For instance, when you pray for your city, what do you imagine? For me, when I pray, I usually pray this general prayer over my city, casually seeing the silhouette of the city's skyscrapers; slow moving cars in major traffic, and sidewalks filled with groups of people.

I love how the Hebrew alphabet also has numerical value. For instance, the Hebrew letter "He" is the numerical value of 5, which is the divine breath of GOD.

When I began to learn this, it made me think of even the name change over Sarai and Abram. When GOD changed their names to Sarah and Abraham; the "H" was what I would like to believe as that HIM breathing on them; the Divine Breath of GOD entered their situation and soon came Isaac, the promised one.

THE JOY OF THE LORD!

Declaring today that our God, the One to Whom we must cling to and receive newness of life from moment by moment; may this reminder be such a refreshing power this morning.

In Jesus mighty name God’s goodness causes me to look to Him when the distractions beg and vie for my focus.

God causes us to remain in Him and by default we are above and not beneath; the head and not the tail. His tender mercies, not just mercies, but TENDER mercies are new today, right now even as I speak and write.

Think of this popular saying, it’s become a cliche, a phrase we see on home decor, yet it’s so powerful that I would have to speculate it causes the earth to shake in agreement! It’s none other than the promise, “The Joy of the LORD is Your Strength”. Just imagine, this was proclaimed when the many people who gathered to hear Ezra, The Priest and Scribe, read the Word of God, that such conviction caused them to have such sorrow; YET GOD said through Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the Priest and Scribe, and the Levites, “Hush! stop your crying. Don’t be sad and dejected for TODAY is a sacred day! Go and celebrate with rich foods and sweet drink and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared; this is a sacred day! Don’t be dejected and sad for the Joy of the LORD is your Strength!”

Just think, in Christ, our high priest proclaims this even more to us as everyday is a sacred day, wow! The more we pour out from His supply; the more refreshed we become as His promise declares, “Those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed and those who are generous will prosper.”

Yet again, God’s Faithful promises are our Armor and Protection; as HE IS our Armor and Protector! His presence that is EVER PRESENT; so near, so surrounding that you can’t get away from Him!

The LORD bestow, grant, place on you His everlasting joy in Jesus name! Joy that permeates to where peace of Who He is causes there to be evidence even in your physical bodies and mind in Jesus name!

God and God alone! There is no one like Him...generations from your lineage proclaim that to the end of the age until Christ returns! In order for this to happen, we must proclaim it with such Joy to our children so they always remember and proclaim to their children! Yes LORD!

Joy of the LORD lifts the heavy weight of sadness and dejection.

REVEALINGS OF THE WORD WITH HOLY SPIRIT:

Psalm 63:8; Romans 2:4; Deuteronomy 28:13; Nehemiah 8; Psalm 71:15-24; Deuteronomy 6, specifically 6:6-9

LET’S TALK:

* Do you see how the Joy of the Lord is to be lived out with such power?

* It’s to make a glorious spectacle of Who He is.

* How has the passage from Nehemiah 8 opened your eyes to seeing God and even every day?

* Do you see it as now sacred? The Word of God that Ezra scribed and proclaimed caused repentance to rest on all the people. It was God’s goodness the people were being reminded of that caused such conviction to fall; yet the conviction wasn’t to make them feel condemned; on the contrary, it was to see how powerful God’s mercies are so they cling to God and His truth even more. Not to take it for granted but to live it out with such grateful awe!

I talk about praying from a position of being above and not beneath. No longer praying from a place of panic or as though GOD is playing "catch up"; but praying by faith knowing "IT IS FINISHED"! Have you heard that well known cliche, "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven"? I have and I've even said it...quite often! There's even a bumper sticker for it. Until years ago as I heard that quote, I realized, there's great responsibility to our received forgiveness from GOD. Think of the woman at the feet of Jesus, she poured it all out. She abandoned her so-called "dignity", of what she had left and left it all on HIM because she received the forgiveness of her sin as that very gift that was placed on her destroyed every bit of shame. Yet even in that forgiveness, it didn't cause her to make excuses of her imperfections; instead it made her aware of the divine responsibility that JESUS pointed out that day to all those who witnessed her act of love for HIM. He spoke, as recorded in Luke 7:36-50, "She loves much because she was forgiven of much."

Today, I discuss this along with some other things that perhaps will cause you to see hurts and injuries that we have either experienced from others or that we have placed upon others. Holy Spirit was definitely speaking to me and I pray that you are encouraged as well.

A couple days ago while at a dear friend's daughter's wedding, I met this wonderful woman named Deb. As we spoke I found out she was from Iowa and was in for the weekend to attend the wedding of our mutual friends and realizing she was the American family to the bride's father who is from Columbia. As Deb and I continued to converse, she handed me her business card while briefly sharing her family's incredible faith story and a foundation her son had started. I was in awe of GOD and this family to where I just had to ask, "Will you be a special guest on my show and come to my studio?" Without hesitation she said, "Yes!"

As she came to the studio the next day, this interview/conversation with Deb was incredibly empowering and I thought to myself afterward, "Everyone needs to have a Deb in their lives as she pointed me back to the Father in such a powerful way." To hear the story of her son, Chris Norton and the determination of this entire family was nothing short of amazing! I believe first we need to realize that we do live by faith, but many times it's that misplaced kind of faith. We have "faith" that things will get worse when we get surprised with the circumstances of life. We have "faith" that GOD won't come through...we have "faith" that what other people say has more power that GOD. So what is that really? It's doubt. It takes misconstrued faith to doubt. So why do we default to doubt? Human nature? Well yes...but why do we have more faith in our human nature than in GOD's nature to come through?

That's what I get to talk about on today's "Flipping the Script Monday"!
