Ep. 135: Cain v Abel. The start of Mahanism in the Family of Man.

Thu, 27 Aug 2026 12:00:00 -0600

Lucifer cannot create anything new; as such, he is not a god of life. In order for life to flourish, within the bounds of our known universe, all created things must interact with one another based on the laws set down by the law-giver, our Great Father in the Heavens. We will see that this is particularly true in the conflict of Cain and Abel. Satan parasitical nature is the start of Mahanism, which is the curse that still affects our lives today.

Ep. 134: The Gospel from the Beginning

Fri, 15 May 2026 03:00:00 -0600

One of the great truths of the Restoration is that all of the ordinances necessary for a child of God to complete the path of salvation has been available and frequently taught from the beginning. The rags of scripture that we have left paint the illusion that God has been playing some type of game with Lucifer, and that we are the pawns. Nothing could be further from the truth. Where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is clearly taught, all of Lucifer’s lies work toward man’s good to prove and stretch us. For this reason, the Gospel was plainly taught in the beginning to Adam. Now that is not to say that God did a massive brain dump on Adam, and his righteous posterity, all at once. No, the gospel was revealed as it is revealed now, line-upon-line and precept-on-precept. As Adam received and practiced the truths given, more and more was poured out until he had a fullness. In his day the planets above served as mighty signs, like a flannel board story in Sunday School, used to teach higher truths. The stars and the planets overhead served as symbols and lessons of greater truths.

Ep. 133: QnA#19: The Enigma of the Tree of Knowledge

Wed, 18 Mar 2026 03:00:00 -0600

Welcome to another 7th episode in the Gospel Feast Podcast. As you know, in honor of Eastern Thinking, we take questions from our audience. In this episode we explore the "enigma" of the Forbidden Fruit and the Tree of Knowledge and how the entire event feels like a "set up." But was it? And if it was, exactly "who" was set up? This one might just open some eyes to "greater light and knowledge." If not, you may discover a new taste for "fruit salad...."

Ep. 132: The Gift of Enmity

Fri, 06 Mar 2026 03:00:00 -0700

The word enmity means hatred. It comes from the same root from which we get the word enemy. Satan means enemy. For those who like to trumpet that God is merely Love, it is fun to point out that it was this simple so-called God of Love who placed hatred on the Earth. Since this is Biblically Correct and it is quoted in Genesis as coming straight from the mouth of God, this is an important topic to understand.

Ep. 131: A Garden in Eden

Wed, 11 Feb 2026 03:00:00 -0700

It is the basic tenant of most faiths that human life began with a single man and his wife. Christian-Judeo based religions know our universal father in the flesh as Adam and our universal mother as Eve. Restored Christianity teaches that Adam is the Arch-angel known as Michael. Let's learn more about our universal heritage by feasting on the garden called by God, Eden.

Ep. 130: The Great Plan in Council

Fri, 30 Jan 2026 13:00:00 -0700

In this episode we continue our feast in Genesis with the Great Council in Heaven, the selection of our Saviour, the resulting war, the aftermath and consequence of Lucifer's rebellion. We also ask the question, "Who or What are the Hosts of Heaven?"

Ep. 129: Creation

Wed, 03 Dec 2025 03:00:00 -0700

The Prophet Joseph explained that it was not possible for humanity to understand his creation, purpose, and design, if he or she (that's not the same thing) didn't understand "Who" and "What" God is. Much of the chaos we are witnessing today was foretold by ancient prophets as they warned us about gender-role confusions which are leaching into the core of our society. The goal of the Book of Genesis, as prepared for us by Ezra, summating the words of Moses, is an attempt to bring meaning and peace amid the chaos of our modern world, even within modern Israel. We are particularly fortunate to have the windows of heaven open on this all-important topic.

This episode also contains a primary song written by Ron Garrard to teach the days and order of creation.

Ep. 128: In the Beginning Was the Word (Genesis an Introduction)

Wed, 19 Nov 2025 03:00:00 -0700

Season 8 of the Gospel Feast Podcast will focus on the Book of Genesis from Creation of Man to the Great Flood of Father Noah. It will rely on Reed R. Simonsen's book, "Genesis & the Sons of the Morning."

This episode contains a new song by composer Ron Garrard using the poetic works of modern day poetess Barbara Sue Blackhurst.

Ep. 127: Be Ye Holy. What does that even mean? (An Eastern Thinking Lesson)

Tue, 30 Sep 2025 21:00:00 -0600

In this season finale, we discuss the ancient eastern understanding of Holiness. It just might surprise you. This episode also includes a new song by Ron Garrard.

Ep. 126: QnA#18 Hear Him

Mon, 22 Sep 2025 03:00:00 -0600

In this QnA episode we answer a question about the pandemic the world was recently passed through as well as enjoy another song from Ron Garrard.

Ep. 125: Gad's Vision of the Great Day of Judgment

Fri, 19 Sep 2025 03:00:00 -0600

Gad preserved for us his vision of the latter-day Great Judgement. It contains several interesting elements that tie precisely with Restored Christianity. This episode also contains a new song by Ron Garrard.

Ep. 124: The Death of David & the Aftermath

Wed, 17 Sep 2025 03:00:00 -0600

Gad preserves for us several interesting stories that we would not otherwise have. This episode includes David's final sermon to Israel, his final words on his deathbed, and the aftermath of the tragic story of Tamar who was raped by her half-brother at the palace.

This episode contains more music by Ron Garrard.

A special thank you to Darin Ethington for a re-do on our musical logo.

Ep. 123: More Psalms of David, famous & forgotten (set to music)

Thu, 11 Sep 2025 03:00:00 -0600

Because we received an overwhelming response from our last episode, we have decided to give you, in essence, a part 2. Come and enjoy the musical gospel as taught over 2,000 years ago by King David. Who can say? Perhaps you'll find yourself singing along?

Also a very happy shoutout to our listeners in Canada whom we are told started "Podcasts & Popcorn!" to quite literally gather together, listen to us, and feast at the same time. And with popcorn!!! That is very hard to top! You made our whole year!

Go and Sing a Psalm!

Ep. 122: The Lost Psalms of David (set to music)

Thu, 07 Aug 2025 07:00:00 -0600

With the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, we have come to understand the prolificacy of David. He wrote 4,050 psalms! Ninety-six percent more than we have. He intended for each to be sung on a separate day at the Temple as part of the worship service and basically everywhere else. This may make David the most prolific lyricist of all time!

We know that David sang to Saul when evil spirits were pressing around him. We now have 4 of his exorcism songs. Two are heavily damaged but one is relatively complete. Since the Lord had forbidden David from building the actual temple, David laid all the plans, including the liturgies, so that all that Solomon had to do was place the flesh on the bones, so to speak. In this, David typified Elohim laying the plans for the wise princely son to do his father’s work.

In this episode, using the musical talents of Ron Garrard and the Garrard Singers, let's recreate some of the Psalms that have not been heard for over 3,000 years, in the spirt David intended them. The song of the righteous is a prayer the Lord has said. Come and sing (and pray) along with us!

We are happy to announce that Vol. 11 in the Gospel Feast Series: Exodus & The Great Atonement is now available on Amazon. Come and Feast with us again on this amazing book!

Ep. 121: Mount Moriah, Mormons, & Masonry (eGad & Oh My!)

Thu, 24 Jul 2025 21:00:00 -0600

Great significance is placed on ancient Mount Moriah as the site of the Holy Temple of Israel. It is the site where Abraham offered Isaac and was spared the final deed with a ram caught in a thicket. It was the site of Jacob’s dream of the ladder ascending into heaven. Where afterward he set up a pillar from the rock that was his pillow and called the place, Bethel, the very house of God. It would later be the same range of hills on which Jesus Christ was crucified in the day when Rome ruled the world. But how did this holy mount become the first choice of David as the Temple Site? We do know from the Bible that it was originally a threshing floor for grain. Gad fills in the story.

Further Gad also gives us additional information on Hiram of Tyre, one of the most important figures in Masonry. In the Bible, Hiram just kind of appears and then disappears and then it gets a little confusing. Gad gives us this important story about how Hiram came into Israel and why he was beloved enough of the Lord to be a major supporter of the Temple, as well as, why David and he were such good friends. Hiram of Tyre is of particular interest around the world because he is considered by many to be the "father of Masonry." Let's take this feast together!

A very special thank you to actor Robert Martin and musician Ron Gerard for their talents in this episode.

Ep. 120: Dispensations: The Fourth Reconstructed through the Seventh.

Fri, 11 Jul 2025 17:00:00 -0600

In our last episode we ran out of time answering a question about the dispensations and particularly Moses’s role in God’s great dispensational plan.

In exploring the prophetic writings and mission of Ezra, we learned that with the loss of the Brass Plates, the destruction of the Temple Library and the burning of the Jewish Canon, the Lord commissioned Ezra to recreate the scriptures that we call the Old Testament under the power of the Holy Spirit. We learned how later Assyrian-Luciferian scholars infiltrated the Sanhedrin and commanded the Jews not to read the Bible but to only study their interpretation of scripture. This was the major source of our Lord’s frustration during His ministry.

Previously we outlined the first three dispensations and showed how each had a definite pattern of renewal after a period of apostasy. We saw how the Lord used a 1,000 year cycle of renewal with a 500 year mid-point as a mini-refreshing of deliverance. This works perfect in Eastern though because the number 500 functions as a super jubilee number of grace and deliverance. It is actually the more correct meaning of the Lord’s enigmatic statement that men are required to forgive 70x7. Where 50 and 500 are jubilees and super-jubilees, 1000 is the number renewal after a period of trial by witness.

We saw that the pattern was exact until we came to Moses. This episode will answer the question, "Who was the Dispensational head of the 4th Dispensation?" As well as discuss dispensations 5 through 7.

Ep. 119: QnA#17: Dispensations: the First through the Third Thousand Years.

Fri, 27 Jun 2025 03:00:00 -0600

Every 7th episode we answer your questions. This episode deals with dispensationalism, one of the major proofs of Restored Christianity. All our ancestors understand that dispensationalism was part of God's plan for fallen humanity. When the concept is understood properly, much of history and our forebearers' motivations come into focus.

Modern secular Christianity rejects dispensationalism because it proves apostasy and thus the need for restoration. This episode contains many surprises and is not one to miss nor take lightly. Come and see!

A very special thank you to composer Ron Garrard for this talents in this episode! Check out his many talents on YouTube.

Ep. 118 Eyewitness Accounts of King David

Thu, 22 May 2025 03:00:00 -0600

For the remainder of Season 7 on the Gospel Feast Podcast we have been exploring one of the only books recommended by Ezra but left out of the canon of the Old Testament, that survives today. You will find that Ezra and the Great Assembly, called by God to prepare the Old Testament, refers to Gad’s book by name.
Both Gad the Seer and the Prophet Nathan were the main prophets assigned to King David and the royal court of united Israel. In this episode we are going to feast on some of the events that Gad preserved for us from the life of David.

The beautiful Mountain Dulcimer version of David Melech Yisrael is by Lil Rev. Find his talents at lilrev.com

Ep. 117: The Visions of Gad the Seer

Mon, 12 May 2025 03:00:00 -0600

Gad opens with two amazing visions that have much to say about God’s reasons for choosing Israel and His early lament as they failed to live up to their calling, nearly from the beginning.
The first vision of Gad, preserved for us, depicts the coming corruption of the Abrahamic Covenant under the new dispensation bringing the founding of the Lord's House on the Temple Mount. It constitutes an official warning to the Royal household that will ultimately blow up under King Solomon. This is very important since it is uncharacteristic of God not to warn His children prior to apostasy.

A very special thank you to Ron Garrard for his musical talents. More of Ron's unique gifts can be found on his YouTube Channel: Ron Garrard Songs.

Ep. 116: Ezra's Recommended Reading List (Egad, a seer!)

Wed, 07 May 2025 03:00:00 -0600

When Ezra the Levite, who may have also been the High Priest, prepared the Official Jewish Canon at the command of God Himself, the same that is called the Old Testament by Christians, he authorized a handful of other books as being noteworthy for study. Since these survived the book burning by Nebuchadnezzar, and were not lost to humanity, Ezra didn’t feel the need to edit them nor place them in the official collection of the Holy Bible. Anyone wanting to read these books was able to.
We are fortunate that many centuries later, one of these books on Ezra’s “must read list” survived. It was the Book of Gad the Seer, one of two personal prophets assigned as counselors to King David. For the remainder of our feast into Ezra, let’s study the little known but very important Book of Gad the Seer.

Ep. 115: Ezra's Forbidden Bible (Holy Moses!)

Wed, 30 Apr 2025 21:00:00 -0600

It is our goal in the Gospel Feast Series to feast deeply on the Word of God. We take our desire to have meat over milk so seriously that we are unafraid to follow truth wherever it leads. Not all truth is pleasant and much of the word when eaten can be sweet to the taste but bitter to the stomach. Such is the nature of truth, but such is also the nature of freedom.

This episode may come as a shock to many but it is crucial when studying Ezra to understand that Rabbis actually say that reading the Bible will kill you." Why do they say this? Come and see!

Ep. 114: Ezra's Final Warning and How it Affects You Right Now!

Fri, 03 Jan 2025 03:00:00 -0700

Ezra was known anciently as “the Malachi." Once he had completed his mission to prepare, summarize, and even recreate the canon of scripture that we call the Old Testament, he left a final warning.
He also founded the Sanhedrin which played a crucial role in the murder of Jesus Christ.
In this episode we will explore all of that and more.
You should also re-listen to episode 67.

Ep. 113: The Second Coming of the Messiah! (Ezra's Witness) Part 2

Mon, 30 Dec 2024 03:00:00 -0700

Of the many amazing visions given to the Prophet Ezra, one of the most astounding is his being allowed to see the Return of Jesus Christ in power and glory along with the events just before and after God's return. This episode continues episode 111 and is part 2 of 2.
This season we are studying Reed R. Simonsen's Ezra & the End of Days, Vol. A in the Gospel Feast Series. It's time to Feast on the Word of God!

Ep. 112: QnA#16: So you think you know Ezra's 3-Headed Eagle Prophecy? You don't!

Wed, 25 Dec 2024 03:00:00 -0700

We have received many questions in regards to ep. 110 on Ezra's 3-headed Eagle. Many people think they understand it and we are discovering that they don't. It is not possible to understand this important prophecy without a large knowledge of World History and some Eastern Thinking helps too!.

In this episode our author and ancient historian takes us deeper into the current history of this important prophecy. It can be very dangerous to fall for self-entitled history or self-fulling prophecy when the great ending is close at hand. Here we will drive deeper into Ezra's legacy and lessons.

We are not endorsed by any religion, all opinions are our own. While it is true that we embrace educated speculation in this podcast, private theories and interpretations can be useless when seeking truth. We also claim Fair Use in this episode as some of this content is used in parody to make a specific point.

Ep. 111: The Second Coming of the Messiah! (Ezra's Witness) Part 1

Thu, 19 Sep 2024 16:00:00 -0600

Of the many amazing visions given to the Prophet Ezra, one of the most cherished is his being allowed to see the Return of Jesus Christ in power and glory. Ezra was also allowed to see the return of the Lost Ten Tribes. Composer Ron Garrard's impressive talents are showcased here in his recreation of Eliza R. Snow Smith's "Hymn to the Earth." This episode is part 1 of 2.
This season we are studying Reed R. Simonsen's Ezra & the End of Days, Vol. A in the Gospel Feast Series. It's time to Feast on the Word of God!

Ep. 110: Ezra's Vision of the Three-Headed Eagle

Mon, 29 Jul 2024 16:00:00 -0600

Toward the end of his sojourn in the pristine field, the Levite Prophet Ezra was given an incredible vision of a terrifying three-headed eagle. Even those unfamiliar with the larger book of 2nd Ezra may have heard of this vision. It is frequently taken out of context today.
In this episode we will explore this amazing vision in context and see what gems it might hold for you and me living in the final minutes of the very last days.
This season's episodes are based on the author's book, Ezra & the End of Days available on Amazon. Note that episode 112 expands on this episode.

Ep. 109: The Weeping Lady in the Flowered Field

Wed, 05 Jun 2024 03:00:00 -0600

While fasting and praying at Uriel's command in a flowered field, the prophet Ezra meets a weeping lady with a profound message about the future; your future.
In this episode we explore this event, its message and its lessons.
This season we are feasting on the unknown writings of the Prophet Ezra whose pen name was Malachi. His writings were once included in the King James Version of the Bible but were removed because they were too illuminating and that scared the powerful men and women of the day. Let's see why they didn't want you to have his amazing writings. It's time to feast on the word of the Great Jehovah.
This episode is based on Ezra & the End of Days by Reed R. Simonsen, and contains a new song "The New Jerusalem" by composer Ron Garrard.

Ep. 108: Ezra Pleads... Uriel and Jehovah Answer!

Fri, 31 May 2024 03:00:00 -0600

Ezra has been fasting and praying seeking answers to some of the very same questions that you and I are seeking today amid the chaos all around us.
Finally, the heavens part and answers come!
As wickedness seems to be gathering all around us again in our day, and the answers given to us too often feel like skim milk, when meat is what we are craving. The Lord's answers to Ezra are more than welcome.
Let's take this opportunity to get some meat from the Lord God Himself. We may just discover the refeshment we are craving being trapped in modern Babylon, knowing that all is not well in our modern Zion, these many centuries later.
It's also super cool to know that some of Ezra's questions pertain to the Latter-days, and so they may be the exact answers you and I have been seeking all along, already given.

Ep. 107: The Archangel Uriel

Mon, 20 May 2024 03:00:00 -0600

The Archangel Uriel is one who was known to our ancestors but never much mentioned today. He is however, the angel who was sent to Ezra to help him understand and then prepare the return of the Jews to Jerusalem in preparation for the coming birth of the Messiah whose exact day of Visitation had been given to the Prophet Daniel.

In this episode we will meet him and come to appreciate him as another guardian of the Children of Men. We will also come to see how Ezra was able to wrestle information from the Most High. It is a worthy lesson to learn as there are so many similarities in the sorrows and needs of Judah in Babylon to the sorrow and needs of Ephraim in refuge.

Many profound truths and insights await us as Ezra waits on answers from the Lord.

Ep. 106: Ezra & the End of Days & You!

Thu, 16 May 2024 12:00:00 -0600

Welcome to Season 7 of the Gospel Feast Podcast. For this season we are going to feast on the only book that used to be in the King James Bible but was removed. It is written by the prophet Ezra who used the title Malachi as a pen name from time to time.

Since Ezra was writing at the Lord's command deep in the sorrows of a rapidly collapsing world which made little sense to the faithful, the lessons that he offers and the understandings that the Lord preserved through him are more than pertinent to our modern, confusing time, right before the very 2nd Coming! It is also the only officially canonized book we have that speaks of the Archangel Uriel.

This season will be based on Vol. A in the Gospel Feast Series, "Ezra & the End of Days" available in various formats on Amazon.

Ep. 105: QnA#15 Who is the Anti-Christ? And When Will He Appear? What are your current thoughts on the happenings in the Middle East?

Mon, 27 Nov 2023 03:00:00 -0700

We have had so many people asking us about the current events in the Middle East, how we believe this effects the end timeline, and particularly the Anti-Christ so it’s not fair to connect this to any one listener, so as a general question, (and feel free to insert your own name here), we ask our author and historian, "Who is the Anti-Christ? When will he appear? And what is your take on the current events in the Middle East?
This is an episode with many surprises!

Ep. 104: Even, So! Come Lord Jesus!

Wed, 15 Nov 2023 03:00:00 -0700

We have reached the end of an amazing book! One that many have read but few have really feasted on. In our yearly rotation of holy scripture, Revelation comes at the end (late November or December) when we are always eager to celebrate our Thanksgiving for Christ and his birth, so this is a book we never really study together, even though it is a book strongly recommended by the scriptures of the Restoration. We hope that, in a small way, this season has helped rectify this.
We hope that this season has been a grand feast for you and that you will never read John’s book again without rejoicing that you are, as Elder McConkie labeled, “one of the few favored in the church." We have one last chapter to enjoy, so… Even So….
A very special thank you to Darien Ethington for his musical talents.

Ep. 103: The Marriage in Zion at the Lord's 2nd Coming!

Mon, 13 Nov 2023 03:00:00 -0700

At last, at last the marriage of the Lamb! In this episode we will explore the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the great celebration that will be His wedding celebration with Lady Zion, His Church and Kingdom.
It is important to remember that the Prophet Joseph Smith said that the coming of Kingdom would be like a woman giving birth. Terrible moments of pain interspaced with moments of peace and growing excitement. As the deliver got closer so would the moments of pain become longer. We however were encouraged to remember that once the babe is in arms, all that is left is great and tremendous joy! As we witness the trials, wars and mere rumors of possible wars, mingled with human stupidity, it is wonderful to keep that growing excitement that all we see now will be but a past memory, when our bridegroom comes and blows it all away. Even so… Come Lord Jesus. Let’s get started!

Ep. 102: Mystery Babylon, the Synagogue of Satan & the Church of The Devil

Fri, 10 Nov 2023 03:00:00 -0700

We are rapidly coming to the end of another amazing season on the Gospel Feast Podcast but not just yet! Just as the Book of Revelation takes us right up to the very end, so we are living in the very last days.
In this episode, John is going to tell us more about the mysterious Mystery Babylon which is just one of the many names of the Synagogue of Satan and the Church of The Devil causing so much misery among us. Let’s see what the Lord wanted John to tell us.

Ep. 101: A Latter-day Restoration & Safety on Mount Zion

Wed, 08 Nov 2023 03:00:00 -0700

We hope you enjoyed our three episode centennial celebration into Joseph Smith’s astonishing work in ancient Egyptian. We hope that it was testimony building or affirming.
But now it is time to get back into the Book of Revelation. We left off exploring how this book is really a menorah of light where the first half of the book is expanded and re-encapsulated by the second half. We paused where during the 5th seal, John saw the great anti-christ rise up and how a mark was required on all men in order to buy or sell. We heard the Lord declare that any getting the mark would be cast off with one exception, those who were sealed with the seal of God would be spared. In this episode we are going to see how that sealing came about.

Ep. 100: The Joseph Smith Hypocephalus: A Celebration!

Wed, 01 Nov 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Welcome to our 100th Episode! To celebrate we have set down our study of Revelation briefly and explored Facsimile #2 of the Book of Abraham also called The Joseph Smith Hypocephalus. In order to prepare for this episode we used episodes 98 & 99 to set the stage. It is hoped that you will have listened to those two before this one.
Okay! Since it is time to celebrate! Let's jump into a magnificent feast into one of the least understood parts of our standard works - and savor a little understood part of our heritage!
And a very special thank you to Darien Ethington for his musical talents!

Ep. 99: Hypocephali & Reformed Egyptian

Wed, 25 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

We are taking a short pause in our feast on the Book of Revelation, and have a side feast on Facsimile #2 of the Book of Abraham also known as the Joseph Smith Hypocephalus. In order to do it justice, we will have to prepare. This is preparatory podcast #2 in preparation for our 100th Centennial Celebration which comes next!
Here we explore the history of both the Book of Abraham, in terms of the history of the Church, and the known history of Ancient Egypt. We will also explore the prophet's prophetic gifts and prophetic process as he worked to uncrack the secrets of the past.
Some of what we explore here has never been discussed openly before now. Let's take this appetizer together!

Ep. 98: Hypocephalus Prep & The Plan

Mon, 23 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

This is part 1 of our 3 part Centennial Jubilation! We are going to take a short pause in our feast on the Book of Revelation, and have a side feast on Facsimile #2 of the Book of Abraham also known as the Joseph Smith Hypocephalus. In order to do it justice, we will have to prepare, so grab a fork, this is going to be a smorgasbord!

Ep. 97: QnA#14: A 100 Yard Dash of Questions!

Fri, 20 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Every 7th episode we answer questions from our listeners. We have received so many questions that we are going to copy our marathon episode from QnA13 and try to get through a greater number of them than usual.
Questions can be submitted to gospelfeastbooks@gmail.com.
For those wanting more, you are invited to consider the author's Revelation & the Mark of the Beast. It is Vol. 6 in the Gospel Feast Series.

Ep. 96: The Dreaded MARK of the BEAST! AGH!!!!

Wed, 18 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

AGHHHHHH, the Mark of the BEAST!!!! Need we say more? Yes, we have a great deal to say about this.
For those wanting more, you are invited to consider the author's Revelation & the Mark of the Beast. It is Vol. 6 in the Gospel Feast Series.

Ep. 95: The War of Armageddon

Mon, 16 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

John the Revelator stands as our second witness to Ezekiel when it comes to many of the incredible events of the last days. We explored Ezekiel's witness of the War of Armageddon in season 5, episode 81. Here we will explore these same events from John's perspective.
For those wanting more, you are invited to consider the author's Revelation & the Mark of the Beast. It is Vol. 6 in the Gospel Feast Series.

Ep. 94: John's Mission Call & Hebraic Poetry Prep re-Primer

Fri, 13 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

The entire Bible can be read as an attempt by Satan to undermine the plans of God and thwart His will. For this reason men must live by faith in every word that comes from the mouth of God and His prophets. Correct faith is the safest option since the Holy Ghost can lead the faithful over any obstacle course (even as it changes) to the destination of safety.
In this episode we will explore John's Mission Call and then take a quick re-Primer into Hebraic Poetry to prepare us for the very poetic chapters that follow. Our primer is a partial recapitulation of episode 21. I am mentioning this here because it is entirely possible that the Lord is interrupting Revelation in this manner for more than just eastern poetics (which I am fine with anyway). From our position much of the book makes sense, but in John’s day there was much that hadn’t happened yet.
John is visited by a mighty angel. One with a special mission call for him. See if you can guess who he is...
For those wanting more, you are invited to consider the author's Revelation & the Mark of the Beast. It is Vol. 6 in the Gospel Feast Series.

Ep. 93: The Seventh Seal & The Testimony of Nature

Listeners to our podcast know that it is our speculation that we are currently living in the early years of the 7th Seal. But how would we know?
All of the seals have opened with a noise; a shout, a quake, a lament. The Seventh Seal is different. It opens with... (well, you're just going to have to listen to this episode to find out).

Ep. 92: The 6th Seal

Mon, 09 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

At the opening of the sixth thousand years, Nature spoke. The earth (the Father’s vineyard) was deeply upset over the murder of her creator. The legal heir to the Father had been rejected and killed; and His holy blood had soaked into her skin. Horrible vengeance was warranted.

Ep. 90: The Throne Room of Almighty God

Wed, 04 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Very few mortals have been permitted to see into the Throne Room of Almighty God. Fewer still — perhaps only John — have been permitted to linger there and write what he saw. John sees a door open in heaven, and like a portal into the eternities, John enters. This is what he sees...

Ep. 89: The Lord's Letter to Seven Churches

Mon, 02 Oct 2023 03:00:00 -0600

The Book of Revelation opens with a letter addressed to 7 specific churches in Asia which were under the direct responsibility of John. These function very much like our modern patriarchal blessings do in modern times. Still, as lovers of history, and the word of God, wherever we find it, let's see what we can gain from these amazing letters.

Ep. 88: John in America and Beyond

Fri, 29 Sep 2023 03:00:00 -0600

John the Revelator was granted power over death by the Lord at the end of the Lord's mortal ministry here. He told John that he would live to minister and help prepare the day of the Lord's return by prophesying before many peoples in many nations.
In this episode we explore the fulfillment of this in the Americas among our own kindred and how this adds to the promise that the Lord intended His altar to be build anew in a "New Jerusalem."
A special thank you to Andrew Koyama and Robert Martin for their voice talents in this episode.

Ep. 87: John the Belovéd Revelator

Wed, 27 Sep 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Season 6 of the Gospel Feast Podcast explores the fabulous final book in the Christian Bible, John the Apostle's Book of Revelation. It is one of the few sacred books which specifically guarantees a blessing upon those who read it.
In the episode we will feast on the life of John, called both the Beloved of the Lord and the Great Revelator. This is going to be an exciting season!
For those wanting more, you are invited to consider the author's Revelation & the Mark of the Beast. It is Vol. 6 in the Gospel Feast Series.

Ep. 86: Zedek: The War Chariot of the Lord: part 2

Mon, 17 Apr 2023 03:00:00 -0600

The vision of Ezekiel in chapter 1 of his writings has been heavily debated by scholars and fools. Many illustrators throughout the millennia have attempted to depict his vision with little to no real success.
What Ezekiel actually saw was the War Chariot of the Lord. Ezekiel’s description of it is grand and nearly incomprehensible. This is because it is meant to be felt in Eastern terms, not understood in a Western way.
One must use Eastern Thinking to understand it; however, in western terms, the war-chariot of the Lord is Zedek (in Hebrew). Zeus (in Greek), and Heru (in Egyptian). In English we know him by the name... Well, you're just going to have to listen to this one, aren't you? This is part 2 of episode 85. You should listen to part 1 (ep. 85) before this one.
Anyone wanting more on this can find it in Vol. 8 of the Gospel Feast Series: Genesis & The Everlasting Covenant and Vol. D: Aseneth, Our Lady Deseret.

Ep. 85: Zedek: The War Chariot of the Lord: part 1

Wed, 12 Apr 2023 03:00:00 -0600

This is part 1 of 2. It has been heavily debated by scholars and fools as to the meaning of the chariot of the Lord that Ezekiel saw. Many illustrators throughout the millennia have attempted to depict his vision with little to no real success. Ezekiel chapter 1 is carefully laid out in the form of a quiz in episode 71 of this season, but in short what Ezekiel actually saw was the War Chariot of the Lord. Ezekiel’s description of it is grand and nearly incomprehensible. This is because it is meant to be felt in Eastern terms, not understood in a Western way. One must use Eastern Thinking to understand it; however, in western terms, the war-chariot of the Lord is ....

Ep. 84: QnA#12: Was the Prophet Joseph Smith Ever Photographed?

Mon, 10 Apr 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Every 7th episode we take questions from our listenership. In this episode we ask our author and historian about his involvement with a daguerreotype (a photograph) of the Prophet Joseph Smith that was in the possession of the Prophet's wife Emma, and their eldest son Joseph Smith III in the 1800s.
Those wishing to see the photograph can do so here: GospelFeastBooks.com in the "Podcast" section.

Ep. 83: The Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ

Thu, 06 Apr 2023 03:00:00 -0600

The 7th thousand year period is called “The Millennium.” It is the 1,000 years of all the 1,000 years! It is the time hoped and prayed for by every prophet and saint from the days of Adam. It will be a time of great joy, when radical changes will take place on the Earth, in nature, and in mankind. God will renew the Earth and give it back its paradisiacal glory which will at first be a Terrestrial Glory. The Lord will usher in a new order for the planet.
Perhaps the most exciting part of living in this time will be the hands on administration of Jesus Christ as King and Law Giver.

Ep. 82: The Third Temple at Jerusalem

Tue, 04 Apr 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Jerusalem will know at least three Temples. The first was built by King Solomon with the help of King Hiram of Tyre. It was paid for in advance by King David but the actual construction fell upon Solomon. It was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar during Ezekiel's lifetime.
The Second Temple we call Zerubbabel’s Temple. It was built 70 years later when the Jews were allowed to return to Jerusalem under foreign control. It was smaller than Solomon’s and less grand. It would stand through the next 500 years, greeting Alexander the Great, the Maccabees, and Rome. This is the temple that Herod expanded; the one that greeted the Great Jehovah in the flesh, the Lord Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry. It was destroyed by Rome a few years after the death of the Lord.
It is from Ezekiel that we learn of a third temple at Jerusalem in the latter-days. It is a temple that we hope to see in our lifetimes (the Lord willing....)

Ep. 81: The Coming Battle of Armageddon

Mon, 27 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0600

We know that in coming days there will be terrible wars, great wickedness, carnality, corruption, and abomination such as the world has never before seen. The cup of man’s iniquity will be full, and the fury and scourge of the Lord will be poured without measure upon all nations.
The Battle of Armageddon is one of those events that will absolutely happen. Where we are uncertain about particulars, it may be that these are the moments that mankind might yet mitigate some of the destruction or where the Lord needs to hide his hand to keep the upper hand. Whatever the reason, the Lord is our great captain and His purposes will be for our protection and welfare. His arm is sufficiently strong to win any battle and protect His people. He has said so, and we believe Him!
A special thank you to Jim Jepson for his voice talents in his episode.

Ep. 80: Dem Dry Dry Bones!

Wed, 22 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Christianity has no issue with the concept of resurrection. It is the fundamental tenant of our common faith that all men will be raised from the dead as the free gift of Jesus Christ. What is stranger is that Judaism has no concept of the resurrection today. Because of scriptures like Ezekiel 37, in Jesus’s Day, Jewry was spilt into two camps on this issue.

The Pharisees believed in a coming resurrection while the Sadducees did not. You can remember this with the corny saying, “The Sadducees didn’t believe in the resurrection, which is why they are sad-you-see.” In truth, there is nothing sadder than a modern Jewish funeral. The terrible loss of loved ones, combined with the firm belief that they will never see them again, makes for a darkness that is tragic.

Dem Bones, Dry Bones or Dem Dry Bones is a well-known traditional spiritual song. The melody was written by James Weldon Johnson (1871–1938) and his brother, J. Rosamond Johnson. It is another example of the rich tradition of purely American music. It takes its lyrics from the Prophet Ezekiel.

Ep. 79: The Fall of the Arrogant Houses of Man

Mon, 20 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0600

The Lord is no respecter of persons. He will accept any who will come to Him and learn His ways. The Lord is also a righteous judge and is stuck with the burden of dealing with those who repeatedly will not listen. Israel has had many outrageous enemies. It is illuminating to note that the Lord is most annoyed with the children of men when they kick a brother who is down. The Lord believes in callings and family and it enrages Him when families do not support each other in their callings given from His hand. Men are to serve one another. Remember that the Lord is our eldest brother, heir to the Almighty Father and yet He serves us. We must do the same.
In this chapter we are going to study the pronouncements against the bloodlines of the area. The fall of the wicked houses of Ammon, Moab, Arabia, and Egypt who were all kin and distant kin of Israel. These are the houses of man who rejoiced when Israel fell and were quick to help them into sin, then laughed at their misfortune.

Ep. 78: Riddles, Role Plays, Parables & Children's Games! (What more could our poor Lord do?)

Wed, 15 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0600

Over the course of mankind’s history, the Lord has used numerous symbols and models to try and explain the Plan of Salvation to all in eastern terms. His chosen exemplars, the Children of Israel, were such a rebellious house that the Lord had been forced to stoop to role-plays, children’s games and riddles to try and get their attention. Ezekiel 15-17 are riddles that the Lord is posing to Israel to try and get them to think. It is similar to the Lord using parables during His ministry.

Ep. 77: QnA#11: Where are the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel?

Ep. 76: One Eternal Round

Wed, 08 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0700

Just like the chiasmus poem we studied previously, the Lord works in One Eternal Round. In these next verses we will see that while the Lord will destroy Zion and Jerusalem, He will also gather and rebuild the same — One Eternal Round.

Ep. 75: The Loss of the Shekinah

Mon, 06 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0700

The glory of the Lord is called the Shekinah in Hebrew. This is a curious word. It means God’s dwelling as in His resting. True to our eastern studies, it is a feminine word.
One of the saddest days in Israel was the day that the Shekinah left Solomon’s Temple. It had come and rested upon the Holy House once it was dedicated by Solomon. Witnesses who saw it, while it was there, say that it caused the Temple to literally glow both day and night. In modern temples of the Restoration, we light up the outside of them artificially in remembrance that once the Shekinah dwelt with man, and the Temple is still the House of the Lord’s Light.

Ep. 74: Chiasmus & Captivity. What now?

Wed, 01 Mar 2023 03:00:00 -0700

We studied together in the Book of Zechariah, how foreknowledge can be a burden. So much of the weeping of Jeremiah was over the fact that he was forced to prophecy events that would come to pass because the people would not repent. The Lord required him to try anyway. It was a hopeless task. Ezekiel saw the same burden.
No prophet but Isaiah is more poetic than Ezekiel. His writings are filled with chiasmus, considered the highest form of Hebraic poetry.
It is exciting to contrast these with the words of our modern Prophets who have said, even quite recently, that in our dispensation, if we will just hang on, exciting and better days are ahead. And so, it’s time to feast on the word…

Ep. 73: Role Plays, Sacred Numbers & the Secret of the Abomination of Desolation

Mon, 27 Feb 2023 03:00:00 -0700

The Lord tells Ezekiel that He is going to attempt to reach the people through a series of Role Plays that function like visual parables. He also decrees the length of the punishment that will be upon the people, including the little known clause given through the administration of Moses.
We will also discuss the secret of the Abomination of Desolation.

Ep. 72: Ezekiel Saw the Wheel

Thu, 23 Feb 2023 03:00:00 -0700

Ezekiel has been ushered up to the foot of the war chariot of the Living God. It is a unique vehicle more in the form of a palanquin or escorted litter, than a chariot. Whether Ezekiel was taken to God, or God had come to him, the effect was the same. Ezra said it best, “Who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner’s fire.”35 Ezekiel found himself face down on the ground before the royal presence. The kindness of our God is also here manifested.

Ep. 71: The War Chariot of the Lord! (Plus an Eastern Thinker's Quiz)

Tue, 21 Feb 2023 03:00:00 -0700

Ezekiel is the perfect book for us to flap our eastern wings because it contains imagery and teachings that are not accessible to a western mind. If you doubt me (and why would you?) do a search for yourself. You will find that there are acres of writings by some very smart people all trying to make sense of Ezekiel. They vary on a scale from deeply mysterious to pure science fiction. Some make very clever arguments such as: Ezekiel was possessed; delusional; high on some strange drug; fighting with madness; and even, visited by extra-terrestrials who convinced him that they were God. All of this would be laughable except that Ezekiel’s experience makes little sense from a western perspective.

Ep. 69: The Enigmatic Book of Ezekiel

Wed, 15 Feb 2023 03:00:00 -0700

You are about to embark upon a fabulous journey into the Book of Ezekiel. It may be one of the strangest experiences you will ever have with holy scripture. It is a book that you have never really studied before in Sunday School, Institute or Seminary. I think that will be clear soon enough and you can make that final judgement for yourself as to why. There are parts of Ezekiel which are forbidden to discuss in synagogues or publicly by Jews; which begs the question. Why? Why would God say things openly, if they were never to be spoken? It’s hard to hide that which God has spoken openly. Why are they concerned?
This season we will discover all of this and more!

Ep. 68 - The Secret of John the Baptist, the son of Zacharias

Sun, 31 Jul 2022 19:00:00 -0600

The history of Israel knows at least 31 Zechariahs. We know the last of these by the Greek version of his name Zacharias, the Father of John the Baptist, whom the Lord Jesus Christ called "the greatest prophet born of woman." What? How can this be?

We can’t spend a season on the Book of Zechariah the Levite priest and prophet and not conclude it with the last of his name, Zecharias of the New Testament and the greatest prophet born from woman, his son John the Baptist.

This episode will answer many of the mysteries of John's birth, purpose and ministry. For more see the author's book John the Baptist here.

Ep. 67 - The Book of Malachi

Wed, 13 Jul 2022 03:00:00 -0600

The Book of Malachi was written by the Prophet Ezra as the closing chapter to the compilation that he was commanded to compile for the return of the Jews and Levites (with some Benjamites) to the Holy Land.
It was to be the Lord's final words until He sent His messenger, John the Baptist, to announce the coming of the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ. This episode also explores the curse mentioned by God upon the priests leading up to the return of Elijah in the Latter-days.

This is part 2 of a question from one of our listeners on sacred architecture. If you have not yet listened to episode 64 on Moses's Tabernacle, you will want to as this episode expands on that one.

Know Ye Not that Ye Are the Temple?! It's time to feast on the Words of Jesus Christ!

Ep. 65 - The Book of Haggai

Fri, 20 May 2022 03:00:00 -0600

The Prophet Haggai was one of a handful of prophets who were sent back with Zechariah to prepare Jerusalem and the Temple for the return of the nation.

His little book, while not considered the most poetic of the prophets, does contain some wonderful surprises for our modern lives, as well as stands as proof that the Lord of Hosts (Jesus Christ) always keeps His promises to us, although not always on our timetables.

Fri, 22 Apr 2022 03:00:00 -0600

The Book of Zechariah is one of the apocalyptic books of the Old Testament from which we are able to gather information about the End of Times, or the very last days before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ as King of our planet.

Ep. 60 - Ephraim in the Days of Latter Rain

Fri, 15 Apr 2022 03:00:00 -0600

It is a puzzlement to Jew and Gentile alike that the Lord continually mentions Ephraim in connection with the Latter-days. Ephraim is important because he was given the birthright of Israel (but not the royal house). So, how is this possible since we don't know where Ephraim is? Or do we?

Ep. 59 - The Burden of the Word & What Might Have Been

Wed, 13 Apr 2022 03:00:00 -0600

The Word of the Lord can be a burden instead of a blessing on Earth. It is certainly a burden to those who will not come to the Lord and let Him be their healer. It can also be a burden to Him when He is forced to enact a punishment. The Lord does not like punishments. He is the God of life and love, but He is also a God of Justice.

This episode will explore an amazing series of prophecies and promises given to ancient Judah including a promise of what could be (if only they would choice it) and is thus a fascinating look into what "might have been."

Ep. 55 - The Mystery of the Prophet Elias

Mon, 04 Apr 2022 03:00:00 -0600

In our last episode we ended just before our author and historian was able to elaborate on the mystery of the prophet Elias. In this episode we will continue where that one left off.

We are almost through a series of amazing visions, which it is said, that the young prophet Zechariah had in a single night. Modern men and women believe that many of the things that we take for granted today have always been, but that is not necessarily so. The Lord, in his kindness, has always warned His prophets and those who would listen about the coming dangers planned for us by our arch-enemy Lucifer. In this episode we are going to explore one such machination that was unknown to our ancestors that today we are struggling terribly with; one that many of us would never think we could live without.

Fri, 01 Apr 2022 03:00:00 -0600

The Old Testament and the New Testament tell us that the Lord has two special witnesses who stand beside Him as testifiers to the world. When this is coupled with insights of the Restoration, we have a more complete, and very interesting picture, of future events. In this episode we explore the "Mystery of the Two Anointed Ones" as well as look into a Jewish legend about the "burning of High Priest Yeshua by Nebuchadnezzar."

Wed, 30 Mar 2022 03:00:00 -0600

We are continuing our in-depth and incredible journey into the little understood Book of Zechariah. We have been exploring a series of vision the young prophet had and have been discovering how they relate to our day too. It is just proof that the word of the Lord is as one eternal round. The good advice He shares, and the fair commands He gives, are as useful and fruitful in the captivity of ancient Babylon or struggling as serfs under the weight of our modern Great Beasts and would-be tyrants. I understand that today’s feast together is going to be particularly applicable to modern ears, so let’s get started.

This speculative episode combines scriptural insights from many sources to make an attempt at a chronology for these very End Times and Latter-days.

Included is the actual song of the Earth captured by NASA in 2012. The Earth sings her praises, just like King David told us, as she flies on her wings through the heavens, praising her creator. Is she begging Him to return as Enoch told us?

Ep. 45 - Turning the Keys of the Priesthood for Women

Wed, 01 Sep 2021 03:00:00 -0600

The emancipation of modern women is a story that is not clearly understood by the world. This great event eventually led to women getting the vote, first in the Territory of Utah but officially in the State of Wyoming.

Someday the history books of humanity will thank Joseph Smith the Prophet for this great gift to God's daughters; and yet, where much is given, much is expected in return. This episode also explains the Order of Heaven and the misunderstanding in modern times of "Unrighteous Dominion."
