This is NOT an overview on the matter nor full historical context. However, I wanted to share few ideas and questions that serve to provide thoughts on a complicated manner than many from both sides attempt to over simplify for their own sake, when fact of the matter is bad things happen, innocents pay for it while elites use them as pawns. Blind hatred is dumb and can be just as dangerous as blind love. You can support your people and want the best for them while also holding them accountable.

Being responsible and taking accountability first step as men is key in brokering any kind of relationship, especially one like this where there are valid claims, grievances, and misstellings of each others narrative.
Be consistent.
In a region like ours of Middle East many are way less forgiving than Israel. No need to hold them to a higher standard then we do ourselves nor is there need to demonize a group of people who were defenceless for so long. My heart aches for Palestinians but even the left wing and right wing ones are not consistent in their mentality, rhetoric, nor demands for what a possible future holds for the sake of Palestinians and any possible state. Marriage is also historically been a strategic, convenient, or agenda based transaction that poor and rich people are aware of but yet it seems that middle class have fallen into the trap of thinking they need to fall in love, especially in the romantic definition.

Whenever we allow a minority to be free of criticism and justice, we give them power and control. This could be applied to religions, but the case of this episode is the state of Israel where as the Economist describes it, 'Jews are being welcomed in the Middle East.' Jews have always been in the Middle East for it was the Middle East that took them when Spain kicked them out late 15th century. Countries like Emirates and Egypt are accommodating for Israeli travellers, making deals with the government of Israel, but allowing them to continue their illegal actions against the residents of Palestine- Gaza and West Bank. This is not about Jewish hate or not wanting Jews to travel freely and respected, this is about justice and punishment for the actions the Israeli government has committed. Why the lack of unity among Arab states? Allow Israelis to travel to their countries but they should allow freedom of movement of Palestinians then. Why is their luxury to travel a greater priority than basic rights for Palestinians?
This episode I also discuss if we can get more stupid as humans , as well as a few inquiries into the social benefits of Nordic countries and the high inequality that both systems of neoliberalism and 20th century socialist states have created.

Like what does one do when motivation slips? Same in romance with lust vs love, admiration, and respect. What does a couple do when lust disappears. Season 13 intro we discuss (we meaning me and my imagination) pseudo-anthropological theories (pseudo bc I made them up) about music and music making history as a communal, spiritual form of art and inherit in religious, power structures of old civilisations;making hip hop something new (in U.S and global musical definition & context), but also something in a way old for Middle East & Africa ancient people. Often times the image we create is shaped by so much media, and we go out of our way to place an image that doesn't match up reality, for some people thats the reality; not just on media but even in communities where people care too much on the opinions of others.

But also whats the point of creating something yourself and chasing freedom if you're forced to take something that was built before your time?

Farms to cities is the clearest and best examples of this plight of people away from family and land into cities and dreams.
Population and employment gaps pose issues to countries from Japan, to Spain, Germany, and China.

Climate change is even a part of this discussion, as not having kids reduces your carbon footprint, but also as some would argue, it means you dont have a real stake in the future of the world.

Moving around or even traveling for some can be tough. However, often times it is necessary for peace of mind, growth, change, or just to escape. However, escaping in my experience doesnt always pay off. Eventually, whatever you're chasing, it could even be yourself or within you, will eventually catch up or resurface. Often times if you're not happy here, you won't be happy there. Self-awareness is necessary and thats why mistakes are ok because you will make them even if you are moving away to escape, you'll realize later why n how once you realize that the move itself didn't make you all that much happier.

Cannabis & Religion

-Taking into account the local nature of science culture, do you think it is possible to develop a global approach to encouraging the public participation in science policies?

A global approach is difficult to create, but a global focus and reframing is necessary to account for changes and developments in STI, and how that subsequently impacts the international system. A Glocal perspective, or to think global, and to act local (Hebrew University of Jerusalem Intl. Development Program focused). With that in mind, the public within individual nations can work with a macro framework presented by organizations and guidelines presented by the U.N, W.H.O, NGOs, and other sources of credible leadership and education. People can then use the local leadership of mayors and neighborhood leaders. Cities and paradiplomacy play a role in the overall community surrounding many issues presented and discussed through science policies, such as super blocks in Barcelona or sustainable development in Curitiba, Brazil.

With background in history and context of the U.S, especially modern history post World War II, my approach to this question deals with the participation aspect as the public does not always react to policy and political landscape shifts as well as global agenda topics in the way many anticipate. The public does not think on their own and depending on the environment and specific cultural, local, and national case how people participate in science can be dictated from local education, industry, and even geopolitics. The competition between the United States and the Soviet Union, for example, during the Cold War went into many aspects of not just nuclear weapons, but space as well. The Soviets got the first man to orbit the planet first, but it was the United States that made it first to the Moon. For the Soviets their accomplishment was so grand they put a picture of the astronaut in many buildings all over the country. Soviet Union was able to be the first to orbit Earth during a time they could not produce a functioning washing machine.

In modern times nations like South Korea and Israel invest over 4% of their GDP to R&D. Israel in particular is a global leader in fields from cannabis to cybersecurity. Other nations like Japan and Germany have national plan and a science, technology, and innovation policy strategy. Both nations have quite nationalistic pride and history of demonstrating so. Leadership and demonstration of science education and plans set forth by national governments will be a heavy determinant of public participation in science policies. Merkel in Germany has physics and scientific background. However, to engage the public with having a leader with science in their education is not the only participation will take greater form. It is also bottom up because science and technology problems being presented in the 21st century, such as automation and possibly having a large useless class presents those questions for the public and policy makers. Increasing temperatures in many parts of the world, as now reported by U.N and other sources, could cause ⅓ or 3.5 billion of the world’s population in 2050 to live in unbearably hot temperatures demanding a need of massive migrations. The public will definitely be participating in science policies because the future of our civilizations depend on it, and the very policy they seek to participate in relates to a problem that either affects them now, will one day in the future, and/or affect their kids and future generations.
