On June 8, last year, on Episode 115, we had had a very special guest on this podcast – Joel Godi. The social psychologist, social entrepreneur and coach, whose life changed after discovering that he was neurodivergent, ADHD & Autistic (ASD1) in his early 40s, had been on a mission ever since to improve the quality of life of the neurodivergent community. Through his company NeuroGifted®, Joel worked tirelessly to create awareness and education, give voice to the neurodivergent community through advocacy, improve employability, help support neurodiversity initiatives and create value for individuals and organizations. 

On October 7 this year, the world lost a true gem of a person with Joel’s sudden demise.

In one of our most exciting conversations yet, Vinay traces the inspiring story behind the sustainably thriving community in the scenic fishing village of Pemuteran on the island of Bali, Indonesia – and the sustainability warrior who started it all. Meet Australian-born Chris Brown who was the first to see the potential of diving in the Pemuteran area. After starting the Reef Seen Divers’ Resort back in 1992, he began working to support and educate the local communities to better understand the need and ways to protect the local marine environment from the destructive bombing, cyanide fishing and other activities. In 1994, Chris started the Turtle Project of Pemuteran which works to protect the wild turtle population and to stop, or at least diminish, the worthless slaughtering of turtles. The project hatchery has released several thousands of turtles (juveniles and adults) into the ocean over the years. Chris has also started other projects including the Reef Seen Dancers, a Balinese dance troupe, and the Reef Gardeners which works towards conservation of the area’s coral reefs. He is none other than Vineet Saxena. An IIT-Kanpur grad, Vineet has built and managed several businesses and functions over his 23-year career. He started as a technology professional and after working for seven years, Vineet co-founded Myntra in 2006, where he successfully built a strong product catalogue and scaled the technology and operations management and the team there.

In his 16-year entrepreneurial career, Vineet has been at the helm of managing and scaling various functions including technology, product, marketing, and operations.

At the beginning of 2020, Vineet co-founder CARD91, a global payment issuance infrastructure company powering B2B payments. Its cutting-edge technology offers plug-and-play payment infrastructure for businesses & banks, who want to issue cards to customers, vendors, employees and partners.
