Vas J Morgan, is a TV personality, magazine editor and activist. He is known as a former cast member of reality series The Only Way Is Essex.

In March 2020, Vas launched the I AM ENOUGH platform to allow a safe space for people to discuss mental health issues without judgement and stigma. Following the death of George Floyd, Morgan used his platform to raise over £50,000 to provide free mental health support to black communities.

Vas joins Sober Sips to discuss what his drinking and drug-taking days looked like, embracing a sober social life and how he is dedicated to helping others.

Sometimes in life, when you can’t find what you need, it’s time to make it yourself.

Caleño was born out of personal frustration. Founder Ellie was on an alcohol-free night out with friends, getting down to some Latin funk. But something was bugging her. Why should not drinking mean not having fun? She felt uninspired by the alcohol-free drinks on offer and decided it was time to bring some joy to not drinking.

Caleño first came to life in Ellie’s kitchen, but it was 5,000 miles later and trip back to Colombia when she felt re-inspired by her Latin roots. After soaking up the vibrant colours, tropical flavours and Latin beats of her family’s homeland, she returned home to bottle it.

Fuelled by that Latin positivity, Ellie set out to infuse the sun-drenched flavours of Colombia with her non-alcoholic spirits. The result? Caleño. Non-alcoholic spirits, for anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Presenter, actress and model Sarah-Jane Crawford has been in the public eye for nearly 15 years and remains one of the leading lights of TV and radio. For 8 years she hosted shows across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, as well as regularly covering awards ceremonies such as the BAFTAs for E! News, festivals for BBC3 and has enjoyed long term contracts with the likes of MTV and Channel 4.

A committed vegan, and official ambassador for Veganuary, Sarah-Jane has on several occasions gone head to head with Piers Morgan on ITV’s GMB to debate matters of animal welfare and the resignation of William Sitwell editor of Waitrose Food magazine.

In August 2020 Sarah-jane welcomed her first child, with football manager Brian Barry-Murphy and is committed to raising awareness around maternal health for women of colour. Sarah-Jane is launching her very first fertility focused podcast called A Womb of One’s Own which will see her conduct long in-depth interviews with celebrities and experts about the challenges to becoming or not becoming a Mother.

Born and raised in London, Paul was an amateur boxer until the age of 21when he landed his first modeling job for Banana Republic featured on billboards all over New York’s Times Square. His Levi's jeans campaign launched a new kind of TV advertising career, and Sculfor soon moved to Europe where he was working out of Milan and Paris with the likes of Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Versace, and Jean Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith and Valentino.

Due to his success as a male model, he has frequently been referred to as 'the original male supermodel'. An Attitude magazine front-page article commented on 'the face that's worth a million dollars' and Paul starred in numerous campaigns for the world's best-loved brands, as one of the true 90s supers.

Known for his down to earth nature, British sense of humor and professionalism, Paul has enjoyed an exciting and varied career since. Paul runs a charity to help addicts called Stride Foundation and is working on his own podcast coming soon.

Paul joins us to discuss his journey leading to sobriety and the impact being sober has had on his life.

LUCY SPRAGGAN - CHOOSING SOBRIETY

It’s been eight years since Lucy unknowingly wandered onto the X Factor stage in 2012 to what would be the beginning of an incredible journey, both professionally and personally.

That year being the most googled musician and 4th most watched video in the world, combined with a tenacious work ethic, led to sold out tours across the globe and over 100 million streams.

She is known as a complex singer songwriter and emotive wordsmith, whether they are happy or sad, funny or thought-provoking, Lucy provides them with a direct link between her songs and their own life stories.

One of the most recent singles released in October of 2020, ‘Sober’ is a bare, open and exposed look at the singer, for good and for bad, having faced many struggles with alcohol and substance abuse in her life. Lucy has always been open about her struggles with her mental health and, in stark comparison to times past, Lucy has spent the last 17 months sober, and has discovered a brand new side to herself saying she has ‘more mental clarity than ever’. Her mental and physical health and wellbeing has become a huge part of who she is, and her widely followed journey was laid bare for all to see on social media.

2020 was difficult, as it has been for everyone, but for an artist like Lucy, being unable to play to the thousands of fans around the UK and abroad has been a huge blow both professionally and personally.

After 28 years of abusing alcohol and drugs and 6 months in rehab he embarked on a life of sobriety. Experiencing somewhat of a re-birth and with his passion for music, he became once again notorious on the global music scene.
